Two-way sync
Changes in Odoo or Smartsheet instantly reflect in both systems. No stale data, no manual imports.
Keep Odoo and Smartsheet in sync without custom scripts. Cut weeks of integration work, eliminate silent data drift, and give your team a single, reliable source of truth.
The ERP holds the records the business is run on, and it is rarely where day-to-day work happens. Smartsheet is closer to the work, and the two often need the same facts about the same people, organizations, and transactions. Bridging them by hand, or by nightly file transfer, leaves each side out of date for hours at a time.
Stacksync syncs Cells, Reports, Attachments, Discussions and Comments in Smartsheet with Contacts (res.partner), Sales Orders (sale.order), Invoices (account.move), Products (product.template / product.product) in Odoo bi-directionally and in real time, with field-level mapping and rules for which system wins on conflict. Changes made where the work happens reach the system of record within seconds, and the reverse.
Order, invoice, or account status from Odoo appears alongside the customer in Smartsheet, so front-line teams answer from live data.
Worker and organization data from Odoo stays current in Smartsheet, so the tools people use daily reflect the org as it actually is.
A customer, supplier, or contact detail corrected in either system updates the other, ending duplicate maintenance.
Representative objects on each side — any object or custom field can map to any target. Schemas are auto-detected; types are converted between the two systems.
| Odoo objects | Smartsheet objects | How this pairing syncs | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Contacts (res.partner) The unified person/company record used across sales, invoicing, and purchasing; the anchor for CRM syncs. | Discussions and Comments Threaded comments on rows and sheets; read out to sync collaboration history or activity into another system. | Contacts (res.partner) is specific to Odoo and Discussions and Comments to Smartsheet — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Sales Orders (sale.order) Quotations and confirmed orders synced with e-commerce and external CRMs. | Users and Groups Account membership and sharing; synced to keep an HR or identity source aligned with sheet and workspace access. | Sales Orders (sale.order) is specific to Odoo and Users and Groups to Smartsheet — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Invoices (account.move) Customer invoices and journal entries synced with accounting and reporting tools. | Sheets The core container; each sheet has typed columns, rows, and a modifiedAt stamp. Stacksync treats a sheet as a table and syncs its rows two-way. | Invoices (account.move) is specific to Odoo and Sheets to Smartsheet — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Products (product.template / product.product) Catalog and variant data distributed to storefronts and quoting tools. | Rows Records inside a sheet, each with createdAt/modifiedAt and cells keyed by columnId; the primary unit synced to and from external tables. | Products (product.template / product.product) is specific to Odoo and Rows to Smartsheet — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| CRM Leads (crm.lead) Leads and opportunities synced with marketing and enrichment systems. | Columns Define sheet schema and cell type (TEXT_NUMBER, DATE, CONTACT_LIST, PICKLIST, CHECKBOX); read via the API so field mappings can be generated. | CRM Leads (crm.lead) is specific to Odoo and Columns to Smartsheet — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Purchase Orders (purchase.order) Procurement documents shared with supplier-facing systems. | Cells Row-by-column values; writes must match the column type and no single cell can exceed 4,000 characters. | Purchase Orders (purchase.order) is specific to Odoo and Cells to Smartsheet — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. |
Each direction of the sync is driven by what the source system can signal and what the destination accepts — detection, delivery, and expected latency below.
DetectionOdoo notifies Stacksync of record changes through webhook events. Polling on the write_date timestamp every record carries.
DeliveryEach detected change is written to Smartsheet through its API, with automatic retries and rate-limit backoff.

Pick the Odoo and Smartsheet objects to sync — Stacksync auto-detects both schemas, including custom fields where the platform exposes them. Sync to existing tables, or let Stacksync create new ones with ideal data types.
Fields map automatically even when names and types differ. Stacksync handles transformation and type casting for you, zero configuration required.
Yes. Stacksync provides a managed, real-time two-way integration between Odoo and Smartsheet: authenticate both systems, choose the objects to sync (such as Odoo's Contacts (res.partner) and Sales Orders (sale.order)), map fields visually, and changes propagate both ways in milliseconds — no code required.
Odoo: XML-RPC and JSON-RPC external API exposing the full ORM (search_read, create, write, unlink). Authentication: Database user credentials or per-user API keys. Smartsheet: REST API (v2.0). Authentication: OAuth 2.0 authorization-code flow, or a raw/personal API access token passed as a Bearer header. Stacksync manages authentication, retries, and rate limits on both sides.
Smartsheet: Cell writes must match the column type (CONTACT_LIST, PICKLIST, DATE, CHECKBOX), so mappings have to respect each column's definition. Odoo: Hosting mode matters: self-hosted and Odoo.sh instances allow deeper access than Odoo Online, which restricts custom server code. Stacksync's field mapping accounts for these differences between Odoo and Smartsheet without custom code.
Stacksync is SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 certified with HIPAA BAA support. Data is encrypted in transit, and a zero-persistent-storage architecture means Odoo and Smartsheet records are not retained after a sync operation.
Stacksync pricing is usage-based and starts at $1,000/month, including the managed Odoo and Smartsheet connectors, real-time two-way sync, monitoring, and support. That replaces building and maintaining a custom Odoo–Smartsheet integration in-house.
Yes — Stacksync ships production-grade connectors for both Odoo and Smartsheet. The connectors handle authentication, schema detection, rate limits, and retries; you configure the sync, and Stacksync operates it.
