Two-way sync
Changes in Drift or Zendesk instantly reflect in both systems. No stale data, no manual imports.
Keep Drift and Zendesk in sync without custom scripts. Cut weeks of integration work, eliminate silent data drift, and give your team a single, reliable source of truth.
The CRM is supposed to be the record of every customer relationship, but customer-relevant information also accumulates in the other tools a team runs. Whatever Zendesk holds or produces that touches a customer, whether conversations, payments, replies, enriched data, or notes, the CRM only benefits if it arrives without someone copying it over.
Stacksync connects Tickets Comments, Users, Organizations, Attachments in Zendesk to Conversations, Messages, Accounts, Users in Drift with bi-directional, real-time sync. Activity and record changes in Zendesk update the matching contact or account in Drift, and CRM data flows the other way wherever Zendesk can store and use it.
Enriched fields land directly on records in Drift, and refreshes keep them from going stale.
Owner, lifecycle stage, or account details from Drift sync into Zendesk, so people working there have the context without switching tools.
Tickets and conversations attach to the right contact and account in Drift, so sales sees open issues before the next call.
Representative objects on each side — any object or custom field can map to any target. Schemas are auto-detected; types are converted between the two systems.
| Drift objects | Zendesk objects | |
|---|---|---|
| Accounts Company records used for account-based routing and targeting. | Tickets Comments Synced with incremental and full sync per the Stacksync docs. | |
| Users Agents and sales reps who own conversations and meetings. | Users End users and agents; matched to CRM contacts to keep requester data consistent. | |
| Playbooks Bot flows that generate conversations and qualify visitors. | Organizations Company groupings for users; typically kept aligned with CRM accounts. | |
| Meetings Meetings booked through Drift, synced to CRM as sales activities. | Attachments Synced with incremental and full sync per the Stacksync docs. | |
| Contacts Visitor and lead records created or matched from chat identities; the main CRM-sync object. | Ticket Forms Synced with incremental and full sync per the Stacksync docs. | |
| Conversations Chat threads with status and participants; the center of Drift's data model. | Tickets The central work object; synced to databases for SLA and volume reporting or mirrored into engineering tools. |

Drift: REST API. Authentication: OAuth 2.0 via apps registered on the Drift developer platform. Zendesk: REST API. Authentication: OAuth app authorization: enter your Zendesk subdomain (from {sub_domain_name}.zendesk.com) in Stacksync Connections and click "Authorize App". Stacksync manages authentication, retries, and rate limits on both sides.
Zendesk: Organizations, Attachments, and Ticket Forms are not enabled by default (On Request only). Drift: Drift's data model centers on conversations: messages, participants, and attributes hang off the conversation record, and contacts are created or matched from chat identities. Stacksync's field mapping accounts for these differences between Drift and Zendesk without custom code.
Stacksync is SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 certified with HIPAA BAA support. Data is encrypted in transit, and a zero-persistent-storage architecture means Drift and Zendesk records are not retained after a sync operation.
Stacksync pricing is usage-based and starts at $1,000/month, including the managed Drift and Zendesk connectors, real-time two-way sync, monitoring, and support. That replaces building and maintaining a custom Drift–Zendesk integration in-house.
