Two-way sync
Changes in Salesforce Marketing Cloud or TikTok Shop instantly reflect in both systems. No stale data, no manual imports.
Keep Salesforce Marketing Cloud and TikTok Shop in sync without custom scripts. Cut weeks of integration work, eliminate silent data drift, and give your team a single, reliable source of truth.
Marketing runs on lists of people, but the list rarely knows which of those people are paying customers, what they ordered, or what they are worth. TikTok Shop holds exactly that: SKUs, Orders, Fulfillment packages, Inventory that record who the customer is, what they bought, and what they owe. When the two are joined only by a periodic export, campaigns go out against stale audiences, existing customers get prospecting emails, high-value accounts look the same as cold leads, and a canceled order still counts toward a segment.
Stacksync syncs SKUs, Orders, Fulfillment packages, Inventory in TikTok Shop with Journeys (Journey Builder), Content Assets (Content Builder), Automations (Automation Studio), Tracking Events in Salesforce Marketing Cloud in real time, and where both sides accept writes, in both directions. Customer, order, and invoice data maps field by field onto the contacts, audiences, or accounts Salesforce Marketing Cloud works with, so segmentation and personalization run on current purchase history instead of a month-old snapshot. Contact details and consent changes that originate in Salesforce Marketing Cloud flow back onto the record in TikTok Shop.
The strongest bridge between the two is identity and purchase history, who the customer is and what they have bought, so that is where most of the value sits. Because the sync is field-level, each system keeps the attributes the other has no use for; only the shared records are held in agreement.
A person or company's contact details corrected in either system update the other, so marketing and the back office stop maintaining separate versions of the same record.
A first order, a renewal, or a lapsed account recorded in TikTok Shop appears in Salesforce Marketing Cloud within seconds, ready to start or stop a lifecycle campaign.
Registrations, form fills, or new subscribers in Salesforce Marketing Cloud create or update the corresponding record in TikTok Shop, so the back office sees them without anyone re-keying.
Representative objects on each side — any object or custom field can map to any target. Schemas are auto-detected; types are converted between the two systems.
| Salesforce Marketing Cloud objects | TikTok Shop objects | How this pairing syncs | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Automations (Automation Studio) Scheduled or triggered workflows of import, query, extract, and send activities managed via /automation/v1/automations; SQL Query Activities read Data Views and write results into Data Extensions. | Returns and refunds After-sale records reconciled into finance and support systems. | Automations (Automation Studio) is specific to Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Returns and refunds to TikTok Shop — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Tracking Events Sent, Open, Click, Bounce, Unsubscribe, and NotSent events retrieved through the SOAP tracking objects (SentEvent, OpenEvent, ClickEvent, BounceEvent) or the Automation Studio Data Views (_Sent, _Open, _Click, _Bounce) - the queryable record of engagement per send. | Promotions Discount campaigns that affect order pricing and settlement reconciliation. | Tracking Events is specific to Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Promotions to TikTok Shop — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Transactional Sends Triggered and transactional Email/SMS delivered through the Messaging API (/messaging/v1/email/messages/{key}); the Event Notification Service reports each message's disposition (delivered, bounced, opened, clicked). | Shops The seller storefront; API access is authorized and scoped per shop. | Transactional Sends is specific to Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Shops to TikTok Shop — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Data Extensions Custom relational tables that store subscriber, audience, and arbitrary business data; rows are read via GET /data/v1/customobjectdata or SOAP Retrieve and upserted via the synchronous rowset PUT or the async /data/v1/async/dataextensions rows endpoint. This is the primary two-way surface. | Products Listings synced from a PIM or ERP catalog, subject to platform review. | Data Extensions is specific to Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Products to TikTok Shop — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Contacts / Subscribers The contact model keyed by Subscriber Key, holding channel addresses and subscription status; managed through the Contacts API (/contacts/v1/contacts) and the SOAP Subscriber object, and referenced by every send and journey. | SKUs The purchasable variants under a product; inventory and price live at this level. | Contacts / Subscribers is specific to Salesforce Marketing Cloud and SKUs to TikTok Shop — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Journeys (Journey Builder) Multi-step automated flows read and managed via /interaction/v1/interactions; contacts are injected by firing an entry event to /interaction/v1/events with an EventDefinitionKey and contact data. | Orders Purchases pulled into an OMS or ERP for fulfillment and accounting. | Journeys (Journey Builder) is specific to Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Orders to TikTok Shop — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. |
Each direction of the sync is driven by what the source system can signal and what the destination accepts — detection, delivery, and expected latency below.
DetectionSalesforce Marketing Cloud notifies Stacksync of record changes through webhook events. The Event Notification Service (ENS) issues HTTPS POST callbacks for transactional Email and SMS events (sent, bounce, open, click) once a callback.
DeliveryEach detected change is written to TikTok Shop through its API, with automatic retries and rate-limit backoff.

Yes. Stacksync provides a managed, real-time two-way integration between Salesforce Marketing Cloud and TikTok Shop: authenticate both systems, choose the objects to sync (such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud's Automations (Automation Studio) and Tracking Events), map fields visually, and changes propagate both ways in milliseconds — no code required.
Salesforce Marketing Cloud: Two APIs on tenant-specific endpoints: a REST API (JSON over HTTPS) for Data Extensions, Journeys, Contacts, Content Builder, and Automations, plus a legacy SOAP API (ExactTarget WSDL) for tracking events and bulk Retrieve. Authentication: OAuth 2.0 via an Installed Package (Client ID + Client Secret). Server-to-server uses the client_credentials grant and web apps use authorization_code, both against {subdomain}.auth.marketingcloudapis.com/v2/token. The 20-minute access token response also returns the account's rest_instance_url and soap_instance_url. TikTok Shop: REST API (TikTok Shop Open Platform). Authentication: App key and secret with shop-scoped access tokens; requests carry a signature. Stacksync manages authentication, retries, and rate limits on both sides.
TikTok Shop: Sellers authorize apps per shop, so access tokens are shop-scoped and multi-shop or multi-region sellers require separate authorizations. Salesforce Marketing Cloud: Data Extension rows are written two ways: a synchronous rowset PUT for small upserts and the async /data/v1/async/dataextensions rows endpoint that queues large inserts in the background. Stacksync's field mapping accounts for these differences between Salesforce Marketing Cloud and TikTok Shop without custom code.
