Two-way sync
Changes in Gainsight or Xactly instantly reflect in both systems. No stale data, no manual imports.
Keep Gainsight and Xactly in sync without custom scripts. Cut weeks of integration work, eliminate silent data drift, and give your team a single, reliable source of truth.
The CRM is supposed to be the record of every customer relationship, but customer-relevant information also accumulates in the other tools a team runs. Whatever Gainsight holds or produces that touches a customer, whether conversations, payments, replies, enriched data, or notes, the CRM only benefits if it arrives without someone copying it over.
Stacksync connects Scorecard Fact, Timeline Activity, Success Plan, Task and Playbook in Gainsight to Positions & Titles, Quotas / Targets, Payment Summary (Payable), Products & Customers in Xactly with bi-directional, real-time sync. Activity and record changes in Gainsight update the matching contact or account in Xactly, and CRM data flows the other way wherever Gainsight can store and use it.
Charges, refunds, and subscription changes appear on the account in Xactly, so revenue context lives with the relationship.
Owner, lifecycle stage, or account details from Xactly sync into Gainsight, so people working there have the context without switching tools.
Tickets and conversations attach to the right contact and account in Xactly, so sales sees open issues before the next call.
Representative objects on each side — any object or custom field can map to any target. Schemas are auto-detected; types are converted between the two systems.
| Gainsight objects | Xactly objects | How this pairing syncs | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Task and Playbook Cockpit tasks generated from CTAs and playbooks; synced with Jira or Asana so execution happens in the team's own tool. | Quotas / Targets Period quota and target values per position or plan; loaded from planning tools through Connect (write) and read for attainment reporting, so read and write. | Task and Playbook is specific to Gainsight and Quotas / Targets to Xactly — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Custom Objects Org-specific MDA tables with the __gc suffix; discoverable via the Describe API so field mappings can be generated automatically. | Payment Summary (Payable) Approved payable amounts per participant per period; read as the output that feeds payroll and accounts payable, so effectively read-only. | Custom Objects is specific to Gainsight and Payment Summary (Payable) to Xactly — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Company Customer/account master in Gainsight CS; two-way synced with CRM and warehouse customer tables to keep ARR, owner, and renewal fields aligned. | Products & Customers Product and customer/account master used in crediting rules and reporting; loaded and updated from CRM/ERP through Connect (write) and read for lookups, so read and write. | Company is specific to Gainsight and Products & Customers to Xactly — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Person (People) Contacts associated to companies through the Company Person junction; synced two-way with CRM contacts and warehouse person records. | Orders Sales order and transaction records loaded into Incent as the raw input for crediting and calculation; created and updated through Connect load and ETL steps (write) and read back for reconciliation, so read and write. | Person (People) is specific to Gainsight and Orders to Xactly — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Relationship Sub-units within a company for multi-product or multi-team accounts; synced so each maps to the right contract in billing or an ERP. | Credits Crediting records that tie an order to a participant and position; system-calculated credits are read, while manual and adjustment credits are loaded through Connect, so read and write. | Relationship is specific to Gainsight and Credits to Xactly — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| CTA (Call to Action) Risk and expansion alerts that drive CSM plays; often synced to ticketing or project tools so follow-up work is tracked where teams operate. | Transactions (Commission & Bonus) Calculated commission and bonus line items produced by Incent's calculation engine; read as the output of comp runs for reporting and downstream payout, so effectively read-only results. | CTA (Call to Action) is specific to Gainsight and Transactions (Commission & Bonus) to Xactly — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. |
Each direction of the sync is driven by what the source system can signal and what the destination accepts — detection, delivery, and expected latency below.
DetectionStacksync polls Gainsight for changes on an incremental schedule, reading only records changed since the previous pass. Polling on the ModifiedDate (GS Modified Date) system field, which is filterable and sortable on every object.
DeliveryEach detected change is applied to Xactly as a row-level write, with types converted between the two schemas.
DetectionStacksync polls Xactly for changes on an incremental schedule, reading only records changed since the previous pass. No CDC log for external tools to consume.
DeliveryEach detected change is written to Gainsight through its API, with automatic retries and rate-limit backoff.

Pick the Gainsight and Xactly objects to sync — Stacksync auto-detects both schemas, including custom fields where the platform exposes them. Sync to existing tables, or let Stacksync create new ones with ideal data types.
Fields map automatically even when names and types differ. Stacksync handles transformation and type casting for you, zero configuration required.
Yes. Stacksync provides a managed, real-time two-way integration between Gainsight and Xactly: authenticate both systems, choose the objects to sync (such as Gainsight's Task and Playbook and Custom Objects), map fields visually, and changes propagate both ways in milliseconds — no code required.
Change detection on Gainsight: Polling on the ModifiedDate (GS Modified Date) system field, which is filterable and sortable on every object; Rules Engine Real-Time Rules can optionally push specific object events (e.g., a Company stage change) to an external endpoint. On Xactly: No CDC log for external tools to consume. Incremental sync uses SQL predicates on modified/last-updated timestamp columns (for example WHERE modified_date > watermark) against Connect's queryable objects, or scheduled Connect ETL Pipelines that pull deltas since the last run. Xactly Connect has no outbound HTTP webhooks, so change detection is pull/ETL-based. Each detected change propagates to the other side in milliseconds, with field-level conflict resolution and an inspectable event log.
On the Gainsight side: Scorecard Fact, Timeline Activity, Success Plan, Task and Playbook, plus custom fields where Gainsight exposes them. On the Xactly side: Positions & Titles, Quotas / Targets, Payment Summary (Payable), Products & Customers. Stacksync auto-detects both schemas and converts types between the two systems.
Yes. Each object mapping can be bidirectional or restricted to a single direction (both systems accept writes). Read-only mirrors, one-way pushes, and full two-way sync can be mixed in the same integration.
Common patterns for Gainsight and Xactly: Where Gainsight processes payments; Where Gainsight can store CRM context: fields kept current; Where Gainsight handles support or shared inboxes. Charges, refunds, and subscription changes appear on the account in Xactly, so revenue context lives with the relationship.
Gainsight: REST APIs (per-object) and asynchronous Bulk REST API. Authentication: API access key passed in the 'accesskey' request header (non-expiring), generated by a Gainsight admin; M2M OAuth (Client ID/Secret) is also supported. Xactly: Xactly Connect REST API v2 (JSON), plus ODBC/JDBC drivers over the same ANSI-SQL data model. Incent data is exposed as SQL-queryable objects (for example xactly_order, xactly_credit, xactly_transaction, xactly_payment); data is loaded and extracted through Connect load/query steps and server-side ETL Pipelines. The base host is region/pod-specific (for example https://<pod>.xactlycorp.com). Authentication: OAuth 2.0 via the Xactly Connect API Gateway (bearer tokens issued on behalf of an Xactly Incent user), with HTTP Basic authentication using a dedicated Xactly Connect service-user's credentials also supported for the Connect REST API v2. The connecting user needs Connect/API access plus the relevant object permissions in Incent. Stacksync manages authentication, retries, and rate limits on both sides.
