Why teams connect SuiteAnalytics and Ukg Pro

Sync the workers, org structure, and cost centers that SuiteAnalytics and Ukg Pro share in real time, so the people Ukg Pro manages stay current in the system that runs finance and operations.

SuiteAnalytics is a read-only source: Stacksync reads its data in real time and delivers it into Ukg Pro, so Ukg Pro always reflects the current state of SuiteAnalytics — without exports, scripts, or schedulers.

Ukg Pro is the system of record for people: who was hired, which department and location they sit in, who they report to, and how they are paid. SuiteAnalytics runs finance and operations, and much of what it does depends on that same information, from booking labor cost to approving an expense report to staffing a project. Where the two are bridged by re-keying or an overnight file, each side spends the day out of step, with new hires missing from the systems they need and leavers still active where they should not be.

Common use cases

  • 01 Give internal tools a read replica of item and inventory data without hitting SuiteScript governance limits
  • 02 Join ERP data with CRM data in Postgres for quote-to-cash and revenue visibility
  • 03 Keep Configuration code tables (jobs, locations, departments, cost centers) aligned between UKG Pro and an ERP so org and cost-center hierarchies match.
  • 04 Two-way sync of Employee and Job Details (position, department, supervisor, location, cost center) into Postgres so provisioning, internal apps, and analytics read current worker and org data in SQL while HR edits in UKG Pro.

Common sync patterns

One org structure

Departments, cost centers, and locations that both systems reference stay in agreement, so labor cost, approvals, and reporting in SuiteAnalytics roll up to the same structure Ukg Pro maintains.

Reporting lines drive approvals

Manager and reporting-hierarchy changes in Ukg Pro keep expense and purchase approval chains in SuiteAnalytics pointed at the right people.

Where Ukg Pro runs payroll: labor cost in the books

Pay and compensation data from Ukg Pro posts into SuiteAnalytics as labor cost, so finance sees workforce spend without re-entering it by hand.

What you can sync between SuiteAnalytics and Ukg Pro

Representative objects on each side — any object or custom field can map to any target. Schemas are auto-detected; types are converted between the two systems.

SuiteAnalytics objects Ukg Pro objects How this pairing syncs
Account Synced with incremental and full sync per the Stacksync docs. Configuration Setup (Code Tables) Reference data such as jobs, locations, positions, earnings, and deduction codes; used to resolve and validate field values when mapping records during sync. Account is specific to SuiteAnalytics and Configuration Setup (Code Tables) to Ukg Pro — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side.
Accounting Period Synced with incremental and full sync per the Stacksync docs. Time & Attendance (UTA) Timekeeping and worked-hours data exposed by the UTA services; synced into scheduling, payroll, or workforce-analytics databases. Accounting Period is specific to SuiteAnalytics and Time & Attendance (UTA) to Ukg Pro — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side.
Bin Transfer Synced with incremental and full sync per the Stacksync docs. Employee (Person Details) Core worker record with demographics and identifiers; read by listing employee IDs then fetching each profile, and created on hire via the personnel/onboarding endpoints. Bin Transfer is specific to SuiteAnalytics and Employee (Person Details) to Ukg Pro — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side.
Currency Rate Synced with incremental and full sync per the Stacksync docs. Employment Details Employment status, hire and service dates, and company assignment; the record that drives active/terminated state for provisioning downstream. Currency Rate is specific to SuiteAnalytics and Employment Details to Ukg Pro — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side.
Price Level Synced with incremental and full sync per the Stacksync docs. Job / Position History Effective-dated job, position, department, supervisor, location, and cost center; the most-synced record for org charts, provisioning, and analytics. Price Level is specific to SuiteAnalytics and Job / Position History to Ukg Pro — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side.
Term Synced with incremental and full sync per the Stacksync docs. Compensation Details Effective-dated pay rate and salary; usually read into a warehouse for comp reporting and writable as new dated changes through the compensation endpoints. Term is specific to SuiteAnalytics and Compensation Details to Ukg Pro — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side.

How changes propagate between SuiteAnalytics and Ukg Pro

Each direction of the sync is driven by what the source system can signal and what the destination accepts — detection, delivery, and expected latency below.

SuiteAnalytics Ukg Pro Interval-based propagation

DetectionStacksync polls SuiteAnalytics for changes on an incremental schedule, reading only records changed since the previous pass.

DeliveryEach detected change is written to Ukg Pro through its API, with automatic retries and rate-limit backoff.

Ukg Pro SuiteAnalytics Sub-second propagation

DetectionUkg Pro notifies Stacksync of record changes through webhook events. No CDC stream.

DeliverySuiteAnalytics does not accept inbound record writes, so this direction carries requests rather than records: SuiteAnalytics's output flows back as field updates on the originating Ukg Pro records.

Rate-limit considerations

  • SuiteAnalytics: Concurrency and query load are governed by the NetSuite account's Connect service allowances rather than per-request rate limits.
  • Ukg Pro: An API gateway throttles calls per client over a rolling window (typically per minute); UKG does not publish exact numeric thresholds. Exceeding the limit returns HTTP 429, and UKG recommends a roughly one-second looping backoff before resuming (a Retry-After header is not yet standard). Reads are offset-paginated.

Ukg Pro

Integration surface
REST API (UKG Pro HCM REST services) with separate Onboarding and Recruiting REST APIs, plus legacy SOAP-based UKG Pro Web Services
Authentication
Core HCM REST APIs use HTTP Basic authentication with a dedicated web service account, plus a Customer API Key and a User API Key sent as headers (found under System Configuration > Security > Service Account Administration); the Onboarding and Recruiting REST APIs instead require a bearer Authorization Token from the token endpoint.
Change detection
No CDC stream. UKG Pro publishes Pro HCM Webhook Events for changes such as new hire, employee and job detail changes, termination, and PTO, which Stacksync subscribes to for near-real-time triggers; bulk and historical loads use paged reads with each service's modified-since filters.
Capabilities
read · write · webhooks
Rate limits
An API gateway throttles calls per client over a rolling window (typically per minute); UKG does not publish exact numeric thresholds. Exceeding the limit returns HTTP 429, and UKG recommends a roughly one-second looping backoff before resuming (a Retry-After header is not yet standard). Reads are offset-paginated.
