Two-way sync
Changes in Adyen or Paylocity instantly reflect in both systems. No stale data, no manual imports.
Keep Adyen and Paylocity in sync without custom scripts. Cut weeks of integration work, eliminate silent data drift, and give your team a single, reliable source of truth.
Adyen runs the money side of the company: who gets paid, what it costs, and which part of the business the cost belongs to. Paylocity runs the people side: who works here, which team they sit in, and how their employment changes over time. The two overlap on the same people and the same org structure, because every employee is also a payee and every department is also a cost center. When that overlap is maintained by hand, a new hire, a transfer, or a termination has to be keyed twice, and the two systems start to disagree about who is active and where the cost lands.
Stacksync syncs Modifications (Captures, Refunds, Cancels), Payment Links, Merchant Accounts, Stores in Adyen with Earnings (Pay Setup), Local and State Taxes, Direct Deposit, Pay Statements in Paylocity bi-directionally and in real time. A person added, updated, or deactivated on either side appears on the other within seconds, with field-level mapping and conflict resolution in place of CSV exports and nightly batch jobs.
That matters most when money follows a people event. A hire that finance can pay, a leaver whose access ends, a transfer that redirects cost to the right team, all happen from one change instead of two, so headcount and spend reconcile from the same set of records.
A person's name, ID, or contact details corrected in either system update the other, so finance and HR reference the same person instead of maintaining two versions.
The org structure maintained in Paylocity keeps the departments or cost centers in Adyen current, so spend and headcount roll up the same way.
A role, department, or employment-status change in either system updates the other within seconds, so cost allocation, access, and reporting reflect the current state.
Representative objects on each side — any object or custom field can map to any target. Schemas are auto-detected; types are converted between the two systems.
| Adyen objects | Paylocity objects | How this pairing syncs | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Payments Checkout API payment requests and results (/payments); created to authorize a card, wallet, or local payment, and retrieved by pspReference. Final state arrives asynchronously via the AUTHORISATION webhook. | Pay Statements Read-only detailed payroll statement data — earnings, deductions, taxes, and direct deposit allocations by year, check date, or date range. Pulled for reporting, never written. | Payments is specific to Adyen and Pay Statements to Paylocity — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Modifications (Captures, Refunds, Cancels) Actions on an authorized payment via /payments/{pspReference}/captures, /refunds, and /cancels; written to settle, return, or void funds, with results confirmed by CAPTURE and REFUND webhooks. | Company Codes Read-only reference codes and descriptions (cost centers, departments, positions) used to validate field mappings on employee writes. | Modifications (Captures, Refunds, Cancels) is specific to Adyen and Company Codes to Paylocity — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Payment Links Hosted payment link objects created through /paymentLinks; created, retrieved, and expired, with paid or expired status reported back through webhooks for accounts-receivable sync. | Custom Fields Read-only company-specific custom fields returned by category, used to enrich the employee record downstream. | Payment Links is specific to Adyen and Custom Fields to Paylocity — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Merchant Accounts Company and merchant account entities in the Management API; read and updated to keep account configuration, payment-method settings, and capabilities aligned with internal systems. | Employees Core HR record keyed by companyId + employeeId; two-way via Create New Employee (POST) and Update Employee (PATCH), plus Get Employee / Get All Employees for reads. | Merchant Accounts is specific to Adyen and Employees to Paylocity — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Stores Physical and online store entities under a merchant account (Management API); full CRUD, so new locations and their payment-method configuration can be provisioned from an internal admin source. | Onboarding Create Employee Onboarding pushes new-hire data into Paylocity's onboarding workflow; Get Onboarding Status reads back partner onboarding progress. Write-in for hires from an ATS. | Stores is specific to Adyen and Onboarding to Paylocity — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Users and API Credentials Customer Area users and API-credential objects managed via the Management API; created, updated, and deprovisioned to keep Adyen access aligned with an IdP or HR source. | Deductions (Pay Setup) Recurring deduction codes at the employee level; two-way via Upsert Deduction and Delete, with Get Deduction / Get All Deductions for reads. | Users and API Credentials is specific to Adyen and Deductions (Pay Setup) to Paylocity — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. |
Each direction of the sync is driven by what the source system can signal and what the destination accepts — detection, delivery, and expected latency below.
DetectionAdyen notifies Stacksync of record changes through webhook events. Standard webhooks for payment events (AUTHORISATION, CAPTURE, REFUND, CHARGEBACK, and more) plus Management, Balance Platform, and report webhooks.
DeliveryEach detected change is written to Paylocity through its API, with automatic retries and rate-limit backoff.
DetectionPaylocity notifies Stacksync of record changes through webhook events. Webhooks — Paylocity POSTs Employee New Hire, Employee Change, Termination, Payroll Processed, and Time Off Approval events to a callback URL.

Pick the Adyen and Paylocity objects to sync — Stacksync auto-detects both schemas, including custom fields where the platform exposes them. Sync to existing tables, or let Stacksync create new ones with ideal data types.
Fields map automatically even when names and types differ. Stacksync handles transformation and type casting for you, zero configuration required.
Yes. Stacksync provides a managed, real-time two-way integration between Adyen and Paylocity: authenticate both systems, choose the objects to sync (such as Adyen's Payments and Modifications (Captures, Refunds, Cancels)), map fields visually, and changes propagate both ways in milliseconds — no code required.
Adyen: Standard webhooks are HMAC-signed with a per-webhook key that must be verified, and Adyen expects a 2xx acknowledgment within about 10 seconds (classic standard notifications acknowledge with an [accepted] response body). Paylocity: Every endpoint path is scoped to a Paylocity-assigned companyId (a company code, not a UUID), and employees are addressed by Paylocity's employeeId; there is no cross-company query. Stacksync's field mapping accounts for these differences between Adyen and Paylocity without custom code.
Stacksync is SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 certified with HIPAA BAA support. Data is encrypted in transit, and a zero-persistent-storage architecture means Adyen and Paylocity records are not retained after a sync operation.
Stacksync pricing is usage-based and starts at $1,000/month, including the managed Adyen and Paylocity connectors, real-time two-way sync, monitoring, and support. That replaces building and maintaining a custom Adyen–Paylocity integration in-house.
Yes — Stacksync ships production-grade connectors for both Adyen and Paylocity. The connectors handle authentication, schema detection, rate limits, and retries; you configure the sync, and Stacksync operates it.
Change detection on Adyen: Standard webhooks for payment events (AUTHORISATION, CAPTURE, REFUND, CHARGEBACK, and more) plus Management, Balance Platform, and report webhooks; all HMAC-signed and acknowledged with a 2xx within about 10 seconds. No database-style CDC; historical transactions come from Settlement Detail Reports. On Paylocity: Webhooks — Paylocity POSTs Employee New Hire, Employee Change, Termination, Payroll Processed, and Time Off Approval events to a callback URL; payloads carry only companyId and employeeId, so the receiver calls the relevant API to fetch changed values. Scheduled polling is used for objects without webhooks. Each detected change propagates to the other side in milliseconds, with field-level conflict resolution and an inspectable event log.
