Kommo: REST API. Authentication: OAuth 2.0 with refresh tokens. Quip: REST (v1 Automation API). Authentication: OAuth 2.0 bearer tokens (RFC 6749/6750) or a Personal Access Token; domain admins can pre-approve apps for domain-wide authentication. Stacksync manages authentication, retries, and rate limits on both sides.
Quip: The Automation API is rate limited to roughly 50 requests per minute per access token and returns HTTP 503 when exceeded, which constrains large backfills. Kommo: The API uses OAuth 2.0 with short-lived access tokens refreshed via refresh tokens, and supports webhooks on record lifecycle events. Stacksync's field mapping accounts for these differences between Kommo and Quip without custom code.
