Two-way sync
Changes in Jumpcloud or Rootstock ERP instantly reflect in both systems. No stale data, no manual imports.
Keep Jumpcloud and Rootstock ERP in sync without custom scripts. Cut weeks of integration work, eliminate silent data drift, and give your team a single, reliable source of truth.
An ERP and an identity system describe the same workforce from two angles. Rootstock ERP holds the authoritative record of who works at the company, and often their department, title, manager, and cost center. Jumpcloud controls the accounts, groups, and access those same people use every day. When the two aren't connected, every hire, transfer, and departure has to be keyed twice, and the window between someone leaving in Rootstock ERP and their account still being active in Jumpcloud is a real security exposure.
Stacksync syncs Work Orders, Purchase Orders, Items / Products, Bills of Material in Rootstock ERP with System Users (Users), User Groups, Systems (devices), System Groups in Jumpcloud in real time, with field-level mapping and conflict resolution in place of CSV exports and nightly jobs. A new hire, a department change, or a termination propagates within seconds, and where you want changes to flow both ways — the ERP's org data into the directory, account status back into the ERP — the same mapping handles it.
That matters most at offboarding and audit time. When the directory reflects the ERP's current headcount and org structure, disabling access no longer depends on someone remembering to update a second system, and access reviews start from a roster both sides already agree on.
A person added in one system gets a matching account or record in the other automatically, so a new hire can be granted access without anyone re-keying their details.
When a person is marked terminated or inactive in one system, the matching account is disabled in the other within seconds, closing the gap that leaves ex-employees with live access.
A name, email, title, manager, or department corrected in either system updates the other, so directory entries and employee records don't drift apart.
Representative objects on each side — any object or custom field can map to any target. Schemas are auto-detected; types are converted between the two systems.
| Jumpcloud objects | Rootstock ERP objects | How this pairing syncs | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Systems (devices) Enrolled macOS, Windows, and Linux machines running the JumpCloud agent; agent-enrolled, so the API reads, updates, and deletes systems for inventory and management rather than creating them. | Work Orders Manufacturing execution records synced to MES, scheduling, and analytics tools. | Systems (devices) is specific to Jumpcloud and Work Orders to Rootstock ERP — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| System Groups Device groups used to scope policies, commands, and access; full CRUD via v2 /systemgroups, with systems bound and unbound through association endpoints. | Purchase Orders Procurement documents synced with supplier portals and AP systems. | System Groups is specific to Jumpcloud and Purchase Orders to Rootstock ERP — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Applications (SSO) SAML and OIDC SSO app configs; read via v2 /applications and their user/group assignments created and removed to control who can reach each connected app. | Items / Products The manufacturing item master, kept aligned with e-commerce and PLM systems. | Applications (SSO) is specific to Jumpcloud and Items / Products to Rootstock ERP — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Policies Device configuration and MDM policies; read, created from templates, and updated via v2 /policies, then bound to systems and system groups to enforce settings across the fleet. | Bills of Material Multi-level product structures read for costing and planning integrations. | Policies is specific to Jumpcloud and Bills of Material to Rootstock ERP — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Commands Scripts and commands run on managed systems; full CRUD via v1 /commands, then triggered on target systems and groups for automation and remediation. | Inventory Balances On-hand quantities by site and location, synced to storefronts and WMS. | Commands is specific to Jumpcloud and Inventory Balances to Rootstock ERP — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Directory Insights events Audit stream of logins and admin actions across SSO, LDAP, RADIUS, systems, and MDM; read-only, queried by POST and used as the change feed and SIEM source. | Receipts and Shipments Inbound and outbound transactions synced to logistics and 3PL systems. | Directory Insights events is specific to Jumpcloud and Receipts and Shipments to Rootstock ERP — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. |
Each direction of the sync is driven by what the source system can signal and what the destination accepts — detection, delivery, and expected latency below.
DetectionJumpcloud notifies Stacksync of record changes through webhook events. No database-style change log.
DeliveryEach detected change is written to Rootstock ERP through its API, with automatic retries and rate-limit backoff.
DetectionChanges in Rootstock ERP are captured at the source via change data capture — no polling loop against its API. Salesforce Change Data Capture on Rootstock custom objects where enabled (entity selection limits apply).
DeliveryEach detected change is written to Jumpcloud through its API, with automatic retries and rate-limit backoff.

Pick the Jumpcloud and Rootstock ERP objects to sync — Stacksync auto-detects both schemas, including custom fields where the platform exposes them. Sync to existing tables, or let Stacksync create new ones with ideal data types.
Fields map automatically even when names and types differ. Stacksync handles transformation and type casting for you, zero configuration required.
Yes. Stacksync provides a managed, real-time two-way integration between Jumpcloud and Rootstock ERP: authenticate both systems, choose the objects to sync (such as Jumpcloud's Systems (devices) and System Groups), map fields visually, and changes propagate both ways in milliseconds — no code required.
Change detection on Jumpcloud: No database-style change log. The Directory Insights API is queried by POST for login and admin events across SSO, LDAP, RADIUS, systems, MDM, and directory services - including the association_change event that records user-to-group and policy-to-device membership changes; Webhook Channels tied to Insights Rules POST JSON to a registered endpoint for near-real-time triggers. On Rootstock ERP: Salesforce Change Data Capture on Rootstock custom objects where enabled (entity selection limits apply); SOQL polling on SystemModstamp as fallback. Each detected change propagates to the other side in milliseconds, with field-level conflict resolution and an inspectable event log.
On the Rootstock ERP side: Work Orders, Purchase Orders, Items / Products, Bills of Material, plus custom fields where Rootstock ERP exposes them. On the Jumpcloud side: System Users (Users), User Groups, Systems (devices), System Groups. Stacksync auto-detects both schemas and converts types between the two systems.
Yes. Each object mapping can be bidirectional or restricted to a single direction (both systems accept writes). Read-only mirrors, one-way pushes, and full two-way sync can be mixed in the same integration.
Common patterns for Jumpcloud and Rootstock ERP: Create accounts from new records; Disable access at offboarding; Keep profile attributes current. A person added in one system gets a matching account or record in the other automatically, so a new hire can be granted access without anyone re-keying their details.
Jumpcloud: JumpCloud REST API - v1 (console.jumpcloud.com/api) for Systems, System Users, and Commands; v2 (/api/v2) for User Groups, System Groups, Applications, Policies, and resource associations; plus the Directory Insights API (api.jumpcloud.com/insights/directory/v1/events) and Webhook Channels for outbound events. Authentication: Admin API key sent in the x-api-key header (keys are prefixed jca_, generated in the console with a 30-365 day expiry, and disabled for admins by default until enabled); an x-org-id header scopes calls to a single organization for MSP multi-tenant admins. System Context authorization (HMAC-signed) also exists for agent-run calls. Rootstock ERP: Salesforce Platform APIs (REST, SOAP, Bulk) — Rootstock data lives in Salesforce custom objects. Authentication: OAuth 2.0 (standard Salesforce connected app flows). Stacksync manages authentication, retries, and rate limits on both sides.
