STANDARDS FOR EXCELLENCE
Quality and success criteria
To ensure every Catalyst contribution delivers maximum value and reliability, all projects must meet the following quality and success criteria.
Comprehensive functionality
Your connector or workflow must be fully functional, supporting all relevant API endpoints, features, and automation goals as defined in the project scope. Partial implementations or missing core features will not be accepted.
Exceptional user experience
Solutions should provide a seamless, intuitive experience for end users. This includes robust error handling with clear, actionable messages, logical field mapping for easy configuration, and thorough, accessible documentation that guides users.
Production-ready standards
All submissions must be ready for real-world deployment. This means including comprehensive tests, automated monitoring or health checks where relevant, and ensuring stability under expected usage loads.
Adherence to community coding guidelines
Code must follow the official Stacksync community coding guidelines. This covers code style, naming conventions, documentation standards, and best practices for maintainability and security. Peer reviews and automated linting tools will be used to verify compliance.
FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Who can join the Developer Catalyst Program?
Independent developers, freelancers, agencies, and SIs building on Stacksync. The program is also open to internal developer teams at customer organizations who want deeper engagement with the Stacksync product team. There is no revenue threshold — what matters is that you are actively building integrations, workflows, or custom connectors on Stacksync.
What benefits does the program offer?
Free Stacksync platform credits for development and testing, dedicated Slack channel with the Stacksync engineering team, early access to product roadmap, quarterly product briefings, beta access to new connectors and features, and co-marketing opportunities for case studies and joint blog posts. Top-performing members receive an annual Catalyst Award and event sponsorship.
Are there free Stacksync credits for developers?
Yes — every approved Catalyst member receives a monthly platform credit allowance that covers development and small-scale testing. The default allocation is enough for 5 to 10 active sync connections plus workflow runs. Production usage requires a standard paid plan; the credits are explicitly for dev, demo, and prototype use. Larger allocations are available for partners doing extensive proof-of-concept work for customers.
How does the program help with co-marketing?
Stacksync co-markets Catalyst-built integrations and customer success stories across our blog, newsletter, and event circuit. Joint case studies feature both your company and the customer outcome. Annual events (Stacksync Connect) include a Catalyst showcase track. Top contributors are featured in the Stacksync partners directory at stacksync.com/partners.
Do I need to be a registered company to apply?
No — individual developers are welcome to apply alongside companies and agencies. The application asks about what you are building and which integrations you are working on. Approval is based on project fit and active engagement, not on company status or revenue. Many Catalyst members started as independent contributors and later joined as Stacksync customers or partners.
How do I apply?
Use the application form linked from this page. The form asks for your name, contact details, a short description of what you are building or planning to build on Stacksync, and any existing integration work. Review takes 5 to 10 business days. Approved applicants receive an onboarding email with Slack access, credit allocation, and a kickoff call with the developer-relations team.
