Two-way sync
Changes in Outreach or Workday instantly reflect in both systems. No stale data, no manual imports.
Keep Outreach and Workday in sync without custom scripts. Cut weeks of integration work, eliminate silent data drift, and give your team a single, reliable source of truth.
Finance and sales describe the same customers in different systems. Outreach knows the relationship: who the contacts are and what is in motion with the account. Workday knows the money: what was invoiced, what was paid, what is overdue. When the two are connected only by exports, each side works partly blind.
Stacksync links Positions, Compensation, Time Off and Absence, Payroll Results in Workday to Opportunities, Users, Mailboxes, Prospects in Outreach with bi-directional, real-time sync. New customers, updated billing details, invoice status, and payment activity move in whichever direction you configure, field by field, with conflicts resolved by rules you set. The result is one version of each customer, visible from both sides.
When a contact or address is corrected in Outreach, Workday gets the update before the next invoice goes out.
Finance sees the account owner and relationship history from Outreach when chasing a balance, and sales sees that the chase is happening.
A won opportunity creates or updates the customer in Workday with the right billing details, so invoicing starts without re-keying.
Representative objects on each side — any object or custom field can map to any target. Schemas are auto-detected; types are converted between the two systems.
| Outreach objects | Workday objects | |
|---|---|---|
| Mailboxes Connected sending accounts referenced when attributing outbound activity | Custom Reports (RaaS) Tenant-defined reports exposed as web service endpoints, often the practical read surface for syncs. | |
| Prospects The people being engaged; the main record kept in sync with the CRM | Workers The central HCM record covering employment, job, and personal data; the anchor of most syncs. | |
| Accounts Companies grouping prospects, aligned with CRM account ownership | Organizations Supervisory and company hierarchies read to drive routing and reporting in other systems. | |
| Sequences Multi-step cadences; synced as reference data for enrollment automation | Positions Job seats synced with recruiting and planning tools. | |
| Sequence states Per-prospect enrollments; writing one adds a prospect to a cadence | Compensation Pay components read into payroll, planning, and equity systems under strict access control. | |
| Mailings Sent emails with engagement data, pulled for activity analytics | Time Off and Absence Balances and requests synced with scheduling and workforce tools. |

Authenticate Outreach and Workday with each platform's native method — OAuth, API keys, or service accounts — plus secure options like SSH tunneling, IP whitelisting, and VPC peering.
Pick the Outreach and Workday objects to sync — Stacksync auto-detects both schemas, including custom fields where the platform exposes them. Sync to existing tables, or let Stacksync create new ones with ideal data types.
Fields map automatically even when names and types differ. Stacksync handles transformation and type casting for you, zero configuration required.
Yes. Stacksync provides a managed, real-time two-way integration between Outreach and Workday: authenticate both systems, choose the objects to sync (such as Outreach's Mailboxes and Prospects), map fields visually, and changes propagate both ways in milliseconds — no code required.
On the Workday side: Positions, Compensation, Time Off and Absence, Payroll Results, plus custom fields where Workday exposes them. On the Outreach side: Opportunities, Users, Mailboxes, Prospects. Stacksync auto-detects both schemas and converts types between the two systems.
Yes. Each object mapping can be bidirectional or restricted to a single direction (both systems accept writes). Read-only mirrors, one-way pushes, and full two-way sync can be mixed in the same integration.
Common patterns for Outreach and Workday: Billing detail changes flow back; Collections with context; Where Outreach tracks deals: closed-won creates the finance record. When a contact or address is corrected in Outreach, Workday gets the update before the next invoice goes out.
Outreach: REST API conforming to the JSON:API specification. Authentication: OAuth 2.0. Workday: SOAP Workday Web Services (WWS), a REST API, and Reports-as-a-Service (RaaS) endpoints for custom reports. Authentication: OAuth 2.0 for the REST API; integration system users with WS-Security or certificate-based auth for SOAP. Stacksync manages authentication, retries, and rate limits on both sides.
Workday: Workday is a multi-tenant SaaS where each tenant's configuration differs and web services are versioned, so integrations pin a WWS version and upgrade deliberately. Outreach: Sequence enrollment is modeled as its own resource (sequence states), so adding a prospect to a cadence is a normal record write rather than a special action. Stacksync's field mapping accounts for these differences between Outreach and Workday without custom code.
