Two-way sync
Changes in Marketo or TiDB instantly reflect in both systems. No stale data, no manual imports.
Keep Marketo and TiDB in sync without custom scripts. Cut weeks of integration work, eliminate silent data drift, and give your team a single, reliable source of truth.
Marketo holds the people, audiences, and campaign activity that marketing runs on, but that data sits behind interfaces built for marketers, not for your internal systems. Engineers and analysts who need contacts, list membership, or engagement, for reporting, attribution, or product logic, end up writing integration code against a rate-limited API and maintaining it forever. Meanwhile the customer and usage data marketers want for targeting already lives in TiDB, hard to get into campaigns without manual exports.
Stacksync mirrors Static Lists, Programs and Program Members, Smart Campaigns, Leads from Marketo into Indexes, Sequences, Databases, Tables in TiDB field by field, in real time, and in both directions. Marketing records become rows your code can query and join with product and customer data; audiences and attributes computed in TiDB, from usage, orders, or account status, sync back into Marketo to drive campaigns and ads, with Marketo kept authoritative for engagement. You decide which side owns which fields, and Stacksync resolves conflicts by rules you set.
Opens, clicks, sends, RSVPs, or ad activity from Marketo land in TiDB beside the matching customer record, ready for reporting and revenue attribution.
A new lead, form fill, or list change in Marketo arrives as a row change in TiDB, so scoring, jobs, and notifications run in the tooling your team already uses.
Lifecycle stage, subscription status, or plan maintained on either side stays current on the other, ending exports and dual data entry.
Representative objects on each side — any object or custom field can map to any target. Schemas are auto-detected; types are converted between the two systems.
| Marketo objects | TiDB objects | How this pairing syncs | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Custom Objects Auxiliary data tables described via /rest/v1/customobjects.json and read/written via /rest/v1/customobjects/{apiName}.json, linked to Leads by a dedupe/link field so campaigns branch on records like purchases or subscriptions. | Columns MySQL-compatible types mapped to fields in the paired system. | Custom Objects is specific to Marketo and Columns to TiDB — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Activities and Lead Changes Engagement feed (opens, clicks, form fills, Data Value Changes) read via GET /rest/v1/activities.json using a paging token from /rest/v1/activities/pagingtoken.json (sinceDatetime), plus Get Lead Changes and Get Deleted Leads; read-only, also available via async Bulk Activity Extract. | Indexes Secondary indexes that keep incremental sync queries efficient. | Activities and Lead Changes is specific to Marketo and Indexes to TiDB — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Static Lists Named static lists; read via /rest/v1/lists.json, with Leads added or removed via POST and DELETE on /rest/v1/lists/{listId}/leads.json to control campaign membership from lifecycle logic computed downstream. | Sequences Server-side ID generation relevant when external systems write rows. | Static Lists is specific to Marketo and Sequences to TiDB — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Programs and Program Members Marketing programs read via /rest/v1/programs.json; program membership and member status managed via /rest/v1/leads/programs/{programId}.json and the program status endpoint for acquisition and attribution reporting. | Databases MySQL-style schemas addressed by any MySQL-compatible client. | Programs and Program Members is specific to Marketo and Databases to TiDB — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Smart Campaigns Automation flows read via /rest/v1/campaigns.json and run against a set of Leads by requesting a trigger campaign with POST /rest/v1/campaigns/{id}/trigger.json, so downstream logic can push Leads into a Marketo flow. | Tables Row data stored in TiKV; the primary unit for reads, writes, and CDC. | Smart Campaigns is specific to Marketo and Tables to TiDB — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Leads Core person records (called Leads/People), deduped on email address by default or a configured dedupe field; read via GET /rest/v1/leads.json with a filterType, upserted via POST /rest/v1/leads.json (action createOrUpdate/createOnly/updateOnly), bulk-imported via CSV through POST /bulk/v1/leads.json, and bulk-exported via /bulk/v1/leads/export/create.json. | Views Logical views for shaping reads before syncing outward. | Leads is specific to Marketo and Views to TiDB — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. |
Each direction of the sync is driven by what the source system can signal and what the destination accepts — detection, delivery, and expected latency below.
DetectionStacksync polls Marketo for changes on an incremental schedule, reading only records changed since the previous pass. Polling: Get Lead Changes and Get Lead Activities from a paging token seeded by a sinceDatetime, plus Get Deleted Leads, or Bulk Extract filtered on.
DeliveryEach detected change is applied to TiDB as a row-level write, with types converted between the two schemas.
DetectionChanges in TiDB are captured at the source via change data capture — no polling loop against its API. Log-based CDC via TiCDC, which captures row changes from TiKV and streams them to downstream sinks.
DeliveryEach detected change is written to Marketo through its API, with automatic retries and rate-limit backoff.
Real-time sync, workflow automation, event queues, EDI, and monitoring, for every Marketo–TiDB connection.

Configure and sync within minutes, no code. Whether you sync 50k or 100M+ records, Stacksync handles the queues, infra, and plumbing. Integrations are non-invasive and need zero setup on your systems.
Authenticate Marketo and TiDB with each platform's native method — OAuth, API keys, or service accounts — plus secure options like SSH tunneling, IP whitelisting, and VPC peering.
Pick the Marketo and TiDB objects to sync — Stacksync auto-detects both schemas, including custom fields where the platform exposes them. Sync to existing tables, or let Stacksync create new ones with ideal data types.
Fields map automatically even when names and types differ. Stacksync handles transformation and type casting for you, zero configuration required.
Yes. Stacksync provides a managed, real-time two-way integration between Marketo and TiDB: authenticate both systems, choose the objects to sync (such as Marketo's Custom Objects and Activities and Lead Changes), map fields visually, and changes propagate both ways in milliseconds — no code required.
Change detection on Marketo: Polling: Get Lead Changes and Get Lead Activities from a paging token seeded by a sinceDatetime, plus Get Deleted Leads, or Bulk Extract filtered on createdAt/updatedAt. Marketo's Webhooks are Smart Campaign flow-step outbound HTTP calls to a URL, not a general record-change subscription, so there is no push feed of arbitrary CRUD. On TiDB: Log-based CDC via TiCDC, which captures row changes from TiKV and streams them to downstream sinks; polling also works. Each detected change propagates to the other side in milliseconds, with field-level conflict resolution and an inspectable event log.
On the TiDB side: Indexes, Sequences, Databases, Tables, plus custom fields where TiDB exposes them. On the Marketo side: Static Lists, Programs and Program Members, Smart Campaigns, Leads. Stacksync auto-detects both schemas and converts types between the two systems.
Yes. Each object mapping can be bidirectional or restricted to a single direction (both systems accept writes). Read-only mirrors, one-way pushes, and full two-way sync can be mixed in the same integration.
Common patterns for Marketo and TiDB: Engagement and results next to the customer; React to marketing changes as row changes; Keep contact attributes consistent. Opens, clicks, sends, RSVPs, or ad activity from Marketo land in TiDB beside the matching customer record, ready for reporting and revenue attribution.
Marketo: Marketo REST API (JSON over HTTPS) for Leads, Companies, Opportunities, Custom Objects, Activities, Lists, Programs, and Campaigns, plus an asynchronous Bulk Import (leads) and Bulk Extract (leads/activities/program members/custom objects) API and an Asset REST API for emails, forms, and landing pages. Authentication: OAuth 2.0 client_credentials (2-legged): GET the Identity URL /oauth/token?grant_type=client_credentials with a Custom Service client_id and client_secret to receive an access token valid for 3600 seconds, then send it as Authorization: Bearer on each call. The instance base URL is https://{munchkinId}.mktorest.com; passing the token as an access_token query parameter is deprecated (removal July 31, 2026). TiDB: MySQL wire protocol (SQL). Authentication: Database credentials (MySQL-compatible username/password). Stacksync manages authentication, retries, and rate limits on both sides.
