Sage 100 runs the business on structured records: Purchase Orders, GL Accounts, Journal Entries, Customers. Sharepoint holds files and the metadata that describes them: Site pages, Sites, Lists, List items. The two do not share a customer table or an order ledger. What they share is documents. Nearly every record Sage 100 touches produces a file that belongs in storage, whether an invoice, a purchase order, a statement, or a shipping doc, and many files that land in Sharepoint, from signed contracts to vendor bills to receipts, describe a transaction Sage 100 needs to record.
