Two-way sync
Changes in Adyen or Coupa instantly reflect in both systems. No stale data, no manual imports.
Keep Adyen and Coupa in sync without custom scripts. Cut weeks of integration work, eliminate silent data drift, and give your team a single, reliable source of truth.
Two finance systems in one company usually means one of two setups. Either the systems divide the work, with one issuing invoices or serving a business unit while the other holds the books, or one is on its way out and both must stay accurate during the transition. In both cases, the customer, invoice, and payment records the two systems share start to drift the moment updates are keyed twice or moved by hand.
Stacksync syncs Merchant Accounts, Stores, Users and API Credentials, Webhook Configurations in Adyen with Suppliers, Users, Accounts, Contracts in Coupa bi-directionally and in real time. A record created or corrected in either system appears in the other within seconds, with field-level mapping and conflict resolution in place of CSV exports and nightly batch jobs.
That matters most at close. When both systems agree on who was billed, what was paid, and what is outstanding, reconciliation stops being a hunt for which copy of the truth is current.
Where each system serves a different entity or unit, sync the shared records so group-level reporting starts from consistent data.
Invoices and payments recorded on the billing side land in the system of record automatically, so revenue is captured once and correctly.
When one system is replacing the other, keep both live and matching through the cutover, so no transaction falls between the last export and go-live.
Representative objects on each side — any object or custom field can map to any target. Schemas are auto-detected; types are converted between the two systems.
| Adyen objects | Coupa objects | How this pairing syncs | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Stores Physical and online store entities under a merchant account (Management API); full CRUD, so new locations and their payment-method configuration can be provisioned from an internal admin source. | Contracts Supplier contract records with terms and dates; read out for reporting or created from a CLM system. | Stores is specific to Adyen and Contracts to Coupa — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Users and API Credentials Customer Area users and API-credential objects managed via the Management API; created, updated, and deprovisioned to keep Adyen access aligned with an IdP or HR source. | Expense Reports Employee expense reports and their lines; exported to AP or ERP for reimbursement and GL posting. | Users and API Credentials is specific to Adyen and Expense Reports to Coupa — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Webhook Configurations Per-company or per-merchant webhook subscriptions (Management API); created, listed, and updated to control which events Adyen sends and to which endpoint and HMAC key. | Requisitions Employee purchase requests with lines and approval chains; read out to warehouses, or created via the API from upstream intake tools. | Webhook Configurations is specific to Adyen and Requisitions to Coupa — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Settlement Detail Reports Downloadable reports of settled transactions, fees, and payouts per merchant account; read-only, delivered when a report webhook fires, and loaded for finance reconciliation. | Purchase Orders PO headers and lines; synced two-way with ERPs so orders raised in Coupa flow to the ledger and status updates flow back on the /purchase_orders resource. | Settlement Detail Reports is specific to Adyen and Purchase Orders to Coupa — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Payments Checkout API payment requests and results (/payments); created to authorize a card, wallet, or local payment, and retrieved by pspReference. Final state arrives asynchronously via the AUTHORISATION webhook. | Invoices Supplier/AP invoices with lines and approval status; polled out to accounting and ERP systems for the pay cycle, or created through the API. | Payments is specific to Adyen and Invoices to Coupa — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Modifications (Captures, Refunds, Cancels) Actions on an authorized payment via /payments/{pspReference}/captures, /refunds, and /cancels; written to settle, return, or void funds, with results confirmed by CAPTURE and REFUND webhooks. | Suppliers Supplier master records; kept aligned with an ERP vendor master and onboarding tools, synced two-way on the /suppliers resource. | Modifications (Captures, Refunds, Cancels) is specific to Adyen and Suppliers to Coupa — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. |
Each direction of the sync is driven by what the source system can signal and what the destination accepts — detection, delivery, and expected latency below.
DetectionAdyen notifies Stacksync of record changes through webhook events. Standard webhooks for payment events (AUTHORISATION, CAPTURE, REFUND, CHARGEBACK, and more) plus Management, Balance Platform, and report webhooks.

Pick the Adyen and Coupa objects to sync — Stacksync auto-detects both schemas, including custom fields where the platform exposes them. Sync to existing tables, or let Stacksync create new ones with ideal data types.
Fields map automatically even when names and types differ. Stacksync handles transformation and type casting for you, zero configuration required.
Yes. Stacksync provides a managed, real-time two-way integration between Adyen and Coupa: authenticate both systems, choose the objects to sync (such as Adyen's Stores and Users and API Credentials), map fields visually, and changes propagate both ways in milliseconds — no code required.
Yes. Each object mapping can be bidirectional or restricted to a single direction (both systems accept writes). Read-only mirrors, one-way pushes, and full two-way sync can be mixed in the same integration.
Common patterns for Adyen and Coupa: Entity or business-unit roll-up; Where Adyen issues invoices and Coupa holds the books; Parallel run during a migration. Where each system serves a different entity or unit, sync the shared records so group-level reporting starts from consistent data.
Adyen: REST APIs on adyen.com - Checkout (/checkout/v71), Management (/v3), Balance Platform / Configuration, Transfers, Payouts, and Reports, with standard webhooks for events. Authentication: API key in the X-API-Key header per web service or Balance Platform user (primary for Checkout, Management, and Balance Platform); Basic auth for classic web-service users; OAuth 2.0 for partner integrations; client keys are client-side only. Coupa: REST Core API (JSON or XML). Authentication: OAuth 2.0 / OIDC via the client-credentials grant; scopes take the service.object.right form (e.g. core.accounting.read, core.accounting.write). Legacy API keys are being retired (no new keys since R34; API-key auth unsupported from R36). Access tokens last 24 hours. Stacksync manages authentication, retries, and rate limits on both sides.
Adyen: Payment outcomes are asynchronous: a /payments call returns an authorization result, but final states such as captured, refunded, and charged back arrive later as standard webhooks keyed by pspReference and merchantReference. Coupa: The Core API returns 50 records per page, so large object pulls must paginate with offset/limit, which makes full backfills slow. Stacksync's field mapping accounts for these differences between Adyen and Coupa without custom code.
