Two-way sync
Changes in Cvent or Intercom instantly reflect in both systems. No stale data, no manual imports.
Keep Cvent and Intercom in sync without custom scripts. Cut weeks of integration work, eliminate silent data drift, and give your team a single, reliable source of truth.
Intercom owns the customer relationship and the pipeline; Cvent runs the campaigns, audiences, and outreach that fill it. The two overlap on the same people and companies — a lead in one system is a subscriber, a segment member, an event registrant, or an ad audience in the other. When that overlap is bridged by CSV exports or a nightly job, sales works from lists that no longer match reality and marketing keeps targeting people whose status has already moved on.
Stacksync syncs Tickets, Data Events, Custom Data Attributes, Tags in Intercom with Surveys, Budgets, Events, Contacts in Cvent field by field, in real time, and in both directions. You decide which system owns which fields — Intercom can own account and opportunity status while Cvent owns engagement and campaign membership — and Stacksync keeps every copy consistent and resolves conflicts by rules you set.
When a contact or lead is created or edited in either system, the matching record appears or updates in the other, so campaigns reach real people and reps see who is already being marketed to.
Opens, clicks, form fills, event attendance, or ad responses recorded in Cvent post back to the contact or account in Intercom, so reps see interest before they reach out.
Status, stage, or score set in one system updates the matching record in the other, so a lead marketing is still nurturing is not worked as sales-ready, and a closed account stops receiving prospecting.
Representative objects on each side — any object or custom field can map to any target. Schemas are auto-detected; types are converted between the two systems.
| Cvent objects | Intercom objects | How this pairing syncs | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Contacts Account-wide people database spanning every event; synced two-way with a CRM or warehouse as the shared audience source of truth via the Create Contacts endpoint. | Contacts A single contact model covers both users and leads, distinguished by a role attribute. | Same entity on both sides — records pair one-to-one and field-level changes reconcile in both directions. | |
| Attendees and Registrations Per-event registrants; written in from CRM or marketing signup flows via POST /ea/attendees and read back out to a warehouse for attendance and registration-status reporting. | Segments Saved audience definitions are readable for targeting parity across tools. | Attendees and Registrations is specific to Cvent and Segments to Intercom — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Sessions Agenda items within an event; listed or created through the API and synced so session-level attendance feeds reporting tables. | Admins & Teams Teammate records map conversation ownership to CRM users. | Sessions is specific to Cvent and Admins & Teams to Intercom — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Speakers Speaker records tied to an event; synced two-way with a speaker database or CMS, with an updatedDate on each record for incremental pulls. | Articles Help center content is accessible via API for knowledge sync and audits. | Speakers is specific to Cvent and Articles to Intercom — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Exhibitors Exhibitor and sponsor records; synced to a CRM or database to track booth, sponsorship, and lead-capture data per event. | Companies Company records group contacts and carry plan and account attributes used in segmentation. | Exhibitors is specific to Cvent and Companies to Intercom — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Surveys Survey definitions and responses; read out to a warehouse for post-event feedback analysis alongside attendance data. | Conversations Support and sales threads sync outward for analytics and CRM context. | Surveys is specific to Cvent and Conversations to Intercom — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. |
Each direction of the sync is driven by what the source system can signal and what the destination accepts — detection, delivery, and expected latency below.
DetectionCvent notifies Stacksync of record changes through webhook events. Per-event webhooks push attendee, registration, session, and speaker changes.
DeliveryEach detected change is written to Intercom through its API, with automatic retries and rate-limit backoff.

Common patterns for Cvent and Intercom: New and updated people stay in step; Where Cvent captures engagement: activity lands on the record; Lead and lifecycle status agree. When a contact or lead is created or edited in either system, the matching record appears or updates in the other, so campaigns reach real people and reps see who is already being marketed to.
Cvent: Cvent REST API (JSON over HTTPS at api-platform.cvent.com/ea, paginated list endpoints). Authentication: OAuth 2.0 client-credentials flow: a client ID and secret are Basic-auth exchanged for a 60-minute bearer token at api-platform.cvent.com/ea/oauth2/token; legacy API-key and SOAP/CSN auth are deprecated. Intercom: REST API. Authentication: OAuth 2.0 for public apps or a workspace access token. Stacksync manages authentication, retries, and rate limits on both sides.
Intercom: API behavior is pinned per app using a version header, so integrations control when they adopt breaking changes. Cvent: List endpoints are paginated and return a paging object, so large audiences must be walked page by page rather than pulled in a single call. Stacksync's field mapping accounts for these differences between Cvent and Intercom without custom code.
