Two-way sync
Changes in Monday or ServiceNow instantly reflect in both systems. No stale data, no manual imports.
Keep Monday and ServiceNow in sync without custom scripts. Cut weeks of integration work, eliminate silent data drift, and give your team a single, reliable source of truth.
Two tools in the daily stack often hold overlapping information: the same people, the same companies, or the same pieces of work, described twice. The tools do different jobs, so consolidating is not the answer; the overlap just needs to stop drifting.
Stacksync syncs Workspaces, Boards, Items, Subitems in Monday with Change Requests, Problems, Service Catalog Requests, Configuration Items (CMDB) in ServiceNow in real time. You choose which records overlap, map the fields that should match, and pick a direction or let changes flow both ways. From then on, an update made in either tool is reflected in the other within seconds, without exports or copy-paste.
Because the sync is field-level, each tool keeps its own extras; only the shared data is held in agreement.
Payments, replies, messages, or tickets created in one tool can create or update matching records in the other, keeping context in one place.
Information that originates in Monday stays current in ServiceNow instead of going stale after a one-time paste.
When work started in one tool continues in the other, the shared fields travel with it automatically.
Representative objects on each side — any object or custom field can map to any target. Schemas are auto-detected; types are converted between the two systems.
| Monday objects | ServiceNow objects | How this pairing syncs | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Groups Named sections that group items inside a board; synced as a grouping attribute or category field on the row. | Problems Root-cause records linked to incidents, useful in cross-system reporting. | Groups is specific to Monday and Problems to ServiceNow — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Updates Comment and activity threads attached to items; read out into a database for reporting or written back as notes. | Service Catalog Requests Requested items and approvals that often trigger provisioning in other systems. | Updates is specific to Monday and Service Catalog Requests to ServiceNow — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Users Account members referenced by people columns; read to resolve owner and assignee IDs to names and emails. | Configuration Items (CMDB) Asset and infrastructure records synced with discovery tools and asset databases. | Users is specific to Monday and Configuration Items (CMDB) to ServiceNow — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Workspaces Top-level containers that hold boards; used to scope which boards a given sync covers. | Users and Groups Sys_user and group tables synced with HR systems and identity providers. | Workspaces is specific to Monday and Users and Groups to ServiceNow — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Boards Table-like containers that hold items; each board maps to a synced table, and its columns define the field mapping. | Tasks The base task table that incidents, changes, and requests extend. | Boards is specific to Monday and Tasks to ServiceNow — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Items Rows within a board and the primary record; synced two-way and created, updated, archived, or deleted via GraphQL mutations. | Knowledge Articles Support content that can be mirrored to help centers or search indexes. | Items is specific to Monday and Knowledge Articles to ServiceNow — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. |
Each direction of the sync is driven by what the source system can signal and what the destination accepts — detection, delivery, and expected latency below.
DetectionMonday notifies Stacksync of record changes through webhook events. Board-scoped webhooks (create_item, change_column_value, item_deleted, and similar) for real-time events.
DeliveryEach detected change is written to ServiceNow through its API, with automatic retries and rate-limit backoff.
DetectionStacksync polls ServiceNow for changes on an incremental schedule, reading only records changed since the previous pass. Polling on sys_updated_on timestamps.
DeliveryEach detected change is written to Monday through its API, with automatic retries and rate-limit backoff.
Real-time sync, workflow automation, event queues, EDI, and monitoring, for every Monday–ServiceNow connection.
Changes in Monday or ServiceNow instantly reflect in both systems. No stale data, no manual imports.
Trigger automated workflows whenever Monday or ServiceNow data changes, update records, fire webhooks, or kick off sequences without brittle API scripts.
Handle millions of events per minute without losing a single Monday or ServiceNow record.

Transform legacy EDI complexity into simple database interactions between Monday and ServiceNow.
Configure and sync within minutes, no code. Whether you sync 50k or 100M+ records, Stacksync handles the queues, infra, and plumbing. Integrations are non-invasive and need zero setup on your systems.
Authenticate Monday and ServiceNow with each platform's native method — OAuth, API keys, or service accounts — plus secure options like SSH tunneling, IP whitelisting, and VPC peering.
Pick the Monday and ServiceNow objects to sync — Stacksync auto-detects both schemas, including custom fields where the platform exposes them. Sync to existing tables, or let Stacksync create new ones with ideal data types.
Fields map automatically even when names and types differ. Stacksync handles transformation and type casting for you, zero configuration required.
Yes. Stacksync provides a managed, real-time two-way integration between Monday and ServiceNow: authenticate both systems, choose the objects to sync (such as Monday's Groups and Updates), map fields visually, and changes propagate both ways in milliseconds — no code required.
Yes. Each object mapping can be bidirectional or restricted to a single direction (both systems accept writes). Read-only mirrors, one-way pushes, and full two-way sync can be mixed in the same integration.
Common patterns for Monday and ServiceNow: Where one tool produces events: mirror them in the other; Where ServiceNow is where the team documents or plans: keep its data fed; Handoffs between teams. Payments, replies, messages, or tickets created in one tool can create or update matching records in the other, keeping context in one place.
Monday: GraphQL API (single endpoint, api.monday.com/v2). Authentication: OAuth 2.0 for installed apps, or a per-user personal API token (admin/member scope); a date-based API version is sent via request header. ServiceNow: REST API (Table, Import Set, and Aggregate APIs); SOAP remains for legacy integrations. Authentication: OAuth 2.0 or basic authentication against the instance. Stacksync manages authentication, retries, and rate limits on both sides.
Monday: Rate limiting is complexity-based, not request-count based: each query has a complexity cost capped at 5M per call and ~10M per minute per user token (1M on trial/free). ServiceNow: Business logic (business rules, ACLs) runs on API writes just as it does in the UI, so synced writes respect instance rules. Stacksync's field mapping accounts for these differences between Monday and ServiceNow without custom code.
Stacksync is SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 certified with HIPAA BAA support. Data is encrypted in transit, and a zero-persistent-storage architecture means Monday and ServiceNow records are not retained after a sync operation.
