Two-way sync
Changes in Gong or Success Factors instantly reflect in both systems. No stale data, no manual imports.
Keep Gong and Success Factors in sync without custom scripts. Cut weeks of integration work, eliminate silent data drift, and give your team a single, reliable source of truth.
Gong runs on people as much as on accounts: every contact, deal, and account has an owner, and those owners are employees whose roles, teams, and status are held in Success Factors. Success Factors is the system of record for the workforce, from new hires to promotions to departures, and often for the candidates the business is still deciding on. When the two systems are connected only by re-keying or an overnight export, they drift apart, and the CRM ends up assigning accounts to people who have left, holding territories that no longer match the org chart, and waiting days to give a new rep access.
Stacksync syncs CRM Objects, Library, Data Privacy (Erasure), Calls in Gong with EmpEmployment, EmpJob, EmpCompensation, Foundation Objects (FODepartment, FOLocation, FOCostCenter) in Success Factors field by field, in real time, and in both directions. You decide which system owns which fields, so Success Factors stays authoritative on roles and org structure while Gong keeps ownership and territory current, and Stacksync resolves conflicts by the rules you set.
A person recorded in Success Factors, such as a candidate or applicant, can create or update the matching contact in Gong, so relationship history and outreach are not rebuilt from scratch when the same individual appears in both.
When Success Factors records a new hire, a matching user or owner is created in Gong, so a new rep can start working accounts without waiting on a manual setup ticket.
When a person changes team, manager, or region in Success Factors, their accounts and territory assignments in Gong update to match, so pipeline stays with the right owner.
Representative objects on each side — any object or custom field can map to any target. Schemas are auto-detected; types are converted between the two systems.
| Gong objects | Success Factors objects | How this pairing syncs | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Users Gong users and team members with roles, titles, email, and settings, read via GET /v2/users to map call owners and participants to CRM and warehouse identities. Read-only. | User Core identity/User entity behind role-based permissions; a model distinct from Employee Central, synced two-way with a directory or IdP and downstream apps. | Same entity on both sides — records pair one-to-one and field-level changes reconcile in both directions. | |
| Interaction Stats (Activity) Aggregated talk/listen ratios, interaction stats, and day-by-day user activity retrieved via POST /v2/stats endpoints; read out for coaching and engagement reporting. Read-only. | EmpEmployment Employment record tying a person to an employment period (hire, service dates); carries lastModifiedDateTime used for incremental polling. | Interaction Stats (Activity) is specific to Gong and EmpEmployment to Success Factors — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Trackers & Scorecards Keyword and topic tracker definitions plus coaching scorecards, including answered scorecards, read from Settings as coaching and deal-risk signals. Read-only. | EmpJob Effective-dated job info: position, department, manager, FTE, pay grade, cost center; the most-synced record for downstream HR and provisioning. | Trackers & Scorecards is specific to Gong and EmpJob to Success Factors — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| CRM Objects Accounts, opportunities, stages, and users uploaded into Gong through the CRM integration API so CRM context appears alongside conversations. Write (upload) path. | EmpCompensation Effective-dated pay and compensation; usually read into a warehouse for reporting, writable for comp updates as new dated slices. | CRM Objects is specific to Gong and EmpCompensation to Success Factors — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Library Call-library folders and folder content (curated calls and snippets) read via GET /v2/library/folders and /v2/library/folder-content. Read-only. | Foundation Objects (FODepartment, FOLocation, FOCostCenter) Org-structure master data (department, location, cost center, division); mastered elsewhere and written in, or read out to build org charts. | Library is specific to Gong and Foundation Objects (FODepartment, FOLocation, FOCostCenter) to Success Factors — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Data Privacy (Erasure) GDPR/CCPA deletion handled by POST /v2/data-privacy/erase-data-for-email, with data-for-email lookups on the read side; a write path used for compliance deletions. | Position Position Management records for headcount and requisition planning; synced with an ATS or ERP to keep positions and reqs aligned. | Data Privacy (Erasure) is specific to Gong and Position to Success Factors — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. |
Each direction of the sync is driven by what the source system can signal and what the destination accepts — detection, delivery, and expected latency below.
DetectionStacksync polls Gong for changes on an incremental schedule, reading only records changed since the previous pass. Polling POST /v2/calls/extensive on fromDateTime/toDateTime.
DeliveryEach detected change is written to Success Factors through its API, with automatic retries and rate-limit backoff.
DetectionSuccess Factors notifies Stacksync of record changes through webhook events. Polling on each entity's lastModifiedDateTime / lastModifiedOn (effective-dated entities require date-range handling).
DeliveryEach detected change is written to Gong through its API, with automatic retries and rate-limit backoff.

Fields map automatically even when names and types differ. Stacksync handles transformation and type casting for you, zero configuration required.
Yes. Stacksync provides a managed, real-time two-way integration between Gong and Success Factors: authenticate both systems, choose the objects to sync (such as Gong's Users and Interaction Stats (Activity)), map fields visually, and changes propagate both ways in milliseconds — no code required.
Yes. Each object mapping can be bidirectional or restricted to a single direction (both systems accept writes). Read-only mirrors, one-way pushes, and full two-way sync can be mixed in the same integration.
Common patterns for Gong and Success Factors: Where Success Factors tracks people the business also engages: contacts stay in sync; New team members provisioned when they are hired; Ownership and territory follow the org chart. A person recorded in Success Factors, such as a candidate or applicant, can create or update the matching contact in Gong, so relationship history and outreach are not rebuilt from scratch when the same individual appears in both.
Gong: REST API on api.gong.io/v2 - retrieval endpoints (calls, transcript, users, stats, settings, library, logs) plus write endpoints for importing calls, uploading CRM data, and data-privacy erasure. Authentication: Basic authorization header combining an Access Key and Access Key Secret (created by a Gong technical admin, base64-encoded as key:secret); OAuth 2.0 Bearer tokens are supported for marketplace apps. Success Factors: OData V2 and V4 REST APIs (plus legacy SFAPI / Compound Employee SOAP API). Authentication: OAuth 2.0 SAML Bearer Assertion — register an OAuth client for an API key (used as client_id), then exchange a signed SAML assertion for a short-lived access token; legacy HTTP Basic auth is being retired. Stacksync manages authentication, retries, and rate limits on both sides.
Gong: The public API has no outbound webhooks or change-data-capture; new and updated calls are found by polling POST /v2/calls/extensive on fromDateTime/toDateTime, and transcripts and analysis appear only after asynchronous processing. Success Factors: Two parallel data models exist — the User entity versus the Employee Central model (PerPerson / EmpEmployment / EmpJob) — each with its own lastModifiedDateTime, so a sync must query both to avoid missing changes. Stacksync's field mapping accounts for these differences between Gong and Success Factors without custom code.
