Object catalog

What Stacksync syncs in SendGrid.

These objects sync between SendGrid and any connected system, with field-level mapping and conflict resolution. Custom fields are picked up from the live schema where SendGrid exposes them.

Email Activity
Synced with incremental and full sync per the Stacksync docs.
Contacts
Marketing recipients upserted from CRM or database records, including custom field values.
List
Synced with incremental and full sync per the Stacksync docs.
Segments
Query-based contact groups whose membership SendGrid computes from contact fields.
Categories
Synced with incremental and full sync per the Stacksync docs.
Senders
Synced with incremental and full sync per the Stacksync docs.
Single Sends
One-off marketing campaigns whose stats are read back for reporting.
Unsubscribe Groups
Synced with incremental and full sync per the Stacksync docs.
API surface

How Stacksync connects to SendGrid.

The connector runs on SendGrid's native API. Stacksync manages authentication, rate limits, retries, and schema changes so your team does not maintain integration code.

Connection
REST API (v3)
Authentication
API key (create in SendGrid Settings > API Keys with Custom Access / Full Access for the objects to sync; key begins with "SG")
Change detection
Event Webhook posts delivery and engagement events (processed, delivered, open, click, bounce, spam report) to an HTTP endpoint; contact and list changes are detected by polling
Rate limits
Subject to the platform's API rate limits; contact upserts are batched, asynchronous jobs rather than per-row writes

What ships with SendGrid

Connect SendGrid for flexible, real-time data sync.

Real-time sync, workflow automation, event queues, EDI, and monitoring, for every connection.

Real-time

Two-way sync

Changes in SendGrid instantly reflect across connected systems. No stale data, no manual imports.

No-code + pro-code

Workflow automation

Trigger automated workflows whenever SendGrid data changes, update records, fire webhooks, or kick off sequences without brittle API scripts.

At scale

Event queues

Handle millions of events per minute without losing a single SendGrid record.

Observability

Monitoring

Track your SendGrid sync health, view errors, and replay failed events in one click.

Trading partners

EDI

Transform legacy EDI complexity into simple database interactions.

Use cases

What teams run on the SendGrid connector.

Marketing operations and lifecycle teams, together with the engineering groups that own transactional email, run SendGrid (a Twilio product) as the delivery layer for transactional and marketing email at scale. It sits beside the CRM and the product database, and it accumulates the engagement record - sends, contacts, segments, unsubscribes - that the rest of the go-to-market stack needs for segmentation and reporting.

  • Marketing ops
  • Lifecycle/CRM marketers
  • RevOps
  • Data engineering
  1. Sync CRM contacts and their custom fields into SendGrid lists so campaign targeting reflects live sales data

  2. Write bounces, spam reports, and unsubscribes back to the CRM to keep email opt-in status accurate everywhere

  3. Stream Event Webhook engagement data into a Postgres database or warehouse for campaign and deliverability reporting

  4. Keep product-usage attributes from an operational database updated on SendGrid contacts to drive lifecycle segments

  5. Reconcile transactional email activity with support tickets so agents see what a customer was sent

  6. Sync Contacts, Lists, and Segments from a CRM or database into SendGrid so send audiences stay current without manual CSV uploads.

All SendGrid integrations

Pick the system you need to keep in sync with SendGrid. Each page covers the sync setup, field mapping, and common workflows for that pair.

How it works

Set up SendGrid in minutes, without APIs.

Configure and sync within minutes, no code. Whether you sync 50k or 100M+ records, Stacksync handles the queues, infra, and plumbing. Integrations are non-invasive and need zero setup on your systems.

FAQ

SendGrid connector FAQ

What can I sync with the SendGrid connector?

SendGrid's core objects — Email Activity, Contacts, List, Segments and custom fields — can sync with any of 302 other systems. Every integration is real-time and bidirectional, with field-level mapping and conflict resolution.

How does Stacksync connect to SendGrid?

Via REST API (v3), authenticated with API key (create in SendGrid Settings > API Keys with Custom Access / Full Access for the objects to sync; key begins with "SG"). Changes are detected as follows — event Webhook posts delivery and engagement events (processed, delivered, open, click, bounce, spam report) to an HTTP endpoint; contact and list changes are detected by polling. Stacksync manages rate limits, retries, and schema changes automatically.

Is the SendGrid connector two-way?

Yes. Changes made in SendGrid propagate to the connected system and vice versa, in milliseconds. One-way flows are also supported when a direction should stay read-only.

How long does a SendGrid integration take to set up?

Most SendGrid integrations go live in minutes: authenticate SendGrid and the other system, pick objects and fields, and enable the sync. No code and no infrastructure to manage.

Is SendGrid data secure in transit?

Stacksync is SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001, GDPR and HIPAA compliant. SendGrid data is encrypted in transit, and a zero-persistent-storage architecture means records are not retained after a sync operation.
