Two-way sync
Changes in Marketo or Odoo instantly reflect in both systems. No stale data, no manual imports.
Keep Marketo and Odoo in sync without custom scripts. Cut weeks of integration work, eliminate silent data drift, and give your team a single, reliable source of truth.
Marketing runs on lists of people, but the list rarely knows which of those people are paying customers, what they ordered, or what they are worth. Odoo holds exactly that: Purchase Orders (purchase.order), Inventory Transfers (stock.picking), Employees (hr.employee), Projects and Tasks (project.project / project.task) that record who the customer is, what they bought, and what they owe. When the two are joined only by a periodic export, campaigns go out against stale audiences, existing customers get prospecting emails, high-value accounts look the same as cold leads, and a canceled order still counts toward a segment.
Stacksync syncs Purchase Orders (purchase.order), Inventory Transfers (stock.picking), Employees (hr.employee), Projects and Tasks (project.project / project.task) in Odoo with Programs and Program Members, Smart Campaigns, Leads, Companies in Marketo in real time, and where both sides accept writes, in both directions. Customer, order, and invoice data maps field by field onto the contacts, audiences, or accounts Marketo works with, so segmentation and personalization run on current purchase history instead of a month-old snapshot. Contact details and consent changes that originate in Marketo flow back onto the record in Odoo.
The strongest bridge between the two is identity and purchase history, who the customer is and what they have bought, so that is where most of the value sits. Because the sync is field-level, each system keeps the attributes the other has no use for; only the shared records are held in agreement.
Email, address, or subscription-status changes stay aligned across both systems, so a customer who updates their details or opts out is respected everywhere.
Orders, invoices, and revenue totals from Odoo land on the matching contact or account in Marketo, so audiences are built from what customers actually bought and spent rather than from guesses.
Because Odoo knows who is already a paying customer, Marketo can exclude them from acquisition campaigns or single them out for renewal and cross-sell.
Representative objects on each side — any object or custom field can map to any target. Schemas are auto-detected; types are converted between the two systems.
| Marketo objects | Odoo objects | How this pairing syncs | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Static Lists Named static lists; read via /rest/v1/lists.json, with Leads added or removed via POST and DELETE on /rest/v1/lists/{listId}/leads.json to control campaign membership from lifecycle logic computed downstream. | Purchase Orders (purchase.order) Procurement documents shared with supplier-facing systems. | Static Lists is specific to Marketo and Purchase Orders (purchase.order) to Odoo — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Programs and Program Members Marketing programs read via /rest/v1/programs.json; program membership and member status managed via /rest/v1/leads/programs/{programId}.json and the program status endpoint for acquisition and attribution reporting. | Inventory Transfers (stock.picking) Delivery and receipt operations synced for fulfillment visibility. | Programs and Program Members is specific to Marketo and Inventory Transfers (stock.picking) to Odoo — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Smart Campaigns Automation flows read via /rest/v1/campaigns.json and run against a set of Leads by requesting a trigger campaign with POST /rest/v1/campaigns/{id}/trigger.json, so downstream logic can push Leads into a Marketo flow. | Employees (hr.employee) HR records read for directory and provisioning syncs. | Smart Campaigns is specific to Marketo and Employees (hr.employee) to Odoo — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Leads Core person records (called Leads/People), deduped on email address by default or a configured dedupe field; read via GET /rest/v1/leads.json with a filterType, upserted via POST /rest/v1/leads.json (action createOrUpdate/createOnly/updateOnly), bulk-imported via CSV through POST /bulk/v1/leads.json, and bulk-exported via /bulk/v1/leads/export/create.json. | Projects and Tasks (project.project / project.task) Work items synced with external project tools. | Leads is specific to Marketo and Projects and Tasks (project.project / project.task) to Odoo — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Companies Company records linked to Leads via a company link field; read and upserted through /rest/v1/companies.json, typically mastered in a CRM or ERP and written into Marketo for account context. | Contacts (res.partner) The unified person/company record used across sales, invoicing, and purchasing; the anchor for CRM syncs. | Companies is specific to Marketo and Contacts (res.partner) to Odoo — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Opportunities and Opportunity Roles Revenue objects synced via /rest/v1/opportunities.json and /rest/v1/opportunities/roles.json; roles associate an opportunity with a Lead, so pipeline data can drive nurture and scoring. | Sales Orders (sale.order) Quotations and confirmed orders synced with e-commerce and external CRMs. | Opportunities and Opportunity Roles is specific to Marketo and Sales Orders (sale.order) to Odoo — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. |
Each direction of the sync is driven by what the source system can signal and what the destination accepts — detection, delivery, and expected latency below.
DetectionStacksync polls Marketo for changes on an incremental schedule, reading only records changed since the previous pass. Polling: Get Lead Changes and Get Lead Activities from a paging token seeded by a sinceDatetime, plus Get Deleted Leads, or Bulk Extract filtered on.
DeliveryEach detected change is written to Odoo through its API, with automatic retries and rate-limit backoff.
DetectionOdoo notifies Stacksync of record changes through webhook events. Polling on the write_date timestamp every record carries.

Fields map automatically even when names and types differ. Stacksync handles transformation and type casting for you, zero configuration required.
Yes. Stacksync provides a managed, real-time two-way integration between Marketo and Odoo: authenticate both systems, choose the objects to sync (such as Marketo's Static Lists and Programs and Program Members), map fields visually, and changes propagate both ways in milliseconds — no code required.
Yes — Stacksync ships production-grade connectors for both Marketo and Odoo. The connectors handle authentication, schema detection, rate limits, and retries; you configure the sync, and Stacksync operates it.
Change detection on Marketo: Polling: Get Lead Changes and Get Lead Activities from a paging token seeded by a sinceDatetime, plus Get Deleted Leads, or Bulk Extract filtered on createdAt/updatedAt. Marketo's Webhooks are Smart Campaign flow-step outbound HTTP calls to a URL, not a general record-change subscription, so there is no push feed of arbitrary CRUD. On Odoo: Polling on the write_date timestamp every record carries; recent versions can also send outbound webhooks from automation rules. Each detected change propagates to the other side in milliseconds, with field-level conflict resolution and an inspectable event log.
On the Odoo side: Purchase Orders (purchase.order), Inventory Transfers (stock.picking), Employees (hr.employee), Projects and Tasks (project.project / project.task), plus custom fields where Odoo exposes them. On the Marketo side: Programs and Program Members, Smart Campaigns, Leads, Companies. Stacksync auto-detects both schemas and converts types between the two systems.
Yes. Each object mapping can be bidirectional or restricted to a single direction (both systems accept writes). Read-only mirrors, one-way pushes, and full two-way sync can be mixed in the same integration.
Common patterns for Marketo and Odoo: Consent and contact changes travel; Purchase history drives segmentation; Suppress or target existing customers. Email, address, or subscription-status changes stay aligned across both systems, so a customer who updates their details or opts out is respected everywhere.
