Sysaid and Box hold different kinds of data. Sysaid carries records and the activity around them — the tickets, messages, orders, or issues a team works through, often with documents attached. Box holds files and the metadata that describes them. Where the two meet is narrow but real: much of what Sysaid produces has to be kept somewhere durable, and many of the files Box stores are the very documents Sysaid's records point to.

Records and attachments created in Sysaid are written into Box as objects or files within seconds of being created. Authentication: OAuth 2.0 for user-delegated access, or server-to-server auth via JWT (RSA keypair) or Client Credentials Grant (CCG) using a Box app; short-lived developer tokens for testing. Sysaid: REST API (JSON). Authentication: Client-credentials app keys: an application key (clientId/clientSecret) is created via /v1/application-keys, then exchanged at /v1/access-tokens for a bearer token (default 24h, up to 30 days); an x-sysaid-accountid header scopes the account. Legacy V0 uses session-cookie login. Stacksync manages authentication, retries, and rate limits on both sides.
Sysaid: The v1 API authenticates with client-credentials app keys, and each organization is limited to 100 application keys, so an integration should reuse a single key. Box: The user Events API is consumed with a stream_position and long-polling; enterprise/admin events retain roughly one year of history and can lag strict ordering for near-real-time reads. Stacksync's field mapping accounts for these differences between Box and Sysaid without custom code.
