Two-way sync
Changes in Slack or Ukg Pro instantly reflect in both systems. No stale data, no manual imports.
Keep Slack and Ukg Pro in sync without custom scripts. Cut weeks of integration work, eliminate silent data drift, and give your team a single, reliable source of truth.
Each tool in Slack keeps its own list of who can use it: users, members, or agents, along with the team they sit on and whether they are still active. Ukg Pro is the authoritative record of the same people as employees, with their department, manager, and employment status. When those two are connected only by manual account admin or a periodic export, the work tools drift: new hires wait days for access, team and manager changes never catch up, and people who have left keep standing accounts.
Stacksync syncs Messages, Threads, Users, User groups in Slack with Payroll (Pay Statements, Direct Deposit, Earnings), Terminations, Configuration Setup (Code Tables), Time & Attendance (UTA) in Ukg Pro bi-directionally and in real time. A person added, moved, or offboarded in Ukg Pro creates or updates the matching user in Slack within seconds, with field-level mapping and conflict resolution in place of spreadsheets and one-off account changes. Where Slack captures details of its own, such as a corrected contact or a login identity, those can flow back to Ukg Pro in whichever direction you configure.
Because the sync is field-level, each system keeps its own extras; only the shared facts, who a person is, which team they belong to, and whether their access should be on, are held in agreement.
When someone is marked as leaving in Ukg Pro, the matching account in Slack is deactivated or flagged, so departures do not leave open access behind.
A person's name, title, contact details, or status corrected in either system updates the other, so both sides stop maintaining separate copies of the same person.
Department, team, and reporting-line changes from Ukg Pro keep the groups, queues, or projects in Slack assigned to the right people.
Representative objects on each side — any object or custom field can map to any target. Schemas are auto-detected; types are converted between the two systems.
| Slack objects | Ukg Pro objects | How this pairing syncs | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Reactions Emoji responses that can drive workflows, such as approving a synced record. | Payroll (Pay Statements, Direct Deposit, Earnings) Pay statements, direct-deposit accounts, and earnings history; read-only pay data replicated into finance and warehouse systems for labor-cost reporting. | Reactions is specific to Slack and Payroll (Pay Statements, Direct Deposit, Earnings) to Ukg Pro — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Channels Conversations (public, private, DMs) that messages are read from and posted to. | Terminations Termination transactions posted with a terminationDate and a reason code that must match the tenant's configured reason table; drives account deprovisioning. | Channels is specific to Slack and Terminations to Ukg Pro — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Messages Keyed by channel and timestamp; posted via chat.postMessage and read via history methods. | Configuration Setup (Code Tables) Reference data such as jobs, locations, positions, earnings, and deduction codes; used to resolve and validate field values when mapping records during sync. | Messages is specific to Slack and Configuration Setup (Code Tables) to Ukg Pro — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Threads Replies grouped under a parent message timestamp, preserved when archiving conversations. | Time & Attendance (UTA) Timekeeping and worked-hours data exposed by the UTA services; synced into scheduling, payroll, or workforce-analytics databases. | Threads is specific to Slack and Time & Attendance (UTA) to Ukg Pro — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Users Workspace members with profile fields, synced against HR systems and identity providers. | Employee (Person Details) Core worker record with demographics and identifiers; read by listing employee IDs then fetching each profile, and created on hire via the personnel/onboarding endpoints. | Users is specific to Slack and Employee (Person Details) to Ukg Pro — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| User groups Handles like @support that map to teams in external systems. | Employment Details Employment status, hire and service dates, and company assignment; the record that drives active/terminated state for provisioning downstream. | User groups is specific to Slack and Employment Details to Ukg Pro — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. |
Each direction of the sync is driven by what the source system can signal and what the destination accepts — detection, delivery, and expected latency below.
DetectionSlack notifies Stacksync of record changes through webhook events. Events API webhooks, delivered over HTTP callbacks or Socket Mode.
DeliveryEach detected change is written to Ukg Pro through its API, with automatic retries and rate-limit backoff.
DetectionUkg Pro notifies Stacksync of record changes through webhook events. No CDC stream.

Fields map automatically even when names and types differ. Stacksync handles transformation and type casting for you, zero configuration required.
Yes. Stacksync provides a managed, real-time two-way integration between Slack and Ukg Pro: authenticate both systems, choose the objects to sync (such as Slack's Reactions and Channels), map fields visually, and changes propagate both ways in milliseconds — no code required.
Common patterns for Slack and Ukg Pro: Offboarding: no standing access after a departure; One employee directory; Org and team structure kept current. When someone is marked as leaving in Ukg Pro, the matching account in Slack is deactivated or flagged, so departures do not leave open access behind.
Slack: Web API (HTTP RPC-style methods) plus the Events API. Authentication: OAuth 2.0 with bot or user tokens and granular scopes. Ukg Pro: REST API (UKG Pro HCM REST services) with separate Onboarding and Recruiting REST APIs, plus legacy SOAP-based UKG Pro Web Services. Authentication: Core HCM REST APIs use HTTP Basic authentication with a dedicated web service account, plus a Customer API Key and a User API Key sent as headers (found under System Configuration > Security > Service Account Administration); the Onboarding and Recruiting REST APIs instead require a bearer Authorization Token from the token endpoint. Stacksync manages authentication, retries, and rate limits on both sides.
Slack: Messages are identified by channel plus a ts timestamp, and the same ts value anchors thread replies. Ukg Pro: UKG Pro publishes webhook events (new hire, employee and job detail changes, termination, PTO) for near-real-time change notification; there is no CDC stream, so historical loads still rely on paged modified-since reads. Stacksync's field mapping accounts for these differences between Slack and Ukg Pro without custom code.
Stacksync is SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 certified with HIPAA BAA support. Data is encrypted in transit, and a zero-persistent-storage architecture means Slack and Ukg Pro records are not retained after a sync operation.
Stacksync pricing is usage-based and starts at $1,000/month, including the managed Slack and Ukg Pro connectors, real-time two-way sync, monitoring, and support. That replaces building and maintaining a custom Slack–Ukg Pro integration in-house.
