Authentication: OAuth 2.0: exchange client_id/client_secret (HTTP Basic) at api.ramp.com/developer/v1/token for scoped bearer tokens; client_credentials grant for server-to-server and authorization_code for user-delegated access; scopes follow resource:permission (e.g. transactions:read, bills:write, accounting:write). TiDB: MySQL wire protocol (SQL). Authentication: Database credentials (MySQL-compatible username/password). Stacksync manages authentication, retries, and rate limits on both sides.
Ramp: Rate limited to 200 requests per 10-second rolling window per source IP; a 429 is returned on exceed (higher limits available on request), so historical backfills must be paced with keyset pagination. TiDB: TiDB is MySQL-protocol compatible, so existing MySQL drivers, ORMs, and tools connect without modification. Stacksync's field mapping accounts for these differences between Ramp and TiDB without custom code.
