Why teams connect 6sense and Ukg Pro

Flow 6sense data into Ukg Pro in real time — no exports, no schedulers, no custom scripts.

6sense is a read-only source: Stacksync reads its data in real time and delivers it into Ukg Pro, so Ukg Pro always reflects the current state of 6sense — without exports, scripts, or schedulers.

6sense runs on people as much as on accounts: every contact, deal, and account has an owner, and those owners are employees whose roles, teams, and status are held in Ukg Pro. Ukg Pro is the system of record for the workforce, from new hires to promotions to departures, and often for the candidates the business is still deciding on. When the two systems are connected only by re-keying or an overnight export, they drift apart, and the CRM ends up assigning accounts to people who have left, holding territories that no longer match the org chart, and waiting days to give a new rep access.

Common use cases

  • 01 Pull segment membership into a marketing automation platform to trigger campaigns when accounts enter a segment.
  • 02 Land account-level intent data in a warehouse to join with pipeline data for ABM reporting.
  • 03 Two-way sync of Employee and Job Details (position, department, supervisor, location, cost center) into Postgres so provisioning, internal apps, and analytics read current worker and org data in SQL while HR edits in UKG Pro.
  • 04 Push new hires (Employee, Employment, Job) into an ERP, IdP, or app database when onboarding completes so account, cost-center, and payroll setup fire on hire instead of manual report exports.

Common sync patterns

New team members provisioned when they are hired

When Ukg Pro records a new hire, a matching user or owner is created in 6sense, so a new rep can start working accounts without waiting on a manual setup ticket.

Ownership and territory follow the org chart

When a person changes team, manager, or region in Ukg Pro, their accounts and territory assignments in 6sense update to match, so pipeline stays with the right owner.

Deactivate access when someone leaves

When Ukg Pro marks a worker as departed, the matching user in 6sense is flagged or deactivated, so former employees do not keep CRM access after their last day.

What you can sync between 6sense and Ukg Pro

Representative objects on each side — any object or custom field can map to any target. Schemas are auto-detected; types are converted between the two systems.

6sense objects Ukg Pro objects How this pairing syncs
Segments Dynamic account lists built from intent and fit criteria, read out to drive targeting. Terminations Termination transactions posted with a terminationDate and a reason code that must match the tenant's configured reason table; drives account deprovisioning. Segments is specific to 6sense and Terminations to Ukg Pro — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side.
Buying Stage Scores Model-predicted stage per account, synced onto CRM records for prioritization. Configuration Setup (Code Tables) Reference data such as jobs, locations, positions, earnings, and deduction codes; used to resolve and validate field values when mapping records during sync. Buying Stage Scores is specific to 6sense and Configuration Setup (Code Tables) to Ukg Pro — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side.
Intent Signals Keyword-level research activity used to flag in-market accounts. Time & Attendance (UTA) Timekeeping and worked-hours data exposed by the UTA services; synced into scheduling, payroll, or workforce-analytics databases. Intent Signals is specific to 6sense and Time & Attendance (UTA) to Ukg Pro — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side.
People / Contacts Persona and contact data surfaced for accounts, used to build outreach lists. Employee (Person Details) Core worker record with demographics and identifiers; read by listing employee IDs then fetching each profile, and created on hire via the personnel/onboarding endpoints. People / Contacts is specific to 6sense and Employee (Person Details) to Ukg Pro — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side.
Reach Scores Model scores reflecting the level and recency of outreach to an account or contact, used to prioritize follow-up. Employment Details Employment status, hire and service dates, and company assignment; the record that drives active/terminated state for provisioning downstream. Reach Scores is specific to 6sense and Employment Details to Ukg Pro — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side.
Accounts Company records enriched with firmographics and intent data, matched to CRM accounts. Job / Position History Effective-dated job, position, department, supervisor, location, and cost center; the most-synced record for org charts, provisioning, and analytics. Accounts is specific to 6sense and Job / Position History to Ukg Pro — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side.

How changes propagate between 6sense and Ukg Pro

Each direction of the sync is driven by what the source system can signal and what the destination accepts — detection, delivery, and expected latency below.

6sense Ukg Pro Interval-based propagation

DetectionStacksync polls 6sense for changes on an incremental schedule, reading only records changed since the previous pass. Polling.

DeliveryEach detected change is written to Ukg Pro through its API, with automatic retries and rate-limit backoff.

Ukg Pro 6sense Sub-second propagation

DetectionUkg Pro notifies Stacksync of record changes through webhook events. No CDC stream.

Delivery6sense does not accept inbound record writes, so this direction carries requests rather than records: 6sense's output flows back as field updates on the originating Ukg Pro records.

Rate-limit considerations

  • 6sense: Subject to the platform's API rate limits, which vary by contracted API package.
  • Ukg Pro: An API gateway throttles calls per client over a rolling window (typically per minute); UKG does not publish exact numeric thresholds. Exceeding the limit returns HTTP 429, and UKG recommends a roughly one-second looping backoff before resuming (a Retry-After header is not yet standard). Reads are offset-paginated.

Integration surface
REST API (UKG Pro HCM REST services) with separate Onboarding and Recruiting REST APIs, plus legacy SOAP-based UKG Pro Web Services
Authentication
Core HCM REST APIs use HTTP Basic authentication with a dedicated web service account, plus a Customer API Key and a User API Key sent as headers (found under System Configuration > Security > Service Account Administration); the Onboarding and Recruiting REST APIs instead require a bearer Authorization Token from the token endpoint.
Change detection
No CDC stream. UKG Pro publishes Pro HCM Webhook Events for changes such as new hire, employee and job detail changes, termination, and PTO, which Stacksync subscribes to for near-real-time triggers; bulk and historical loads use paged reads with each service's modified-since filters.
