Why teams connect Auth0 and Xactly

Keep the people Xactly and Auth0 both track in agreement in real time: the internal users who own records in Xactly, and the customer login accounts in Auth0.

A CRM and an identity system usually describe different populations. Xactly tracks customers, contacts, and the deals in motion; Auth0 governs who is allowed to sign in and what they can reach. Where the two meet is people. The reps who own records in Xactly are the same employees Auth0 provisions and disables, and when Auth0 also runs the login accounts for your product, the customers in Xactly are the same users Auth0 authenticates. Left unconnected, a departure in Auth0 leaves stale ownership sitting in Xactly, and a signup in Auth0 never reaches the account it belongs to.

Stacksync syncs Credits, Transactions (Commission & Bonus), Participants (Payees), Positions & Titles in Xactly with Clients (Applications), Resource Servers (APIs), Log Events, Users in Auth0 in real time and in both directions, matching on email or an external ID and mapping field by field. Deactivation and record hand-off

When someone is disabled in Auth0, the matching user in Xactly is deactivated too, and the accounts, contacts, and deals they owned are flagged for reassignment, so nothing goes unattended after they leave.

Where Auth0 runs customer login accounts: identity on the customer record

Signup, account status, multi-factor enrollment, and last-login from Auth0 land on the matching contact or account in Xactly, so go-to-market teams see who has actually activated and who has gone dormant.

Group and entitlement membership as CRM fields

Membership of a directory group or an entitlement in Auth0 maps to fields in Xactly, such as product tier, plan, or internal team, so segmentation reflects real access rather than a manual guess.

DetectionAuth0 notifies Stacksync of record changes through webhook events. Event Streams and Log Streams deliver near-real-time user.created/updated/deleted and tenant events to a custom webhook or Amazon EventBridge.

DeliveryEach detected change is applied to Xactly as a row-level write, with types converted between the two schemas.

Xactly Auth0 Interval-based propagation

DetectionStacksync polls Xactly for changes on an incremental schedule, reading only records changed since the previous pass. No CDC log for external tools to consume.

Rate-limit considerations

  • Auth0: Per-tenant limit of about 15 Management API requests/second (bursts to 50) on paid tenants; X-RateLimit-* headers and HTTP 429 signal throttling.
  • Xactly: Xactly does not publish numeric per-second rate limits. The Connect platform enforces query concurrency and long-running-query limits, so large extracts are paged and heavy loads/queries run as asynchronous Connect jobs (submit, then retrieve results) rather than row-by-row calls; batch loads are the supported path for high volume.

Xactly

Integration surface
Xactly Connect REST API v2 (JSON), plus ODBC/JDBC drivers over the same ANSI-SQL data model. Incent data is exposed as SQL-queryable objects (for example xactly_order, xactly_credit, xactly_transaction, xactly_payment); data is loaded and extracted through Connect load/query steps and server-side ETL Pipelines. The base host is region/pod-specific (for example https://<pod>.xactlycorp.com).
Authentication
OAuth 2.0 via the Xactly Connect API Gateway (bearer tokens issued on behalf of an Xactly Incent user), with HTTP Basic authentication using a dedicated Xactly Connect service-user's credentials also supported for the Connect REST API v2. The connecting user needs Connect/API access plus the relevant object permissions in Incent.
Change detection
No CDC log for external tools to consume. Incremental sync uses SQL predicates on modified/last-updated timestamp columns (for example WHERE modified_date > watermark) against Connect's queryable objects, or scheduled Connect ETL Pipelines that pull deltas since the last run. Xactly Connect has no outbound HTTP webhooks, so change detection is pull/ETL-based.
