Two-way sync
Changes in BambooHR or Zuora instantly reflect in both systems. No stale data, no manual imports.
Keep BambooHR and Zuora in sync without custom scripts. Cut weeks of integration work, eliminate silent data drift, and give your team a single, reliable source of truth.
Zuora runs the money side of the company: who gets paid, what it costs, and which part of the business the cost belongs to. BambooHR runs the people side: who works here, which team they sit in, and how their employment changes over time. The two overlap on the same people and the same org structure, because every employee is also a payee and every department is also a cost center. When that overlap is maintained by hand, a new hire, a transfer, or a termination has to be keyed twice, and the two systems start to disagree about who is active and where the cost lands.
Stacksync syncs Payment, Usage, Order and Amendment, Account (Billing Account) in Zuora with Departments and Divisions, Custom Tables, Reports, Employees in BambooHR bi-directionally and in real time. A person added, updated, or deactivated on either side appears on the other within seconds, with field-level mapping and conflict resolution in place of CSV exports and nightly batch jobs.
That matters most when money follows a people event. A hire that finance can pay, a leaver whose access ends, a transfer that redirects cost to the right team, all happen from one change instead of two, so headcount and spend reconcile from the same set of records.
When someone is added in BambooHR, a matching employee or payee record appears in Zuora, ready for payroll, expenses, or cost allocation without anyone rekeying the details.
A person's name, ID, or contact details corrected in either system update the other, so finance and HR reference the same person instead of maintaining two versions.
The org structure maintained in BambooHR keeps the departments or cost centers in Zuora current, so spend and headcount roll up the same way.
Representative objects on each side — any object or custom field can map to any target. Schemas are auto-detected; types are converted between the two systems.
| BambooHR objects | Zuora objects | How this pairing syncs | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Departments and Divisions Org-structure list values; synced to keep cost centers and team groupings consistent across ERP, identity, and analytics systems. | Usage Metered consumption records; written into Zuora from a metering or warehouse pipeline so consumption-based charges are rated and invoiced. | Departments and Divisions is specific to BambooHR and Usage to Zuora — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Custom Tables Company-specific effective-dated tables (assets, training, certifications); rows read and written so custom HR data isn't trapped in the HRIS. | Order and Amendment Records of subscription create and change actions; written to Zuora to drive quote-to-cash and read for subscription change history. | Custom Tables is specific to BambooHR and Order and Amendment to Zuora — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Reports Saved company reports retrievable via API; read out on a schedule to feed a warehouse without rebuilding field-by-field queries. | Account (Billing Account) The customer billing entity holding contacts, payment methods, and billing settings; synced two-way as the parent record most other Zuora objects hang off. | Reports is specific to BambooHR and Account (Billing Account) to Zuora — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Employees The core person record with personal and work fields; read out to identity, payroll, and IT systems, and written back from recruiting or onboarding tools. | Subscription Recurring or usage-based subscription tied to an Account; read for revenue state and written when provisioning or changing plans from a CRM or app. | Employees is specific to BambooHR and Subscription to Zuora — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Job Information Effective-dated job title, department, division, location, and reporting line; synced so org charts and provisioning systems track internal moves. | Rate Plan and Rate Plan Charge The priced components inside a Subscription; synced so charge amounts, quantities, and effective dates stay aligned with the source system. | Job Information is specific to BambooHR and Rate Plan and Rate Plan Charge to Zuora — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Compensation Effective-dated pay rate, schedule, and change reason; read into planning and payroll systems with access restricted to authorized fields. | Product and Product Rate Plan (Product Catalog) The catalog of sellable products and their pricing; usually mastered elsewhere and written into Zuora, or read to map subscription charges. | Compensation is specific to BambooHR and Product and Product Rate Plan (Product Catalog) to Zuora — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. |
Each direction of the sync is driven by what the source system can signal and what the destination accepts — detection, delivery, and expected latency below.
DetectionBambooHR notifies Stacksync of record changes through webhook events. The Get Updated Employee IDs endpoint (last-changed timestamps) returns employees inserted, updated, or deleted since a cursor for efficient polling.
DeliveryEach detected change is written to Zuora through its API, with automatic retries and rate-limit backoff.
DetectionZuora notifies Stacksync of record changes through webhook events. Incremental extraction on the indexed UpdatedDate column via ZOQL/AQuA stateful mode (high-water mark), plus Callout Notifications (webhooks) for.

Yes. Stacksync provides a managed, real-time two-way integration between BambooHR and Zuora: authenticate both systems, choose the objects to sync (such as BambooHR's Departments and Divisions and Custom Tables), map fields visually, and changes propagate both ways in milliseconds — no code required.
BambooHR: BambooHR API (REST, per-company subdomain). Authentication: API key per user over HTTP Basic auth (key as username), scoped to that user's permission level in BambooHR; OAuth/OpenID available for SSO-enabled apps. Zuora: REST API (v1) with Object Query, Data Query, and AQuA bulk export; legacy SOAP API also available. Authentication: OAuth 2.0 client credentials (bearer token, 3600s expiry); access is governed by the Zuora role of the OAuth client's associated user, with no granular scopes. Stacksync manages authentication, retries, and rate limits on both sides.
Zuora: Concurrency limits apply per tenant: 40 concurrent requests by default, 80 for Object Queries, and 200 for high-volume operations, each doubled for Performance Booster; breaching them returns HTTP 429. BambooHR: Each account lives on a company subdomain (companyname.bamboohr.com) that is part of every API URL. Stacksync's field mapping accounts for these differences between BambooHR and Zuora without custom code.
Stacksync is SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 certified with HIPAA BAA support. Data is encrypted in transit, and a zero-persistent-storage architecture means BambooHR and Zuora records are not retained after a sync operation.
Stacksync pricing is usage-based and starts at $1,000/month, including the managed BambooHR and Zuora connectors, real-time two-way sync, monitoring, and support. That replaces building and maintaining a custom BambooHR–Zuora integration in-house.
