Two-way sync
Changes in Marketo or Redis Enterprise instantly reflect in both systems. No stale data, no manual imports.
Keep Marketo and Redis Enterprise in sync without custom scripts. Cut weeks of integration work, eliminate silent data drift, and give your team a single, reliable source of truth.
Marketo holds the people, audiences, and campaign activity that marketing runs on, but that data sits behind interfaces built for marketers, not for your internal systems. Engineers and analysts who need contacts, list membership, or engagement, for reporting, attribution, or product logic, end up writing integration code against a rate-limited API and maintaining it forever. Meanwhile the customer and usage data marketers want for targeting already lives in Redis Enterprise, hard to get into campaigns without manual exports.
Stacksync mirrors Static Lists, Programs and Program Members, Smart Campaigns, Leads from Marketo into Hashes, JSON documents, Sets, Sorted Sets in Redis Enterprise field by field, in real time, and in both directions. Marketing records become rows your code can query and join with product and customer data; audiences and attributes computed in Redis Enterprise, from usage, orders, or account status, sync back into Marketo to drive campaigns and ads, with Marketo kept authoritative for engagement. You decide which side owns which fields, and Stacksync resolves conflicts by rules you set.
Segments computed in Redis Enterprise from product usage, orders, or account status sync into Marketo as lists or audiences, so campaigns and ads target the people your data says they should.
Opens, clicks, sends, RSVPs, or ad activity from Marketo land in Redis Enterprise beside the matching customer record, ready for reporting and revenue attribution.
A new lead, form fill, or list change in Marketo arrives as a row change in Redis Enterprise, so scoring, jobs, and notifications run in the tooling your team already uses.
Representative objects on each side — any object or custom field can map to any target. Schemas are auto-detected; types are converted between the two systems.
| Marketo objects | Redis Enterprise objects | How this pairing syncs | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Smart Campaigns Automation flows read via /rest/v1/campaigns.json and run against a set of Leads by requesting a trigger campaign with POST /rest/v1/campaigns/{id}/trigger.json, so downstream logic can push Leads into a Marketo flow. | Sorted Sets Score-ordered collections used for rankings, priority queues, and time-ordered indexes. | Smart Campaigns is specific to Marketo and Sorted Sets to Redis Enterprise — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Leads Core person records (called Leads/People), deduped on email address by default or a configured dedupe field; read via GET /rest/v1/leads.json with a filterType, upserted via POST /rest/v1/leads.json (action createOrUpdate/createOnly/updateOnly), bulk-imported via CSV through POST /bulk/v1/leads.json, and bulk-exported via /bulk/v1/leads/export/create.json. | Lists Ordered sequences often used as lightweight queues fed by sync events. | Leads is specific to Marketo and Lists to Redis Enterprise — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Companies Company records linked to Leads via a company link field; read and upserted through /rest/v1/companies.json, typically mastered in a CRM or ERP and written into Marketo for account context. | Streams Append-only logs with consumer groups, used to fan sync events out to downstream services. | Companies is specific to Marketo and Streams to Redis Enterprise — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Opportunities and Opportunity Roles Revenue objects synced via /rest/v1/opportunities.json and /rest/v1/opportunities/roles.json; roles associate an opportunity with a Lead, so pipeline data can drive nurture and scoring. | Pub/Sub channels Fire-and-forget messaging used to notify applications when synced keys change. | Opportunities and Opportunity Roles is specific to Marketo and Pub/Sub channels to Redis Enterprise — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Custom Objects Auxiliary data tables described via /rest/v1/customobjects.json and read/written via /rest/v1/customobjects/{apiName}.json, linked to Leads by a dedupe/link field so campaigns branch on records like purchases or subscriptions. | Search indexes Secondary indexes (RediSearch) that make synced hashes and JSON documents queryable. | Custom Objects is specific to Marketo and Search indexes to Redis Enterprise — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Activities and Lead Changes Engagement feed (opens, clicks, form fills, Data Value Changes) read via GET /rest/v1/activities.json using a paging token from /rest/v1/activities/pagingtoken.json (sinceDatetime), plus Get Lead Changes and Get Deleted Leads; read-only, also available via async Bulk Activity Extract. | Keys (Strings) Simple key-value pairs used to cache individual synced records or lookup values. | Activities and Lead Changes is specific to Marketo and Keys (Strings) to Redis Enterprise — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. |
Each direction of the sync is driven by what the source system can signal and what the destination accepts — detection, delivery, and expected latency below.
DetectionStacksync polls Marketo for changes on an incremental schedule, reading only records changed since the previous pass. Polling: Get Lead Changes and Get Lead Activities from a paging token seeded by a sinceDatetime, plus Get Deleted Leads, or Bulk Extract filtered on.
DeliveryEach detected change is applied to Redis Enterprise as a row-level write, with types converted between the two schemas.
DetectionStacksync polls Redis Enterprise for changes on an incremental schedule, reading only records changed since the previous pass. Keyspace notifications over pub/sub or reads from Redis Streams.
DeliveryEach detected change is written to Marketo through its API, with automatic retries and rate-limit backoff.

Pick the Marketo and Redis Enterprise objects to sync — Stacksync auto-detects both schemas, including custom fields where the platform exposes them. Sync to existing tables, or let Stacksync create new ones with ideal data types.
Fields map automatically even when names and types differ. Stacksync handles transformation and type casting for you, zero configuration required.
Yes. Stacksync provides a managed, real-time two-way integration between Marketo and Redis Enterprise: authenticate both systems, choose the objects to sync (such as Marketo's Smart Campaigns and Leads), map fields visually, and changes propagate both ways in milliseconds — no code required.
On the Redis Enterprise side: Hashes, JSON documents, Sets, Sorted Sets, plus custom fields where Redis Enterprise exposes them. On the Marketo side: Static Lists, Programs and Program Members, Smart Campaigns, Leads. Stacksync auto-detects both schemas and converts types between the two systems.
Yes. Each object mapping can be bidirectional or restricted to a single direction (both systems accept writes). Read-only mirrors, one-way pushes, and full two-way sync can be mixed in the same integration.
Common patterns for Marketo and Redis Enterprise: Build audiences from your own data; Engagement and results next to the customer; React to marketing changes as row changes. Segments computed in Redis Enterprise from product usage, orders, or account status sync into Marketo as lists or audiences, so campaigns and ads target the people your data says they should.
Marketo: Marketo REST API (JSON over HTTPS) for Leads, Companies, Opportunities, Custom Objects, Activities, Lists, Programs, and Campaigns, plus an asynchronous Bulk Import (leads) and Bulk Extract (leads/activities/program members/custom objects) API and an Asset REST API for emails, forms, and landing pages. Authentication: OAuth 2.0 client_credentials (2-legged): GET the Identity URL /oauth/token?grant_type=client_credentials with a Custom Service client_id and client_secret to receive an access token valid for 3600 seconds, then send it as Authorization: Bearer on each call. The instance base URL is https://{munchkinId}.mktorest.com; passing the token as an access_token query parameter is deprecated (removal July 31, 2026). Redis Enterprise: Redis wire protocol (RESP) via client libraries; separate REST API for cluster management. Authentication: Password or ACL-based credentials, typically over TLS. Stacksync manages authentication, retries, and rate limits on both sides.
Redis Enterprise: Data structures are typed server-side (hashes, sets, sorted sets, streams), so sync mappings target a structure and key convention rather than tables and columns. Marketo: Leads deduplicate on email address by default (or a configured dedupe field / Marketo id), and POST /rest/v1/leads.json with action createOrUpdate upserts against that key, so records without a match key create duplicates. Stacksync's field mapping accounts for these differences between Marketo and Redis Enterprise without custom code.
