Two-way sync
Changes in Marketo or Ramp instantly reflect in both systems. No stale data, no manual imports.
Keep Marketo and Ramp in sync without custom scripts. Cut weeks of integration work, eliminate silent data drift, and give your team a single, reliable source of truth.
Ramp records the money — who pays, how much, and whether they are current; Marketo decides who hears from the business and what they hear. The two overlap wherever the same customers and contacts matter to both, and when that overlap is bridged by CSV exports or an overnight batch, campaigns target on stale billing data and finance works from lists marketing has already changed underneath it.
Stacksync syncs Departments, Reimbursements, Bills, Vendors in Ramp with Opportunities and Opportunity Roles, Custom Objects, Activities and Lead Changes, Static Lists in Marketo field by field, in real time, and in both directions. You decide which system owns which fields — finance keeps the revenue and payment truth, marketing keeps consent and engagement — and Stacksync keeps every copy consistent and resolves conflicts by rules you set.
Plan tier, spend, or payment status from Ramp lands on the matching record in Marketo, so segments and targeting reflect who actually pays and how much.
Where both systems keep customer or contact records, an edit on either side propagates to the other, ending dual maintenance and the drift it creates.
Registrants, form fills, or leads created in Marketo create or update the matching customer or contact in Ramp, so billing and reporting start from accurate details without re-entry.
Representative objects on each side — any object or custom field can map to any target. Schemas are auto-detected; types are converted between the two systems.
| Marketo objects | Ramp objects | How this pairing syncs | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Programs and Program Members Marketing programs read via /rest/v1/programs.json; program membership and member status managed via /rest/v1/leads/programs/{programId}.json and the program status endpoint for acquisition and attribution reporting. | Transactions Card purchase records with merchant, amount, and state; read for spend/GL sync and written back via accounting codings and sync status. | Programs and Program Members is specific to Marketo and Transactions to Ramp — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Smart Campaigns Automation flows read via /rest/v1/campaigns.json and run against a set of Leads by requesting a trigger campaign with POST /rest/v1/campaigns/{id}/trigger.json, so downstream logic can push Leads into a Marketo flow. | Cards Physical and virtual card records; created and managed through the API to provision or suspend cardholder spend. | Smart Campaigns is specific to Marketo and Cards to Ramp — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Leads Core person records (called Leads/People), deduped on email address by default or a configured dedupe field; read via GET /rest/v1/leads.json with a filterType, upserted via POST /rest/v1/leads.json (action createOrUpdate/createOnly/updateOnly), bulk-imported via CSV through POST /bulk/v1/leads.json, and bulk-exported via /bulk/v1/leads/export/create.json. | Users Employee and cardholder records; invited, updated, and deactivated, commonly synced from an HRIS or identity provider. | Leads is specific to Marketo and Users to Ramp — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Companies Company records linked to Leads via a company link field; read and upserted through /rest/v1/companies.json, typically mastered in a CRM or ERP and written into Marketo for account context. | Departments Org groupings for cost-center and GL allocation; pushed from an ERP/HRIS and referenced by cards and transactions. | Companies is specific to Marketo and Departments to Ramp — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Opportunities and Opportunity Roles Revenue objects synced via /rest/v1/opportunities.json and /rest/v1/opportunities/roles.json; roles associate an opportunity with a Lead, so pipeline data can drive nurture and scoring. | Reimbursements Out-of-pocket expense claims; read for reporting and marked ready-to-sync then synced to the ERP. | Opportunities and Opportunity Roles is specific to Marketo and Reimbursements to Ramp — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Custom Objects Auxiliary data tables described via /rest/v1/customobjects.json and read/written via /rest/v1/customobjects/{apiName}.json, linked to Leads by a dedupe/link field so campaigns branch on records like purchases or subscriptions. | Bills Accounts-payable bills; created, updated, approved, and paid, then posted ready-to-sync and synced to accounting. | Custom Objects is specific to Marketo and Bills to Ramp — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. |
Each direction of the sync is driven by what the source system can signal and what the destination accepts — detection, delivery, and expected latency below.
DetectionStacksync polls Marketo for changes on an incremental schedule, reading only records changed since the previous pass. Polling: Get Lead Changes and Get Lead Activities from a paging token seeded by a sinceDatetime, plus Get Deleted Leads, or Bulk Extract filtered on.
DeliveryEach detected change is written to Ramp through its API, with automatic retries and rate-limit backoff.
DetectionRamp notifies Stacksync of record changes through webhook events. Signed webhooks (HMAC-SHA256 X-Ramp-Signature) for bill, transaction, reimbursement, vendor, and user events.
DeliveryEach detected change is written to Marketo through its API, with automatic retries and rate-limit backoff.
Real-time sync, workflow automation, event queues, EDI, and monitoring, for every Marketo–Ramp connection.
Changes in Marketo or Ramp instantly reflect in both systems. No stale data, no manual imports.
Trigger automated workflows whenever Marketo or Ramp data changes, update records, fire webhooks, or kick off sequences without brittle API scripts.

Transform legacy EDI complexity into simple database interactions between Marketo and Ramp.
Configure and sync within minutes, no code. Whether you sync 50k or 100M+ records, Stacksync handles the queues, infra, and plumbing. Integrations are non-invasive and need zero setup on your systems.
Authenticate Marketo and Ramp with each platform's native method — OAuth, API keys, or service accounts — plus secure options like SSH tunneling, IP whitelisting, and VPC peering.
Pick the Marketo and Ramp objects to sync — Stacksync auto-detects both schemas, including custom fields where the platform exposes them. Sync to existing tables, or let Stacksync create new ones with ideal data types.
Fields map automatically even when names and types differ. Stacksync handles transformation and type casting for you, zero configuration required.
Yes. Stacksync provides a managed, real-time two-way integration between Marketo and Ramp: authenticate both systems, choose the objects to sync (such as Marketo's Programs and Program Members and Smart Campaigns), map fields visually, and changes propagate both ways in milliseconds — no code required.
Ramp: Rate limited to 200 requests per 10-second rolling window per source IP; a 429 is returned on exceed (higher limits available on request), so historical backfills must be paced with keyset pagination. Marketo: Leads deduplicate on email address by default (or a configured dedupe field / Marketo id), and POST /rest/v1/leads.json with action createOrUpdate upserts against that key, so records without a match key create duplicates. Stacksync's field mapping accounts for these differences between Marketo and Ramp without custom code.
Stacksync is SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 certified with HIPAA BAA support. Data is encrypted in transit, and a zero-persistent-storage architecture means Marketo and Ramp records are not retained after a sync operation.
Stacksync pricing is usage-based and starts at $1,000/month, including the managed Marketo and Ramp connectors, real-time two-way sync, monitoring, and support. That replaces building and maintaining a custom Marketo–Ramp integration in-house.
Yes — Stacksync ships production-grade connectors for both Marketo and Ramp. The connectors handle authentication, schema detection, rate limits, and retries; you configure the sync, and Stacksync operates it.
Change detection on Marketo: Polling: Get Lead Changes and Get Lead Activities from a paging token seeded by a sinceDatetime, plus Get Deleted Leads, or Bulk Extract filtered on createdAt/updatedAt. Marketo's Webhooks are Smart Campaign flow-step outbound HTTP calls to a URL, not a general record-change subscription, so there is no push feed of arbitrary CRUD. On Ramp: Signed webhooks (HMAC-SHA256 X-Ramp-Signature) for bill, transaction, reimbursement, vendor, and user events; otherwise poll incrementally (synced_after on transactions, from_created_at on bills) with keyset pagination, or read the audit-logs/events feed. Each detected change propagates to the other side in milliseconds, with field-level conflict resolution and an inspectable event log.
