Two-way sync
Changes in Marketo or Sage 300 instantly reflect in both systems. No stale data, no manual imports.
Keep Marketo and Sage 300 in sync without custom scripts. Cut weeks of integration work, eliminate silent data drift, and give your team a single, reliable source of truth.
Marketing runs on lists of people, but the list rarely knows which of those people are paying customers, what they ordered, or what they are worth. Sage 300 holds exactly that: Purchase Orders, Inventory Items, AR Invoices and Receipts, AR Customers that record who the customer is, what they bought, and what they owe. When the two are joined only by a periodic export, campaigns go out against stale audiences, existing customers get prospecting emails, high-value accounts look the same as cold leads, and a canceled order still counts toward a segment.
Stacksync syncs Purchase Orders, Inventory Items, AR Invoices and Receipts, AR Customers in Sage 300 with Leads, Companies, Opportunities and Opportunity Roles, Custom Objects in Marketo in real time, and where both sides accept writes, in both directions. Customer, order, and invoice data maps field by field onto the contacts, audiences, or accounts Marketo works with, so segmentation and personalization run on current purchase history instead of a month-old snapshot. Contact details and consent changes that originate in Marketo flow back onto the record in Sage 300.
The strongest bridge between the two is identity and purchase history, who the customer is and what they have bought, so that is where most of the value sits. Because the sync is field-level, each system keeps the attributes the other has no use for; only the shared records are held in agreement.
Registrations, form fills, or new subscribers in Marketo create or update the corresponding record in Sage 300, so the back office sees them without anyone re-keying.
Email, address, or subscription-status changes stay aligned across both systems, so a customer who updates their details or opts out is respected everywhere.
Orders, invoices, and revenue totals from Sage 300 land on the matching contact or account in Marketo, so audiences are built from what customers actually bought and spent rather than from guesses.
Representative objects on each side — any object or custom field can map to any target. Schemas are auto-detected; types are converted between the two systems.
| Marketo objects | Sage 300 objects | How this pairing syncs | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Opportunities and Opportunity Roles Revenue objects synced via /rest/v1/opportunities.json and /rest/v1/opportunities/roles.json; roles associate an opportunity with a Lead, so pipeline data can drive nurture and scoring. | AP Vendors Payables vendor master synced with procurement and payment systems. | Opportunities and Opportunity Roles is specific to Marketo and AP Vendors to Sage 300 — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Custom Objects Auxiliary data tables described via /rest/v1/customobjects.json and read/written via /rest/v1/customobjects/{apiName}.json, linked to Leads by a dedupe/link field so campaigns branch on records like purchases or subscriptions. | GL Accounts Chart of accounts read for transaction mapping across integrations. | Custom Objects is specific to Marketo and GL Accounts to Sage 300 — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Activities and Lead Changes Engagement feed (opens, clicks, form fills, Data Value Changes) read via GET /rest/v1/activities.json using a paging token from /rest/v1/activities/pagingtoken.json (sinceDatetime), plus Get Lead Changes and Get Deleted Leads; read-only, also available via async Bulk Activity Extract. | Journal Batches GL entries staged in batches that must be posted; a common write target for external systems. | Activities and Lead Changes is specific to Marketo and Journal Batches to Sage 300 — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Static Lists Named static lists; read via /rest/v1/lists.json, with Leads added or removed via POST and DELETE on /rest/v1/lists/{listId}/leads.json to control campaign membership from lifecycle logic computed downstream. | Order Entry Orders Sales orders written from e-commerce or EDI feeds. | Static Lists is specific to Marketo and Order Entry Orders to Sage 300 — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Programs and Program Members Marketing programs read via /rest/v1/programs.json; program membership and member status managed via /rest/v1/leads/programs/{programId}.json and the program status endpoint for acquisition and attribution reporting. | Purchase Orders Procurement documents read for spend visibility and receiving. | Programs and Program Members is specific to Marketo and Purchase Orders to Sage 300 — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Smart Campaigns Automation flows read via /rest/v1/campaigns.json and run against a set of Leads by requesting a trigger campaign with POST /rest/v1/campaigns/{id}/trigger.json, so downstream logic can push Leads into a Marketo flow. | Inventory Items Item master with costing and quantities, synced to storefronts and WMS. | Smart Campaigns is specific to Marketo and Inventory Items to Sage 300 — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. |
Each direction of the sync is driven by what the source system can signal and what the destination accepts — detection, delivery, and expected latency below.
DetectionStacksync polls Marketo for changes on an incremental schedule, reading only records changed since the previous pass. Polling: Get Lead Changes and Get Lead Activities from a paging token seeded by a sinceDatetime, plus Get Deleted Leads, or Bulk Extract filtered on.
DeliveryEach detected change is applied to Sage 300 as a row-level write, with types converted between the two schemas.
DetectionStacksync polls Sage 300 for changes on an incremental schedule, reading only records changed since the previous pass. Scheduled polling.
DeliveryEach detected change is written to Marketo through its API, with automatic retries and rate-limit backoff.

Fields map automatically even when names and types differ. Stacksync handles transformation and type casting for you, zero configuration required.
Yes. Stacksync provides a managed, real-time two-way integration between Marketo and Sage 300: authenticate both systems, choose the objects to sync (such as Marketo's Opportunities and Opportunity Roles and Custom Objects), map fields visually, and changes propagate both ways in milliseconds — no code required.
On the Sage 300 side: Purchase Orders, Inventory Items, AR Invoices and Receipts, AR Customers, plus custom fields where Sage 300 exposes them. On the Marketo side: Leads, Companies, Opportunities and Opportunity Roles, Custom Objects. Stacksync auto-detects both schemas and converts types between the two systems.
Yes. Each object mapping can be bidirectional or restricted to a single direction (both systems accept writes). Read-only mirrors, one-way pushes, and full two-way sync can be mixed in the same integration.
Common patterns for Marketo and Sage 300: Where Marketo captures new people: signups become customer records; Consent and contact changes travel; Purchase history drives segmentation. Registrations, form fills, or new subscribers in Marketo create or update the corresponding record in Sage 300, so the back office sees them without anyone re-keying.
Marketo: Marketo REST API (JSON over HTTPS) for Leads, Companies, Opportunities, Custom Objects, Activities, Lists, Programs, and Campaigns, plus an asynchronous Bulk Import (leads) and Bulk Extract (leads/activities/program members/custom objects) API and an Asset REST API for emails, forms, and landing pages. Authentication: OAuth 2.0 client_credentials (2-legged): GET the Identity URL /oauth/token?grant_type=client_credentials with a Custom Service client_id and client_secret to receive an access token valid for 3600 seconds, then send it as Authorization: Bearer on each call. The instance base URL is https://{munchkinId}.mktorest.com; passing the token as an access_token query parameter is deprecated (removal July 31, 2026). Sage 300: Sage 300 Web API (REST) on newer releases; .NET/COM SDK and direct SQL Server access on-prem. Authentication: Sage 300 user credentials (Basic auth on the Web API); database credentials for direct SQL reads. Stacksync manages authentication, retries, and rate limits on both sides.
Sage 300: Sage 300 (formerly Accpac) stores each company's data in its own SQL Server database with module-prefixed tables, so direct SQL reads are a common integration path on-prem. Marketo: Authentication is OAuth 2.0 client_credentials: GET the Identity URL /oauth/token to receive an access token valid for 3600 seconds, sent as an Authorization: Bearer header; the instance base URL is https://{munchkinId}.mktorest.com. Stacksync's field mapping accounts for these differences between Marketo and Sage 300 without custom code.
