Pendo: Pendo Engage API (REST) on app.pendo.io (US) / app.eu.pendo.io (EU), base path /api/v1/ - Aggregation API for reads and the Metadata API for writes. Authentication: Integration key sent in the x-pendo-integration-key header, generated in Subscription Settings; keys are scoped read-only or read/write, so writes require a read/write key. Snowflake: SQL via JDBC/ODBC and native drivers, plus the Snowflake SQL REST API. Authentication: Dedicated Snowflake service user + role with RSA key-pair authentication (Stacksync-provided public key), created via a setup script requiring SECURITY_ADMIN and ACCOUNTADMIN roles. Stacksync manages authentication, retries, and rate limits on both sides.
Pendo: The only write path is the Metadata API, which sets custom Visitor and Account fields (single Set Value or bulk Set Values); it writes to writable groups such as custom and cannot create events or edit agent-collected fields. Snowflake: Views (materialized and non-materialized) are not yet supported (coming soon). Stacksync's field mapping accounts for these differences between Pendo and Snowflake without custom code.
