Two-way sync
Changes in Pendo or SAP instantly reflect in both systems. No stale data, no manual imports.
Keep Pendo and SAP in sync without custom scripts. Cut weeks of integration work, eliminate silent data drift, and give your team a single, reliable source of truth.
ERP data is some of the most requested data for analysis and some of the hardest to pull: the record types are many, the APIs are strict, and export jobs break on every upgrade. Whether SAP carries financials, operations, workforce data, or all three, those numbers belong in Pendo, next to the product, behavioral, and web data the team already measures.
Stacksync syncs Cost Centers, Business Partners, Materials (Products), Sales Orders from SAP into Pendo continuously, handling API limits and schema drift as it goes, so each record type arrives as Poll / NPS Responses, Features / Pages / Guides (metadata), Visitors, Accounts ready to report on. The connection is bi-directional, so segments, scores, and metrics computed in Pendo can be written back to fields in SAP where that is useful.
Segments, scores, or metrics computed in Pendo sync onto the matching records in SAP, so operations act on what the analysis found.
Financial records from SAP land in Pendo as they change, so revenue, margin, and spend dashboards read current figures rather than last night's export.
Orders, invoices, and account records from SAP join the behavioral and usage data Pendo already tracks, so customer analysis spans activity and dollars in one view.
Representative objects on each side — any object or custom field can map to any target. Schemas are auto-detected; types are converted between the two systems.
| Pendo objects | SAP objects | How this pairing syncs | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Visitors End-user records with agent-collected and custom fields; queried through the Aggregation API and enriched with custom fields written back via the Metadata API. | GL Accounts and Journal Entries Financial postings replicated to warehouses for group finance analytics. | Visitors is specific to Pendo and GL Accounts and Journal Entries to SAP — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Accounts Company/workspace records that roll visitors up to an account dimension; readable via Aggregation and a write target for custom fields (plan, ARR, health) via the Metadata API. | Production Orders Manufacturing orders exchanged with MES and scheduling systems. | Accounts is specific to Pendo and Production Orders to SAP — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Feature Events Click/interaction events on tagged features, read-only through the Aggregation API over an event-time window and joined to the Feature definitions. | Inventory / Stock Plant and storage-location quantities synced to storefronts and planning tools. | Feature Events is specific to Pendo and Inventory / Stock to SAP — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Page Events Page-view events for tagged pages; read-only via the Aggregation API, used for adoption and path analysis in a warehouse. | Cost Centers Controlling masters read for mapping costs in finance integrations. | Page Events is specific to Pendo and Cost Centers to SAP — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Guide Events Guide seen/advanced/dismissed and step events for in-app walkthroughs; read-only through the Aggregation API to measure onboarding flow adoption. | Business Partners The unified customer and supplier master in S/4HANA, the anchor object for CRM and procurement syncs. | Guide Events is specific to Pendo and Business Partners to SAP — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Poll / NPS Responses Survey answers and NPS scores captured in-app (pollEvents / npsEvents); read-only via the Aggregation API as voice-of-customer data. | Materials (Products) Item master with plant and sales views, synced to commerce, PLM, and CRM systems. | Poll / NPS Responses is specific to Pendo and Materials (Products) to SAP — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. |
Each direction of the sync is driven by what the source system can signal and what the destination accepts — detection, delivery, and expected latency below.
DetectionStacksync polls Pendo for changes on an incremental schedule, reading only records changed since the previous pass. Polling - reads query the Aggregation API over event-time windows.
DeliveryEach detected change is written to SAP through its API, with automatic retries and rate-limit backoff.
DetectionSAP notifies Stacksync of record changes through webhook events. Business events via SAP Event Mesh on S/4HANA.

Real-time sync, workflow automation, event queues, EDI, and monitoring, for every Pendo–SAP connection.
Changes in Pendo or SAP instantly reflect in both systems. No stale data, no manual imports.
Trigger automated workflows whenever Pendo or SAP data changes, update records, fire webhooks, or kick off sequences without brittle API scripts.
Handle millions of events per minute without losing a single Pendo or SAP record.
Track your Pendo ⇄ SAP sync health, view errors, and replay failed events in one click.
Transform legacy EDI complexity into simple database interactions between Pendo and SAP.
Configure and sync within minutes, no code. Whether you sync 50k or 100M+ records, Stacksync handles the queues, infra, and plumbing. Integrations are non-invasive and need zero setup on your systems.
Authenticate Pendo and SAP with each platform's native method — OAuth, API keys, or service accounts — plus secure options like SSH tunneling, IP whitelisting, and VPC peering.
Pick the Pendo and SAP objects to sync — Stacksync auto-detects both schemas, including custom fields where the platform exposes them. Sync to existing tables, or let Stacksync create new ones with ideal data types.
Fields map automatically even when names and types differ. Stacksync handles transformation and type casting for you, zero configuration required.
Yes. Stacksync provides a managed, real-time two-way integration between Pendo and SAP: authenticate both systems, choose the objects to sync (such as Pendo's Visitors and Accounts), map fields visually, and changes propagate both ways in milliseconds — no code required.
Common patterns for Pendo and SAP: Write-back where SAP exposes writable fields: segments and scores return; Where SAP holds the books: revenue and finance dashboards from live data; Where SAP runs order-to-cash: customer and account analytics. Segments, scores, or metrics computed in Pendo sync onto the matching records in SAP, so operations act on what the analysis found.
Pendo: Pendo Engage API (REST) on app.pendo.io (US) / app.eu.pendo.io (EU), base path /api/v1/ - Aggregation API for reads and the Metadata API for writes. Authentication: Integration key sent in the x-pendo-integration-key header, generated in Subscription Settings; keys are scoped read-only or read/write, so writes require a read/write key. SAP: OData (v2/v4) APIs on S/4HANA; BAPI/RFC and IDoc on ECC and on-prem systems; SOAP services. Authentication: OAuth 2.0 or basic auth via communication arrangements on cloud editions; SAP user credentials for RFC on-prem. Stacksync manages authentication, retries, and rate limits on both sides.
Pendo: Pendo has no data-change webhooks; syncs poll the Aggregation API over event-time windows, and heavy queries can return 429, so wide backfills are paced and time-windowed. SAP: On ECC, writes go through BAPIs or IDocs so document flow and posting logic are enforced; direct writes to database tables are not a supported path. Stacksync's field mapping accounts for these differences between Pendo and SAP without custom code.
Stacksync is SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 certified with HIPAA BAA support. Data is encrypted in transit, and a zero-persistent-storage architecture means Pendo and SAP records are not retained after a sync operation.
Stacksync pricing is usage-based and starts at $1,000/month, including the managed Pendo and SAP connectors, real-time two-way sync, monitoring, and support. That replaces building and maintaining a custom Pendo–SAP integration in-house.
As a data company, we understand the importance of keeping your data secure. Stacksync is built with security best practices to keep your data safe at every layer, and is DPF-certified for US, EU, UK and CH data transfers.
