Common patterns for ConnectWise and Vitally: Where ConnectWise supplies contact or company data; Where ConnectWise processes payments; Where ConnectWise can store CRM context: fields kept current. Enriched fields land directly on records in Vitally, and refreshes keep them from going stale.
ConnectWise: REST API. Authentication: Public/private API key pair for an API member, combined with a registered clientId, sent via Basic authentication. Vitally: REST API with cursor-based pagination (sortable by createdAt/updatedAt). Authentication: API key via Basic Auth; keys created in Settings -> Integrations -> REST API and individually revocable. Stacksync manages authentication, retries, and rate limits on both sides.
ConnectWise: Callbacks let integrations subscribe to create, update, and delete events on specific record types instead of polling. Vitally: Default rate limiting is 1,000 requests/min using a token bucket; write requests consume more budget. Stacksync's field mapping accounts for these differences between ConnectWise and Vitally without custom code.
