Sysaid and Amazon S3 hold different kinds of data. Sysaid carries records and the activity around them — the tickets, messages, orders, or issues a team works through, often with documents attached. Amazon S3 holds files and the metadata that describes them. Where the two meet is narrow but real: much of what Sysaid produces has to be kept somewhere durable, and many of the files Amazon S3 stores are the very documents Sysaid's records point to.

Authentication: AWS IAM credentials — an access key ID and secret access key signed with AWS Signature Version 4; supports temporary STS credentials and cross-account IAM roles. Authentication: Client-credentials app keys: an application key (clientId/clientSecret) is created via /v1/application-keys, then exchanged at /v1/access-tokens for a bearer token (default 24h, up to 30 days); an x-sysaid-accountid header scopes the account. Amazon S3: Objects can be up to 5 TB, but a single PUT is capped at 5 GB, so larger files must use multipart upload, and objects in Glacier storage classes must be restored before their bytes can be read. Stacksync's field mapping accounts for these differences between Amazon S3 and Sysaid without custom code.
