Two-way sync
Changes in Chargebee or Ramp instantly reflect in both systems. No stale data, no manual imports.
Keep Chargebee and Ramp in sync without custom scripts. Cut weeks of integration work, eliminate silent data drift, and give your team a single, reliable source of truth.
Two finance systems in one company usually means one of two setups. Either the systems divide the work, with one issuing invoices or serving a business unit while the other holds the books, or one is on its way out and both must stay accurate during the transition. In both cases, the customer, invoice, and payment records the two systems share start to drift the moment updates are keyed twice or moved by hand.
Stacksync syncs Credit notes, Items and item prices, Payment sources, Transactions in Chargebee with Vendors, Funds (Spend Controls), General Ledger Accounts, Transactions in Ramp bi-directionally and in real time. A record created or corrected in either system appears in the other within seconds, with field-level mapping and conflict resolution in place of CSV exports and nightly batch jobs.
That matters most at close. When both systems agree on who was billed, what was paid, and what is outstanding, reconciliation stops being a hunt for which copy of the truth is current.
A payment applied in one system updates the matching invoice in the other, so no one chases a balance that was already settled.
Where each system serves a different entity or unit, sync the shared records so group-level reporting starts from consistent data.
Invoices and payments recorded on the billing side land in the system of record automatically, so revenue is captured once and correctly.
Representative objects on each side — any object or custom field can map to any target. Schemas are auto-detected; types are converted between the two systems.
| Chargebee objects | Ramp objects | How this pairing syncs | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Transactions Payment attempts and outcomes synced for dunning and finance workflows. | Transactions Card purchase records with merchant, amount, and state; read for spend/GL sync and written back via accounting codings and sync status. | Same entity on both sides — records pair one-to-one and field-level changes reconcile in both directions. | |
| Invoices Issued billing documents synced to accounting and revenue reporting. | Users Employee and cardholder records; invited, updated, and deactivated, commonly synced from an HRIS or identity provider. | Invoices is specific to Chargebee and Users to Ramp — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Credit notes Adjustments and refund documents needed for accurate revenue reconciliation. | Departments Org groupings for cost-center and GL allocation; pushed from an ERP/HRIS and referenced by cards and transactions. | Credit notes is specific to Chargebee and Departments to Ramp — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Items and item prices The product catalog (plans, addons, charges) referenced by every subscription. | Reimbursements Out-of-pocket expense claims; read for reporting and marked ready-to-sync then synced to the ERP. | Items and item prices is specific to Chargebee and Reimbursements to Ramp — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Payment sources Stored payment methods; usually read-only metadata in syncs for compliance reasons. | Bills Accounts-payable bills; created, updated, approved, and paid, then posted ready-to-sync and synced to accounting. | Payment sources is specific to Chargebee and Bills to Ramp — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Coupons Discount definitions and redemptions used in deal-desk and reporting syncs. | Vendors Supplier records under the accounting namespace; uploaded and updated for AP matching and payments. | Coupons is specific to Chargebee and Vendors to Ramp — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. |
Each direction of the sync is driven by what the source system can signal and what the destination accepts — detection, delivery, and expected latency below.
DetectionChargebee notifies Stacksync of record changes through webhook events. Webhooks for all major object events, plus a pollable Events resource that records every change.
DeliveryEach detected change is written to Ramp through its API, with automatic retries and rate-limit backoff.
DetectionRamp notifies Stacksync of record changes through webhook events. Signed webhooks (HMAC-SHA256 X-Ramp-Signature) for bill, transaction, reimbursement, vendor, and user events.

Configure and sync within minutes, no code. Whether you sync 50k or 100M+ records, Stacksync handles the queues, infra, and plumbing. Integrations are non-invasive and need zero setup on your systems.
Authenticate Chargebee and Ramp with each platform's native method — OAuth, API keys, or service accounts — plus secure options like SSH tunneling, IP whitelisting, and VPC peering.
Pick the Chargebee and Ramp objects to sync — Stacksync auto-detects both schemas, including custom fields where the platform exposes them. Sync to existing tables, or let Stacksync create new ones with ideal data types.
Fields map automatically even when names and types differ. Stacksync handles transformation and type casting for you, zero configuration required.
Yes. Stacksync provides a managed, real-time two-way integration between Chargebee and Ramp: authenticate both systems, choose the objects to sync (such as Chargebee's Transactions and Invoices), map fields visually, and changes propagate both ways in milliseconds — no code required.
Yes. Each object mapping can be bidirectional or restricted to a single direction (both systems accept writes). Read-only mirrors, one-way pushes, and full two-way sync can be mixed in the same integration.
Common patterns for Chargebee and Ramp: Payment status everywhere; Entity or business-unit roll-up; Where Chargebee issues invoices and Ramp holds the books. A payment applied in one system updates the matching invoice in the other, so no one chases a balance that was already settled.
Chargebee: REST API. Authentication: API key sent via HTTP basic authentication (key as the username), scoped per site with test and live environments. Ramp: REST API (Developer API v1). Authentication: OAuth 2.0: exchange client_id/client_secret (HTTP Basic) at api.ramp.com/developer/v1/token for scoped bearer tokens; client_credentials grant for server-to-server and authorization_code for user-delegated access; scopes follow resource:permission (e.g. transactions:read, bills:write, accounting:write). Stacksync manages authentication, retries, and rate limits on both sides.
Chargebee: Chargebee has two product catalog versions; in the newer model plans, addons, and charges are unified as items with per-currency, per-frequency item prices, and connectors must handle whichever version a site uses. Ramp: Webhook payloads are event notifications (transactions.cleared, bills.paid, reimbursements.ready_to_sync); the full object must be re-fetched for complete detail. Stacksync's field mapping accounts for these differences between Chargebee and Ramp without custom code.
Stacksync is SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 certified with HIPAA BAA support. Data is encrypted in transit, and a zero-persistent-storage architecture means Chargebee and Ramp records are not retained after a sync operation.
