Two-way sync
Changes in ConnectWise or Microsoft 365 instantly reflect in both systems. No stale data, no manual imports.
Keep ConnectWise and Microsoft 365 in sync without custom scripts. Cut weeks of integration work, eliminate silent data drift, and give your team a single, reliable source of truth.
Two tools in the daily stack often hold overlapping information: the same people, the same companies, or the same pieces of work, described twice. The tools do different jobs, so consolidating is not the answer; the overlap just needs to stop drifting.
Stacksync syncs Companies, Contacts, Service Tickets, Opportunities in ConnectWise with Mail Messages, Calendar Events, Contacts, OneDrive Files (driveItems) in Microsoft 365 in real time. You choose which records overlap, map the fields that should match, and pick a direction or let changes flow both ways. From then on, an update made in either tool is reflected in the other within seconds, without exports or copy-paste.
Because the sync is field-level, each tool keeps its own extras; only the shared data is held in agreement.
Payments, replies, messages, or tickets created in one tool can create or update matching records in the other, keeping context in one place.
Information that originates in ConnectWise stays current in Microsoft 365 instead of going stale after a one-time paste.
When work started in one tool continues in the other, the shared fields travel with it automatically.
Representative objects on each side — any object or custom field can map to any target. Schemas are auto-detected; types are converted between the two systems.
| ConnectWise objects | Microsoft 365 objects | How this pairing syncs | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Contacts People attached to companies, commonly synced against CRM contact records. | Contacts Personal and org contacts kept consistent with CRM contact records. | Same entity on both sides — records pair one-to-one and field-level changes reconcile in both directions. | |
| Invoices Billing records reconciled against accounting systems. | OneDrive Files (driveItems) File and folder metadata synced for document workflows and audits. | Invoices is specific to ConnectWise and OneDrive Files (driveItems) to Microsoft 365 — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Configurations Managed devices and assets tied to companies, useful for asset inventory syncs. | SharePoint Sites & Lists List items read and written like lightweight database tables. | Configurations is specific to ConnectWise and SharePoint Sites & Lists to Microsoft 365 — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Members Internal users and technicians referenced by tickets and time entries. | Teams Team and membership data provisioned from upstream systems. | Members is specific to ConnectWise and Teams to Microsoft 365 — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Activities Sales and service activity records synced for engagement reporting. | Planner & To Do Tasks Task items synced with project and work-management tools. | Activities is specific to ConnectWise and Planner & To Do Tasks to Microsoft 365 — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Companies Client and prospect account records that anchor most other PSA data in a sync. | Users Entra ID user accounts synced with HR and identity systems. | Companies is specific to ConnectWise and Users to Microsoft 365 — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. |
Each direction of the sync is driven by what the source system can signal and what the destination accepts — detection, delivery, and expected latency below.
DetectionConnectWise notifies Stacksync of record changes through webhook events. Callbacks (webhooks) on record changes, supplemented by polling on last-updated fields.
DeliveryEach detected change is written to Microsoft 365 through its API, with automatic retries and rate-limit backoff.

Yes. Stacksync provides a managed, real-time two-way integration between ConnectWise and Microsoft 365: authenticate both systems, choose the objects to sync (such as ConnectWise's Contacts and Invoices), map fields visually, and changes propagate both ways in milliseconds — no code required.
Yes. Each object mapping can be bidirectional or restricted to a single direction (both systems accept writes). Read-only mirrors, one-way pushes, and full two-way sync can be mixed in the same integration.
Common patterns for ConnectWise and Microsoft 365: Where one tool produces events: mirror them in the other; Where Microsoft 365 is where the team documents or plans: keep its data fed; Handoffs between teams. Payments, replies, messages, or tickets created in one tool can create or update matching records in the other, keeping context in one place.
ConnectWise: REST API. Authentication: Public/private API key pair for an API member, combined with a registered clientId, sent via Basic authentication. Microsoft 365: REST API (Microsoft Graph). Authentication: OAuth 2.0 via Microsoft Entra ID, with delegated or application permissions. Stacksync manages authentication, retries, and rate limits on both sides.
ConnectWise: List endpoints support a conditions query parameter for server-side filtering on field values, which reduces sync payloads. Microsoft 365: Access is scoped per permission via Entra ID admin consent, so an integration only sees the workloads it was granted. Stacksync's field mapping accounts for these differences between ConnectWise and Microsoft 365 without custom code.
