What Stacksync syncs in Zendesk.

These objects sync between Zendesk and any connected system, with field-level mapping and conflict resolution. Custom fields are picked up from the live schema where Zendesk exposes them.

Tickets
The central work object; synced to databases for SLA and volume reporting or mirrored into engineering tools.
Tickets Comments
Synced with incremental and full sync per the Stacksync docs.
Users
End users and agents; matched to CRM contacts to keep requester data consistent.
Organizations
Company groupings for users; typically kept aligned with CRM accounts.
Attachments
Synced with incremental and full sync per the Stacksync docs.
Ticket Forms
Synced with incremental and full sync per the Stacksync docs.

How Stacksync connects to Zendesk.

The connector runs on Zendesk's native API. Stacksync manages authentication, rate limits, retries, and schema changes so your team does not maintain integration code.

Use cases

What teams run on the Zendesk connector.

Zendesk is bought by support and CX leadership as the ticketing system of record for customer service teams from mid-market to enterprise. It accumulates the complete history of customer conversations, including tickets, comments, and requester and organization records, which makes it the system RevOps, data engineering, and product teams pull from for churn signals, account health, and support analytics.

  • Support operations
  • CX leadership
  • IT administrators
  • Data engineering
  1. Sync tickets, users, and organizations into Postgres so support analytics run on SQL instead of repeated API pulls.

  2. Write CRM account tier, owner, and renewal data onto Zendesk organizations and ticket fields so agents see context in the ticket.

  3. Keep Zendesk users and organizations aligned with CRM contacts and accounts in both directions.

  4. Mirror high-priority or escalated tickets into engineering trackers through the synced database.

  5. Consolidate several Zendesk instances into one reporting database after a merger or brand split.

  6. Stream Tickets and Ticket Comments into a Postgres database or warehouse so data teams join support activity with product and revenue data for account health scoring.

FAQ

Zendesk connector FAQ

What can I sync with the Zendesk connector?

Zendesk's core objects — Tickets, Tickets Comments, Users, Organizations and custom fields — can sync with any of 302 other systems. Every integration is real-time and bidirectional, with field-level mapping and conflict resolution.

How does Stacksync connect to Zendesk?

Via REST API, authenticated with OAuth app authorization: enter your Zendesk subdomain (from {sub_domain_name}.zendesk.com) in Stacksync Connections and click "Authorize App". Changes are detected as follows — incremental export endpoints with cursor-based pagination, plus webhooks fired by triggers. Stacksync manages rate limits, retries, and schema changes automatically.

Is the Zendesk connector two-way?

Yes. Changes made in Zendesk propagate to the connected system and vice versa, in milliseconds. One-way flows are also supported when a direction should stay read-only.

How long does a Zendesk integration take to set up?

Most Zendesk integrations go live in minutes: authenticate Zendesk and the other system, pick objects and fields, and enable the sync. No code and no infrastructure to manage.

Is Zendesk data secure in transit?

Stacksync is SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001, GDPR and HIPAA compliant. Zendesk data is encrypted in transit, and a zero-persistent-storage architecture means records are not retained after a sync operation.
