Object catalog

What Stacksync syncs in Adyen.

These objects sync between Adyen and any connected system, with field-level mapping and conflict resolution. Custom fields are picked up from the live schema where Adyen exposes them.

Payments
Checkout API payment requests and results (/payments); created to authorize a card, wallet, or local payment, and retrieved by pspReference. Final state arrives asynchronously via the AUTHORISATION webhook.
Modifications (Captures, Refunds, Cancels)
Actions on an authorized payment via /payments/{pspReference}/captures, /refunds, and /cancels; written to settle, return, or void funds, with results confirmed by CAPTURE and REFUND webhooks.
Payment Links
Hosted payment link objects created through /paymentLinks; created, retrieved, and expired, with paid or expired status reported back through webhooks for accounts-receivable sync.
Merchant Accounts
Company and merchant account entities in the Management API; read and updated to keep account configuration, payment-method settings, and capabilities aligned with internal systems.
Stores
Physical and online store entities under a merchant account (Management API); full CRUD, so new locations and their payment-method configuration can be provisioned from an internal admin source.
Users and API Credentials
Customer Area users and API-credential objects managed via the Management API; created, updated, and deprovisioned to keep Adyen access aligned with an IdP or HR source.
Webhook Configurations
Per-company or per-merchant webhook subscriptions (Management API); created, listed, and updated to control which events Adyen sends and to which endpoint and HMAC key.
Settlement Detail Reports
Downloadable reports of settled transactions, fees, and payouts per merchant account; read-only, delivered when a report webhook fires, and loaded for finance reconciliation.
API surface

How Stacksync connects to Adyen.

The connector runs on Adyen's native API. Stacksync manages authentication, rate limits, retries, and schema changes so your team does not maintain integration code.

Connection
REST APIs on adyen.com - Checkout (/checkout/v71), Management (/v3), Balance Platform / Configuration, Transfers, Payouts, and Reports, with standard webhooks for events
Authentication
API key in the X-API-Key header per web service or Balance Platform user (primary for Checkout, Management, and Balance Platform); Basic auth for classic web-service users; OAuth 2.0 for partner integrations; client keys are client-side only
Change detection
Standard webhooks for payment events (AUTHORISATION, CAPTURE, REFUND, CHARGEBACK, and more) plus Management, Balance Platform, and report webhooks; all HMAC-signed and acknowledged with a 2xx within about 10 seconds. No database-style CDC; historical transactions come from Settlement Detail Reports
Rate limits
Adyen does not publish fixed numeric rate limits; excessive requests return HTTP 429, and the Management API reports 'too many requests' in the error detail. Adyen recommends exponential backoff, and no rate-limit response headers are documented.

Use cases

What teams run on the Adyen connector.

Adyen is the global payments and financial-technology platform that enterprises and marketplaces run card, wallet, and local-payment processing on, owned by finance and payments engineering. It is the system of record for authorizations, captures, refunds, chargebacks, settlements, and payouts, plus the merchant-account, store, and user configuration behind them. Because it holds the authoritative record of money movement, order, billing, and ERP systems push payment actions in and pull transaction and settlement data out.

  1. Ingest AUTHORISATION, CAPTURE, REFUND, and CHARGEBACK webhooks into Postgres or a warehouse so finance reconciles Adyen settlements against orders in an ERP without manual report exports.

  2. Trigger a capture, refund, or cancel on an Adyen payment when an order's state changes in a CRM, OMS, or ERP, and write the returned pspReference and status back onto the record.

  3. Create Adyen Payment Links from an invoicing or billing system and sync each link's paid or expired status back so accounts receivable sees payment without opening the Customer Area.

  4. Provision Stores, Users, and API credentials through the Management API from an internal admin app or IdP so new locations and staff get the right Adyen access automatically.

  5. Load Settlement Detail Reports into a warehouse to break out fees, interchange, and net payouts by merchant account for finance and treasury reporting.

  6. Ingest AUTHORISATION, CAPTURE, REFUND, and CHARGEBACK webhooks into Postgres or a warehouse, keyed by pspReference and merchantReference, so finance reconciles Adyen settlements against ERP orders without exporting reports by hand.

FAQ

Adyen connector FAQ

What can I sync with the Adyen connector?

Adyen's core objects — Payments, Modifications (Captures, Refunds, Cancels), Payment Links, Merchant Accounts and custom fields — can sync with any of 302 other systems. Every integration is real-time and bidirectional, with field-level mapping and conflict resolution.

How does Stacksync connect to Adyen?

Via REST APIs on adyen.com - Checkout (/checkout/v71), Management (/v3), Balance Platform / Configuration, Transfers, Payouts, and Reports, with standard webhooks for events, authenticated with API key in the X-API-Key header per web service or Balance Platform user (primary for Checkout, Management, and Balance Platform); Basic auth for classic web-service users; OAuth 2.0 for partner integrations; client keys are client-side only. Changes are detected as follows — standard webhooks for payment events (AUTHORISATION, CAPTURE, REFUND, CHARGEBACK, and more) plus Management, Balance Platform, and report webhooks; all HMAC-signed and acknowledged with a 2xx within about 10 seconds. No database-style CDC; historical transactions come from Settlement Detail Reports. Stacksync manages rate limits, retries, and schema changes automatically.

Is the Adyen connector two-way?

Yes. Changes made in Adyen propagate to the connected system and vice versa, in milliseconds. One-way flows are also supported when a direction should stay read-only.

How long does an Adyen integration take to set up?

Most Adyen integrations go live in minutes: authenticate Adyen and the other system, pick objects and fields, and enable the sync. No code and no infrastructure to manage.

Is Adyen data secure in transit?

Stacksync is SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001, GDPR and HIPAA compliant. Adyen data is encrypted in transit, and a zero-persistent-storage architecture means records are not retained after a sync operation.
