Quip: REST (v1 Automation API). Authentication: OAuth 2.0 bearer tokens (RFC 6749/6750) or a Personal Access Token; domain admins can pre-approve apps for domain-wide authentication. Servicemax: Salesforce REST, SOAP, and Bulk APIs (ServiceMax is a managed package on the Salesforce platform). Authentication: Salesforce OAuth login via a user with API access; the connecting profile needs object and field permissions on ServiceMax's SVMXC__ objects. Stacksync manages authentication, retries, and rate limits on both sides.
Quip: The Automation API is rate limited to roughly 50 requests per minute per access token and returns HTTP 503 when exceeded, which constrains large backfills. Servicemax: Syncs consume the Salesforce org-wide daily API allocation shared by every integration; it varies by edition and license count.
