Two-way sync
Changes in Insightly or Ramp instantly reflect in both systems. No stale data, no manual imports.
Keep Insightly and Ramp in sync without custom scripts. Cut weeks of integration work, eliminate silent data drift, and give your team a single, reliable source of truth.
Finance and sales describe the same customers in different systems. Insightly knows the relationship: who the contacts are and what is in motion with the account. Ramp knows the money: what was invoiced, what was paid, what is overdue. When the two are connected only by exports, each side works partly blind.
Stacksync links Bills, Vendors, Funds (Spend Controls), General Ledger Accounts in Ramp to Organizations, Leads, Opportunities, Projects in Insightly with bi-directional, real-time sync. New customers, updated billing details, invoice status, and payment activity move in whichever direction you configure, field by field, with conflicts resolved by rules you set. The result is one version of each customer, visible from both sides.
Invoice and payment status from Ramp appears on the account in Insightly, so reps see overdue balances before they promise the next order.
When a contact or address is corrected in Insightly, Ramp gets the update before the next invoice goes out.
Finance sees the account owner and relationship history from Insightly when chasing a balance, and sales sees that the chase is happening.
Representative objects on each side — any object or custom field can map to any target. Schemas are auto-detected; types are converted between the two systems.
| Insightly objects | Ramp objects | How this pairing syncs | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Leads Unqualified prospects sync in from forms and enrichment sources before conversion. | Departments Org groupings for cost-center and GL allocation; pushed from an ERP/HRIS and referenced by cards and transactions. | Leads is specific to Insightly and Departments to Ramp — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Opportunities Pipeline records feed forecasting and warehouse-based reporting. | Reimbursements Out-of-pocket expense claims; read for reporting and marked ready-to-sync then synced to the ERP. | Opportunities is specific to Insightly and Reimbursements to Ramp — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Projects Delivery records created from won opportunities sync with PSA and task tools. | Bills Accounts-payable bills; created, updated, approved, and paid, then posted ready-to-sync and synced to accounting. | Projects is specific to Insightly and Bills to Ramp — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Tasks Activity records keep follow-ups consistent across systems. | Vendors Supplier records under the accounting namespace; uploaded and updated for AP matching and payments. | Tasks is specific to Insightly and Vendors to Ramp — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Events Calendar items sync for a complete activity timeline. | Funds (Spend Controls) Spend controls governing card usage; read and created via the funds API to enforce budgets per user, department, or program. | Events is specific to Insightly and Funds (Spend Controls) to Ramp — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |

Each direction of the sync is driven by what the source system can signal and what the destination accepts — detection, delivery, and expected latency below.
DetectionStacksync polls Insightly for changes on an incremental schedule, reading only records changed since the previous pass. Polling on record updated-date fields.
DeliveryEach detected change is written to Ramp through its API, with automatic retries and rate-limit backoff.
DetectionRamp notifies Stacksync of record changes through webhook events. Signed webhooks (HMAC-SHA256 X-Ramp-Signature) for bill, transaction, reimbursement, vendor, and user events.

Yes. Stacksync provides a managed, real-time two-way integration between Insightly and Ramp: authenticate both systems, choose the objects to sync (such as Insightly's Leads and Opportunities), map fields visually, and changes propagate both ways in milliseconds — no code required.
Yes. Each object mapping can be bidirectional or restricted to a single direction (both systems accept writes). Read-only mirrors, one-way pushes, and full two-way sync can be mixed in the same integration.
Common patterns for Insightly and Ramp: Payment status on the account; Billing detail changes flow back; Collections with context. Invoice and payment status from Ramp appears on the account in Insightly, so reps see overdue balances before they promise the next order.
Insightly: REST API (versioned). Authentication: API key sent via HTTP Basic authentication. Ramp: REST API (Developer API v1). Authentication: OAuth 2.0: exchange client_id/client_secret (HTTP Basic) at api.ramp.com/developer/v1/token for scoped bearer tokens; client_credentials grant for server-to-server and authorization_code for user-delegated access; scopes follow resource:permission (e.g. transactions:read, bills:write, accounting:write). Stacksync manages authentication, retries, and rate limits on both sides.
Ramp: Rate limited to 200 requests per 10-second rolling window per source IP; a 429 is returned on exceed (higher limits available on request), so historical backfills must be paced with keyset pagination. Insightly: Insightly combines CRM and project management in one data model, so opportunities can convert into linked projects, and both object types are available over the same API. Stacksync's field mapping accounts for these differences between Insightly and Ramp without custom code.
