Two-way sync
Changes in Cvent or Odoo instantly reflect in both systems. No stale data, no manual imports.
Keep Cvent and Odoo in sync without custom scripts. Cut weeks of integration work, eliminate silent data drift, and give your team a single, reliable source of truth.
Marketing runs on lists of people, but the list rarely knows which of those people are paying customers, what they ordered, or what they are worth. Odoo holds exactly that: CRM Leads (crm.lead), Purchase Orders (purchase.order), Inventory Transfers (stock.picking), Employees (hr.employee) that record who the customer is, what they bought, and what they owe. When the two are joined only by a periodic export, campaigns go out against stale audiences, existing customers get prospecting emails, high-value accounts look the same as cold leads, and a canceled order still counts toward a segment.
Stacksync syncs CRM Leads (crm.lead), Purchase Orders (purchase.order), Inventory Transfers (stock.picking), Employees (hr.employee) in Odoo with Events, Contacts, Attendees and Registrations, Sessions in Cvent in real time, and where both sides accept writes, in both directions. Customer, order, and invoice data maps field by field onto the contacts, audiences, or accounts Cvent works with, so segmentation and personalization run on current purchase history instead of a month-old snapshot. Contact details and consent changes that originate in Cvent flow back onto the record in Odoo.
The strongest bridge between the two is identity and purchase history, who the customer is and what they have bought, so that is where most of the value sits. Because the sync is field-level, each system keeps the attributes the other has no use for; only the shared records are held in agreement.
Registrations, form fills, or new subscribers in Cvent create or update the corresponding record in Odoo, so the back office sees them without anyone re-keying.
Email, address, or subscription-status changes stay aligned across both systems, so a customer who updates their details or opts out is respected everywhere.
Orders, invoices, and revenue totals from Odoo land on the matching contact or account in Cvent, so audiences are built from what customers actually bought and spent rather than from guesses.
Representative objects on each side — any object or custom field can map to any target. Schemas are auto-detected; types are converted between the two systems.
| Cvent objects | Odoo objects | How this pairing syncs | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Surveys Survey definitions and responses; read out to a warehouse for post-event feedback analysis alongside attendance data. | Sales Orders (sale.order) Quotations and confirmed orders synced with e-commerce and external CRMs. | Surveys is specific to Cvent and Sales Orders (sale.order) to Odoo — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Budgets Event budget line items; read into a finance database or ERP to reconcile planned versus actual event spend. | Invoices (account.move) Customer invoices and journal entries synced with accounting and reporting tools. | Budgets is specific to Cvent and Invoices (account.move) to Odoo — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Events Top-level event containers created and updated through the Events endpoints; read out for reporting and written to provision events from an external system. | Products (product.template / product.product) Catalog and variant data distributed to storefronts and quoting tools. | Events is specific to Cvent and Products (product.template / product.product) to Odoo — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Contacts Account-wide people database spanning every event; synced two-way with a CRM or warehouse as the shared audience source of truth via the Create Contacts endpoint. | CRM Leads (crm.lead) Leads and opportunities synced with marketing and enrichment systems. | Contacts is specific to Cvent and CRM Leads (crm.lead) to Odoo — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Attendees and Registrations Per-event registrants; written in from CRM or marketing signup flows via POST /ea/attendees and read back out to a warehouse for attendance and registration-status reporting. | Purchase Orders (purchase.order) Procurement documents shared with supplier-facing systems. | Attendees and Registrations is specific to Cvent and Purchase Orders (purchase.order) to Odoo — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Sessions Agenda items within an event; listed or created through the API and synced so session-level attendance feeds reporting tables. | Inventory Transfers (stock.picking) Delivery and receipt operations synced for fulfillment visibility. | Sessions is specific to Cvent and Inventory Transfers (stock.picking) to Odoo — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. |
Each direction of the sync is driven by what the source system can signal and what the destination accepts — detection, delivery, and expected latency below.
DetectionCvent notifies Stacksync of record changes through webhook events. Per-event webhooks push attendee, registration, session, and speaker changes.
DeliveryEach detected change is written to Odoo through its API, with automatic retries and rate-limit backoff.
DetectionOdoo notifies Stacksync of record changes through webhook events. Polling on the write_date timestamp every record carries.

Pick the Cvent and Odoo objects to sync — Stacksync auto-detects both schemas, including custom fields where the platform exposes them. Sync to existing tables, or let Stacksync create new ones with ideal data types.
Fields map automatically even when names and types differ. Stacksync handles transformation and type casting for you, zero configuration required.
Yes. Stacksync provides a managed, real-time two-way integration between Cvent and Odoo: authenticate both systems, choose the objects to sync (such as Cvent's Surveys and Budgets), map fields visually, and changes propagate both ways in milliseconds — no code required.
Cvent: Cvent REST API (JSON over HTTPS at api-platform.cvent.com/ea, paginated list endpoints). Authentication: OAuth 2.0 client-credentials flow: a client ID and secret are Basic-auth exchanged for a 60-minute bearer token at api-platform.cvent.com/ea/oauth2/token; legacy API-key and SOAP/CSN auth are deprecated. Odoo: XML-RPC and JSON-RPC external API exposing the full ORM (search_read, create, write, unlink). Authentication: Database user credentials or per-user API keys. Stacksync manages authentication, retries, and rate limits on both sides.
Odoo: Hosting mode matters: self-hosted and Odoo.sh instances allow deeper access than Odoo Online, which restricts custom server code. Cvent: The current unified REST API supersedes the legacy SOAP-based Cvent API and CSN API; API-key authentication is deprecated in favor of OAuth 2.0. Stacksync's field mapping accounts for these differences between Cvent and Odoo without custom code.
Stacksync is SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 certified with HIPAA BAA support. Data is encrypted in transit, and a zero-persistent-storage architecture means Cvent and Odoo records are not retained after a sync operation.
Stacksync pricing is usage-based and starts at $1,000/month, including the managed Cvent and Odoo connectors, real-time two-way sync, monitoring, and support. That replaces building and maintaining a custom Cvent–Odoo integration in-house.
Yes — Stacksync ships production-grade connectors for both Cvent and Odoo. The connectors handle authentication, schema detection, rate limits, and retries; you configure the sync, and Stacksync operates it.
