Why teams connect Egnyte and SuiteAnalytics

Move the documents and data that SuiteAnalytics produces into Egnyte as files, and let files stored in Egnyte update the records they belong to in SuiteAnalytics, continuously and without exports or manual filing.

SuiteAnalytics is a read-only source: Stacksync reads its data in real time and delivers it into Egnyte, so Egnyte always reflects the current state of SuiteAnalytics — without exports, scripts, or schedulers.

SuiteAnalytics runs the business on structured records: Account, Accounting Period, Bin Transfer, Currency Rate. Egnyte holds files and the metadata that describes them: Events and Audit reports, Files, Folders, Users. The two do not share a customer table or an order ledger. What they share is documents. Nearly every record SuiteAnalytics touches produces a file that belongs in storage, whether an invoice, a purchase order, a statement, or a shipping doc, and many files that land in Egnyte, from signed contracts to vendor bills to receipts, describe a transaction SuiteAnalytics needs to record. Left unconnected, that link is maintained by hand: someone exports a PDF and drags it into a folder, or downloads a file and keys its details into a record.

The result is that a transaction and the document that backs it stay together. Finance, operations, and audit teams find the file behind a record without digging through folders, and the record in SuiteAnalytics and the file in Egnyte never describe two different versions of the same document.

Common use cases

  • 01 Join ERP data with CRM data in Postgres for quote-to-cash and revenue visibility
  • 02 Give internal tools a read replica of item and inventory data without hitting SuiteScript governance limits
  • 03 Provision and deprovision Egnyte Users and Groups from an HRIS or IdP so folder access follows employee onboarding and offboarding.
  • 04 Two-way sync of Files and Folders between Egnyte and an operational database or another content store, keeping the folder hierarchy aligned.

Common sync patterns

An archive that stays current

As records change in SuiteAnalytics, the corresponding files and metadata in Egnyte are kept in step, so a stored document reflects the latest version rather than a stale one-time export.

Audit-ready retention

Every transaction's supporting file lives in Egnyte beside its metadata, giving finance and audit teams a complete, searchable trail tied back to the record in SuiteAnalytics.

Documents filed with their context

Files that SuiteAnalytics produces land in Egnyte labeled with the customer, document type, and reference number they belong to, so the right copy is one search away instead of buried in a folder.

What you can sync between Egnyte and SuiteAnalytics

Representative objects on each side — any object or custom field can map to any target. Schemas are auto-detected; types are converted between the two systems.

Egnyte objects SuiteAnalytics objects How this pairing syncs
Links Shared file and folder links created, listed, and revoked via the Links API; useful for governing and auditing external sharing. Term Synced with incremental and full sync per the Stacksync docs. Links is specific to Egnyte and Term to SuiteAnalytics — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side.
Metadata Custom metadata keys and project fields on files/folders via the Metadata API; written for classification and read back for reporting. Subsidiary Synced with incremental and full sync per the Stacksync docs. Metadata is specific to Egnyte and Subsidiary to SuiteAnalytics — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side.
Events and Audit reports File, login, permission, and sharing activity read via the Events API and Audit Reporting API; consumed read-only for compliance. All custom objects Synced with incremental and full sync per the Stacksync docs. Events and Audit reports is specific to Egnyte and All custom objects to SuiteAnalytics — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side.
Files File content managed via the fs-content endpoint (upload/download, chunked for large files); synced two-way with other stores. Nexus Synced with incremental and full sync per the Stacksync docs. Files is specific to Egnyte and Nexus to SuiteAnalytics — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side.
Folders Folder hierarchy managed via the fs endpoint (create, move, rename, delete); the tree structure is mirrored during sync. Tax Type Synced with incremental and full sync per the Stacksync docs. Folders is specific to Egnyte and Tax Type to SuiteAnalytics — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side.
Users Accounts managed via the Users API; provisioned, updated, and deactivated in sync with an HRIS or identity provider. Sales Tax Item Synced with incremental and full sync per the Stacksync docs. Users is specific to Egnyte and Sales Tax Item to SuiteAnalytics — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side.

How changes propagate between Egnyte and SuiteAnalytics

Each direction of the sync is driven by what the source system can signal and what the destination accepts — detection, delivery, and expected latency below.

Egnyte SuiteAnalytics Sub-second propagation

DetectionEgnyte notifies Stacksync of record changes through webhook events. Events API polled with an incremental cursor (Egnyte recommends an interval of 5 minutes or more), or Webhooks push notifications for fs, metadata,.

DeliverySuiteAnalytics does not accept inbound record writes, so this direction carries requests rather than records: SuiteAnalytics's output flows back as field updates on the originating Egnyte records.

SuiteAnalytics Egnyte Interval-based propagation

DetectionStacksync polls SuiteAnalytics for changes on an incremental schedule, reading only records changed since the previous pass.

DeliveryEach detected change is written to Egnyte through its API, with automatic retries and rate-limit backoff.

Rate-limit considerations

  • Egnyte: Auto-generated keys default to 2 requests/second and 1,000 requests/day, enforced per access token; monitor X-Accesstoken-Qps-Current/Allotted and X-Accesstoken-Quota-Current headers; higher limits on request.
  • SuiteAnalytics: Concurrency and query load are governed by the NetSuite account's Connect service allowances rather than per-request rate limits.
