Object catalog

What Stacksync syncs in Ukg Pro.

These objects sync between Ukg Pro and any connected system, with field-level mapping and conflict resolution. Custom fields are picked up from the live schema where Ukg Pro exposes them.

Employee (Person Details)
Core worker record with demographics and identifiers; read by listing employee IDs then fetching each profile, and created on hire via the personnel/onboarding endpoints.
Employment Details
Employment status, hire and service dates, and company assignment; the record that drives active/terminated state for provisioning downstream.
Job / Position History
Effective-dated job, position, department, supervisor, location, and cost center; the most-synced record for org charts, provisioning, and analytics.
Compensation Details
Effective-dated pay rate and salary; usually read into a warehouse for comp reporting and writable as new dated changes through the compensation endpoints.
Payroll (Pay Statements, Direct Deposit, Earnings)
Pay statements, direct-deposit accounts, and earnings history; read-only pay data replicated into finance and warehouse systems for labor-cost reporting.
Terminations
Termination transactions posted with a terminationDate and a reason code that must match the tenant's configured reason table; drives account deprovisioning.
Configuration Setup (Code Tables)
Reference data such as jobs, locations, positions, earnings, and deduction codes; used to resolve and validate field values when mapping records during sync.
Time & Attendance (UTA)
Timekeeping and worked-hours data exposed by the UTA services; synced into scheduling, payroll, or workforce-analytics databases.
API surface

How Stacksync connects to Ukg Pro.

The connector runs on Ukg Pro's native API. Stacksync manages authentication, rate limits, retries, and schema changes so your team does not maintain integration code.

Connection
REST API (UKG Pro HCM REST services) with separate Onboarding and Recruiting REST APIs, plus legacy SOAP-based UKG Pro Web Services
Authentication
Core HCM REST APIs use HTTP Basic authentication with a dedicated web service account, plus a Customer API Key and a User API Key sent as headers (found under System Configuration > Security > Service Account Administration); the Onboarding and Recruiting REST APIs instead require a bearer Authorization Token from the token endpoint.
Change detection
No CDC stream. UKG Pro publishes Pro HCM Webhook Events for changes such as new hire, employee and job detail changes, termination, and PTO, which Stacksync subscribes to for near-real-time triggers; bulk and historical loads use paged reads with each service's modified-since filters.
Rate limits
An API gateway throttles calls per client over a rolling window (typically per minute); UKG does not publish exact numeric thresholds. Exceeding the limit returns HTTP 429, and UKG recommends a roughly one-second looping backoff before resuming (a Retry-After header is not yet standard). Reads are offset-paginated.

Use cases

What teams run on the Ukg Pro connector.

UKG Pro (formerly UltiPro) is the HCM system of record for mid-market and enterprise employers, owned by HRIS admins and HR operations. It holds the worker master — person and employment details, job and position history, compensation, and payroll — plus configuration code tables for jobs, locations, and cost centers. Payroll, IT provisioning, ERP, and reporting all depend on current worker and org data, so UKG Pro is the source downstream systems read from and, for hires, terminations, and job changes, write back to.

  • IT identity & provisioning
  • Payroll teams
  • People analytics / HR data teams
  1. Two-way sync of Employee and Job Details (position, department, supervisor, location, cost center) into Postgres so provisioning, internal apps, and analytics read current worker and org data in SQL while HR edits in UKG Pro.

  2. Push new hires (Employee, Employment, Job) into an ERP, IdP, or app database when onboarding completes so account, cost-center, and payroll setup fire on hire instead of manual report exports.

  3. Replicate Compensation and pay-statement / earnings history into a warehouse for headcount, labor-cost, and payroll reporting without manual BI exports.

  4. Deprovision accounts by subscribing to UKG Pro termination and job-change webhook events to disable IdP and app access as changes become effective.

  5. Keep Configuration code tables (jobs, locations, departments, cost centers) aligned between UKG Pro and an ERP so org and cost-center hierarchies match.

  6. Two-way sync of Employee and Job Details (position, department, supervisor, location) into Postgres so provisioning, internal apps, and analytics read current worker and org data in SQL while HR keeps editing in UKG Pro.

FAQ

Ukg Pro connector FAQ

What can I sync with the Ukg Pro connector?

Ukg Pro's core objects — Employee (Person Details), Employment Details, Job / Position History, Compensation Details and custom fields — can sync with any of 302 other systems. Every integration is real-time and bidirectional, with field-level mapping and conflict resolution.

How does Stacksync connect to Ukg Pro?

Via REST API (UKG Pro HCM REST services) with separate Onboarding and Recruiting REST APIs, plus legacy SOAP-based UKG Pro Web Services, authenticated with Core HCM REST APIs use HTTP Basic authentication with a dedicated web service account, plus a Customer API Key and a User API Key sent as headers (found under System Configuration > Security > Service Account Administration); the Onboarding and Recruiting REST APIs instead require a bearer Authorization Token from the token endpoint.. Changes are detected as follows — no CDC stream. UKG Pro publishes Pro HCM Webhook Events for changes such as new hire, employee and job detail changes, termination, and PTO, which Stacksync subscribes to for near-real-time triggers; bulk and historical loads use paged reads with each service's modified-since filters.. Stacksync manages rate limits, retries, and schema changes automatically.

Is the Ukg Pro connector two-way?

Yes. Changes made in Ukg Pro propagate to the connected system and vice versa, in milliseconds. One-way flows are also supported when a direction should stay read-only.

How long does an Ukg Pro integration take to set up?

Most Ukg Pro integrations go live in minutes: authenticate Ukg Pro and the other system, pick objects and fields, and enable the sync. No code and no infrastructure to manage.

Is Ukg Pro data secure in transit?

Stacksync is SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001, GDPR and HIPAA compliant. Ukg Pro data is encrypted in transit, and a zero-persistent-storage architecture means records are not retained after a sync operation.
