Two-way sync
Changes in Docusign or Paylocity instantly reflect in both systems. No stale data, no manual imports.
Keep Docusign and Paylocity in sync without custom scripts. Cut weeks of integration work, eliminate silent data drift, and give your team a single, reliable source of truth.
Each tool in Docusign keeps its own list of who can use it: users, members, or agents, along with the team they sit on and whether they are still active. Paylocity is the authoritative record of the same people as employees, with their department, manager, and employment status. When those two are connected only by manual account admin or a periodic export, the work tools drift: new hires wait days for access, team and manager changes never catch up, and people who have left keep standing accounts.
Stacksync syncs Tabs (form fields), Envelope Custom Fields, Folders, Users in Docusign with Company Codes, Custom Fields, Employees, Onboarding in Paylocity bi-directionally and in real time. A person added, moved, or offboarded in Paylocity creates or updates the matching user in Docusign within seconds, with field-level mapping and conflict resolution in place of spreadsheets and one-off account changes. Where Docusign captures details of its own, such as a corrected contact or a login identity, those can flow back to Paylocity in whichever direction you configure.
Because the sync is field-level, each system keeps its own extras; only the shared facts, who a person is, which team they belong to, and whether their access should be on, are held in agreement.
Department, team, and reporting-line changes from Paylocity keep the groups, queues, or projects in Docusign assigned to the right people.
When someone changes teams or managers in Paylocity, the queues, ownership, or approvals in Docusign update to match, so work reaches whoever holds the role now.
A new hire recorded in Paylocity creates the matching user in Docusign with the right team and manager already set, so people can start working without waiting on a provisioning ticket.
Representative objects on each side — any object or custom field can map to any target. Schemas are auto-detected; types are converted between the two systems.
| Docusign objects | Paylocity objects | How this pairing syncs | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Users Account members and senders; the eSignature Users resource exposes them for attribution and reporting, while bulk org-wide user provisioning uses the separate Admin API. | Company Codes Read-only reference codes and descriptions (cost centers, departments, positions) used to validate field mappings on employee writes. | Users is specific to Docusign and Company Codes to Paylocity — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Envelopes The core container for a signature request — documents, recipients, routing, and status; read status and metadata two-way, and create/send new envelopes. | Custom Fields Read-only company-specific custom fields returned by category, used to enrich the employee record downstream. | Envelopes is specific to Docusign and Custom Fields to Paylocity — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Recipients Signers, carbon copies, and agents on an envelope, each with a routing order and status; read recipient progress, write recipient lists when an envelope is created. | Employees Core HR record keyed by companyId + employeeId; two-way via Create New Employee (POST) and Update Employee (PATCH), plus Get Employee / Get All Employees for reads. | Recipients is specific to Docusign and Employees to Paylocity — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Documents The PDF files inside an envelope plus the certificate of completion; read signed output out to a store, or supply source documents on create. | Onboarding Create Employee Onboarding pushes new-hire data into Paylocity's onboarding workflow; Get Onboarding Status reads back partner onboarding progress. Write-in for hires from an ATS. | Documents is specific to Docusign and Onboarding to Paylocity — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Templates Reusable envelope definitions with predefined recipients and tab placement; read to map fields and referenced by ID to generate new envelopes. | Deductions (Pay Setup) Recurring deduction codes at the employee level; two-way via Upsert Deduction and Delete, with Get Deduction / Get All Deductions for reads. | Templates is specific to Docusign and Deductions (Pay Setup) to Paylocity — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Tabs (form fields) Signature, initial, date, text, and checkbox fields on a document; they carry the data a signer entered and are read out into databases. | Earnings (Pay Setup) Recurring earning codes at the employee level; two-way via Upsert Earning and Delete, with Get All Earnings and Get by earning code for reads. | Tabs (form fields) is specific to Docusign and Earnings (Pay Setup) to Paylocity — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. |
Each direction of the sync is driven by what the source system can signal and what the destination accepts — detection, delivery, and expected latency below.
DetectionDocusign notifies Stacksync of record changes through webhook events. Docusign Connect webhooks push envelope and recipient status-change events in real time.
DeliveryEach detected change is written to Paylocity through its API, with automatic retries and rate-limit backoff.
DetectionPaylocity notifies Stacksync of record changes through webhook events. Webhooks — Paylocity POSTs Employee New Hire, Employee Change, Termination, Payroll Processed, and Time Off Approval events to a callback URL.
DeliveryEach detected change is written to Docusign through its API, with automatic retries and rate-limit backoff.

Changes in Docusign or Paylocity instantly reflect in both systems. No stale data, no manual imports.
Trigger automated workflows whenever Docusign or Paylocity data changes, update records, fire webhooks, or kick off sequences without brittle API scripts.
Handle millions of events per minute without losing a single Docusign or Paylocity record.
Track your Docusign ⇄ Paylocity sync health, view errors, and replay failed events in one click.
Transform legacy EDI complexity into simple database interactions between Docusign and Paylocity.
Configure and sync within minutes, no code. Whether you sync 50k or 100M+ records, Stacksync handles the queues, infra, and plumbing. Integrations are non-invasive and need zero setup on your systems.
Authenticate Docusign and Paylocity with each platform's native method — OAuth, API keys, or service accounts — plus secure options like SSH tunneling, IP whitelisting, and VPC peering.
Pick the Docusign and Paylocity objects to sync — Stacksync auto-detects both schemas, including custom fields where the platform exposes them. Sync to existing tables, or let Stacksync create new ones with ideal data types.
Fields map automatically even when names and types differ. Stacksync handles transformation and type casting for you, zero configuration required.
Yes. Stacksync provides a managed, real-time two-way integration between Docusign and Paylocity: authenticate both systems, choose the objects to sync (such as Docusign's Users and Envelopes), map fields visually, and changes propagate both ways in milliseconds — no code required.
Stacksync pricing is usage-based and starts at $1,000/month, including the managed Docusign and Paylocity connectors, real-time two-way sync, monitoring, and support. That replaces building and maintaining a custom Docusign–Paylocity integration in-house.
Yes — Stacksync ships production-grade connectors for both Docusign and Paylocity. The connectors handle authentication, schema detection, rate limits, and retries; you configure the sync, and Stacksync operates it.
Change detection on Docusign: Docusign Connect webhooks push envelope and recipient status-change events in real time; polling is the fallback and is limited to once every 15 minutes per envelope. On Paylocity: Webhooks — Paylocity POSTs Employee New Hire, Employee Change, Termination, Payroll Processed, and Time Off Approval events to a callback URL; payloads carry only companyId and employeeId, so the receiver calls the relevant API to fetch changed values. Scheduled polling is used for objects without webhooks. Each detected change propagates to the other side in milliseconds, with field-level conflict resolution and an inspectable event log.
On the Docusign side: Tabs (form fields), Envelope Custom Fields, Folders, Users, plus custom fields where Docusign exposes them. On the Paylocity side: Company Codes, Custom Fields, Employees, Onboarding. Stacksync auto-detects both schemas and converts types between the two systems.
Yes. Each object mapping can be bidirectional or restricted to a single direction (both systems accept writes). Read-only mirrors, one-way pushes, and full two-way sync can be mixed in the same integration.
