Two-way sync
Changes in Okta or Xactly instantly reflect in both systems. No stale data, no manual imports.
Keep Okta and Xactly in sync without custom scripts. Cut weeks of integration work, eliminate silent data drift, and give your team a single, reliable source of truth.
A CRM and an identity system usually describe different populations. Xactly tracks customers, contacts, and the deals in motion; Okta governs who is allowed to sign in and what they can reach. Where the two meet is people. The reps who own records in Xactly are the same employees Okta provisions and disables, and when Okta also runs the login accounts for your product, the customers in Xactly are the same users Okta authenticates. Left unconnected, a departure in Okta leaves stale ownership sitting in Xactly, and a signup in Okta never reaches the account it belongs to.
Stacksync syncs Payment Summary (Payable), Products & Customers, Orders, Credits in Xactly with System Log, Devices, Users, Groups in Okta in real time and in both directions, matching on email or an external ID and mapping field by field. You decide which system owns which fields, and new users, role and group changes, deactivations, and account status move within seconds instead of waiting on a quarterly access review or a manual export.
Membership of a directory group or an entitlement in Okta maps to fields in Xactly, such as product tier, plan, or internal team, so segmentation reflects real access rather than a manual guess.
A won or activated customer in Xactly can create or update the corresponding user or account in Okta, so provisioning starts from the CRM record instead of a separate ticket.
New employees in Okta become active users in Xactly with the right role, and group or department changes update their access and team, so the CRM's user list matches the directory without an admin re-keying it.
Representative objects on each side — any object or custom field can map to any target. Schemas are auto-detected; types are converted between the two systems.
| Okta objects | Xactly objects | How this pairing syncs | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Group Rules Dynamic rules that add users to groups from profile attributes; read and written to automate access based on department, title, or location. | Quotas / Targets Period quota and target values per position or plan; loaded from planning tools through Connect (write) and read for attainment reporting, so read and write. | Group Rules is specific to Okta and Quotas / Targets to Xactly — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Factors (Authenticators) MFA enrollments per user (Okta Verify, WebAuthn, SMS, email); read for security-posture reporting and reset when a device is lost or rotated. | Payment Summary (Payable) Approved payable amounts per participant per period; read as the output that feeds payroll and accounts payable, so effectively read-only. | Factors (Authenticators) is specific to Okta and Payment Summary (Payable) to Xactly — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Policies Sign-on, password, and authenticator-enrollment policies with their rules; read to audit access controls or updated to manage them centrally. | Products & Customers Product and customer/account master used in crediting rules and reporting; loaded and updated from CRM/ERP through Connect (write) and read for lookups, so read and write. | Policies is specific to Okta and Products & Customers to Xactly — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| System Log Immutable audit event stream of logins, admin changes, and lifecycle events; read-only, polled by timestamp and used as the change feed and SIEM source. | Orders Sales order and transaction records loaded into Incent as the raw input for crediting and calculation; created and updated through Connect load and ETL steps (write) and read back for reconciliation, so read and write. | System Log is specific to Okta and Orders to Xactly — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Devices Registered and managed device records tied to users; read to correlate access with device posture and to feed inventory or conditional-access reporting. | Credits Crediting records that tie an order to a participant and position; system-calculated credits are read, while manual and adjustment credits are loaded through Connect, so read and write. | Devices is specific to Okta and Credits to Xactly — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Users Universal Directory user records with profile attributes, credentials, and lifecycle status (staged, active, suspended, deprovisioned); full CRUD, so users are created, updated, activated, and deactivated to match an HR or identity source. | Transactions (Commission & Bonus) Calculated commission and bonus line items produced by Incent's calculation engine; read as the output of comp runs for reporting and downstream payout, so effectively read-only results. | Users is specific to Okta and Transactions (Commission & Bonus) to Xactly — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. |
Each direction of the sync is driven by what the source system can signal and what the destination accepts — detection, delivery, and expected latency below.
DetectionOkta notifies Stacksync of record changes through webhook events. Event Hooks send an HTTPS POST to a subscribed endpoint on events such as user.lifecycle.create and group.user_membership.add (after a one-time.
DeliveryEach detected change is applied to Xactly as a row-level write, with types converted between the two schemas.
DetectionStacksync polls Xactly for changes on an incremental schedule, reading only records changed since the previous pass. No CDC log for external tools to consume.
DeliveryEach detected change is written to Okta through its API, with automatic retries and rate-limit backoff.

Fields map automatically even when names and types differ. Stacksync handles transformation and type casting for you, zero configuration required.
Yes. Stacksync provides a managed, real-time two-way integration between Okta and Xactly: authenticate both systems, choose the objects to sync (such as Okta's Group Rules and Factors (Authenticators)), map fields visually, and changes propagate both ways in milliseconds — no code required.
Common patterns for Okta and Xactly: Group and entitlement membership as CRM fields; Where a closed deal should provision access: Xactly drives Okta; Where Okta governs your workforce: CRM users kept current. Membership of a directory group or an entitlement in Okta maps to fields in Xactly, such as product tier, plan, or internal team, so segmentation reflects real access rather than a manual guess.
Okta: REST API (Okta Management API, /api/v1) with Event Hooks for outbound events and the System Log API as the change feed. Authentication: SSWS API tokens (Authorization: SSWS {token}) scoped to the creating admin's permissions, or OAuth 2.0 for Okta service apps using a private-key-JWT client-credentials grant with granular scopes (DPoP supported). Xactly: Xactly Connect REST API v2 (JSON), plus ODBC/JDBC drivers over the same ANSI-SQL data model. Incent data is exposed as SQL-queryable objects (for example xactly_order, xactly_credit, xactly_transaction, xactly_payment); data is loaded and extracted through Connect load/query steps and server-side ETL Pipelines. The base host is region/pod-specific (for example https://<pod>.xactlycorp.com). Authentication: OAuth 2.0 via the Xactly Connect API Gateway (bearer tokens issued on behalf of an Xactly Incent user), with HTTP Basic authentication using a dedicated Xactly Connect service-user's credentials also supported for the Connect REST API v2. The connecting user needs Connect/API access plus the relevant object permissions in Incent. Stacksync manages authentication, retries, and rate limits on both sides.
Xactly: There is no CDC log for external tools; incremental sync filters on modified/last-updated timestamp columns or runs scheduled Connect ETL Pipelines, and Xactly Connect has no outbound HTTP webhooks. Okta: There is no database-style change log; near-real-time change detection uses Event Hooks (outbound HTTPS POST with a one-time verification challenge) and polling the System Log API by timestamp with the next Link header. Stacksync's field mapping accounts for these differences between Okta and Xactly without custom code.
Stacksync is SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 certified with HIPAA BAA support. Data is encrypted in transit, and a zero-persistent-storage architecture means Okta and Xactly records are not retained after a sync operation.
