Authentication: OAuth 2.0 client-credentials flow: a client ID and secret are Basic-auth exchanged for a 60-minute bearer token at api-platform.cvent.com/ea/oauth2/token; legacy API-key and SOAP/CSN auth are deprecated. Elasticsearch: REST API (JSON over HTTP). Authentication: API keys or basic authentication; Elastic Cloud also issues service account tokens. Stacksync manages authentication, retries, and rate limits on both sides.
Elasticsearch: Writes are addressed by document _id, so upserts map directly onto the index API, and the _bulk endpoint batches many operations in a single request. Cvent: Webhooks are configured per event through the Integrations menu (over account-level defaults), so each new event needs its subscriptions enabled before attendee, session, and speaker changes start flowing. Stacksync's field mapping accounts for these differences between Cvent and Elasticsearch without custom code.
