Two-way sync
Changes in Marketo or Unleashed Software instantly reflect in both systems. No stale data, no manual imports.
Keep Marketo and Unleashed Software in sync without custom scripts. Cut weeks of integration work, eliminate silent data drift, and give your team a single, reliable source of truth.
Marketing runs on lists of people, but the list rarely knows which of those people are paying customers, what they ordered, or what they are worth. Unleashed Software holds exactly that: Customers, Suppliers, Warehouses, Stock Adjustments that record who the customer is, what they bought, and what they owe. When the two are joined only by a periodic export, campaigns go out against stale audiences, existing customers get prospecting emails, high-value accounts look the same as cold leads, and a canceled order still counts toward a segment.
Stacksync syncs Customers, Suppliers, Warehouses, Stock Adjustments in Unleashed Software with Opportunities and Opportunity Roles, Custom Objects, Activities and Lead Changes, Static Lists in Marketo in real time, and where both sides accept writes, in both directions. Customer, order, and invoice data maps field by field onto the contacts, audiences, or accounts Marketo works with, so segmentation and personalization run on current purchase history instead of a month-old snapshot. Contact details and consent changes that originate in Marketo flow back onto the record in Unleashed Software.
The strongest bridge between the two is identity and purchase history, who the customer is and what they have bought, so that is where most of the value sits. Because the sync is field-level, each system keeps the attributes the other has no use for; only the shared records are held in agreement.
A first order, a renewal, or a lapsed account recorded in Unleashed Software appears in Marketo within seconds, ready to start or stop a lifecycle campaign.
Registrations, form fills, or new subscribers in Marketo create or update the corresponding record in Unleashed Software, so the back office sees them without anyone re-keying.
Email, address, or subscription-status changes stay aligned across both systems, so a customer who updates their details or opts out is respected everywhere.
Representative objects on each side — any object or custom field can map to any target. Schemas are auto-detected; types are converted between the two systems.
| Marketo objects | Unleashed Software objects | How this pairing syncs | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Leads Core person records (called Leads/People), deduped on email address by default or a configured dedupe field; read via GET /rest/v1/leads.json with a filterType, upserted via POST /rest/v1/leads.json (action createOrUpdate/createOnly/updateOnly), bulk-imported via CSV through POST /bulk/v1/leads.json, and bulk-exported via /bulk/v1/leads/export/create.json. | Bills of Materials Production definitions used by assemblies; relevant for manufacturers syncing production data. | Leads is specific to Marketo and Bills of Materials to Unleashed Software — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Companies Company records linked to Leads via a company link field; read and upserted through /rest/v1/companies.json, typically mastered in a CRM or ERP and written into Marketo for account context. | Invoices Sales invoices raised from orders, synced into accounting systems. | Companies is specific to Marketo and Invoices to Unleashed Software — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Opportunities and Opportunity Roles Revenue objects synced via /rest/v1/opportunities.json and /rest/v1/opportunities/roles.json; roles associate an opportunity with a Lead, so pipeline data can drive nurture and scoring. | Products SKU master records with pricing, units of measure, and inventory settings. | Opportunities and Opportunity Roles is specific to Marketo and Products to Unleashed Software — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Custom Objects Auxiliary data tables described via /rest/v1/customobjects.json and read/written via /rest/v1/customobjects/{apiName}.json, linked to Leads by a dedupe/link field so campaigns branch on records like purchases or subscriptions. | Stock On Hand Quantity and value per product per warehouse; the read source for availability syncs. | Custom Objects is specific to Marketo and Stock On Hand to Unleashed Software — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Activities and Lead Changes Engagement feed (opens, clicks, form fills, Data Value Changes) read via GET /rest/v1/activities.json using a paging token from /rest/v1/activities/pagingtoken.json (sinceDatetime), plus Get Lead Changes and Get Deleted Leads; read-only, also available via async Bulk Activity Extract. | Sales Orders Outbound orders with lines, status, and fulfillment detail; a common write target from storefronts and CRMs. | Activities and Lead Changes is specific to Marketo and Sales Orders to Unleashed Software — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Static Lists Named static lists; read via /rest/v1/lists.json, with Leads added or removed via POST and DELETE on /rest/v1/lists/{listId}/leads.json to control campaign membership from lifecycle logic computed downstream. | Purchase Orders Inbound supply orders synced for procurement visibility. | Static Lists is specific to Marketo and Purchase Orders to Unleashed Software — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. |
Each direction of the sync is driven by what the source system can signal and what the destination accepts — detection, delivery, and expected latency below.
DetectionStacksync polls Marketo for changes on an incremental schedule, reading only records changed since the previous pass. Polling: Get Lead Changes and Get Lead Activities from a paging token seeded by a sinceDatetime, plus Get Deleted Leads, or Bulk Extract filtered on.
DeliveryEach detected change is written to Unleashed Software through its API, with automatic retries and rate-limit backoff.

Yes. Stacksync provides a managed, real-time two-way integration between Marketo and Unleashed Software: authenticate both systems, choose the objects to sync (such as Marketo's Leads and Companies), map fields visually, and changes propagate both ways in milliseconds — no code required.
Common patterns for Marketo and Unleashed Software: Lifecycle triggers from back-office events; Where Marketo captures new people: signups become customer records; Consent and contact changes travel. A first order, a renewal, or a lapsed account recorded in Unleashed Software appears in Marketo within seconds, ready to start or stop a lifecycle campaign.
Marketo: Marketo REST API (JSON over HTTPS) for Leads, Companies, Opportunities, Custom Objects, Activities, Lists, Programs, and Campaigns, plus an asynchronous Bulk Import (leads) and Bulk Extract (leads/activities/program members/custom objects) API and an Asset REST API for emails, forms, and landing pages. Authentication: OAuth 2.0 client_credentials (2-legged): GET the Identity URL /oauth/token?grant_type=client_credentials with a Custom Service client_id and client_secret to receive an access token valid for 3600 seconds, then send it as Authorization: Bearer on each call. The instance base URL is https://{munchkinId}.mktorest.com; passing the token as an access_token query parameter is deprecated (removal July 31, 2026). Unleashed Software: REST API. Authentication: API ID plus API key, with each request signed using an HMAC-SHA256 of the query string. Stacksync manages authentication, retries, and rate limits on both sides.
Unleashed Software: List endpoints support modified-date filters, which is the practical change-detection mechanism for incremental syncs. Marketo: Leads deduplicate on email address by default (or a configured dedupe field / Marketo id), and POST /rest/v1/leads.json with action createOrUpdate upserts against that key, so records without a match key create duplicates. Stacksync's field mapping accounts for these differences between Marketo and Unleashed Software without custom code.
Stacksync is SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 certified with HIPAA BAA support. Data is encrypted in transit, and a zero-persistent-storage architecture means Marketo and Unleashed Software records are not retained after a sync operation.
