Two-way sync
Changes in Gong or Splunk instantly reflect in both systems. No stale data, no manual imports.
Keep Gong and Splunk in sync without custom scripts. Cut weeks of integration work, eliminate silent data drift, and give your team a single, reliable source of truth.
Splunk turns data into dashboards, cohorts, and metrics; Gong is where customers, contacts, deals, and activity actually live and change. The two meet wherever a number is really about a specific account, segment, or stage — yet most teams feed the CRM into analytics as a nightly extract or a hand-maintained connector, so the reporting lags the business and can't be sliced by the customers and segments that matter.
Stacksync syncs Data Privacy (Erasure), Calls, Transcripts, Users from Gong into Splunk field by field and within seconds, so every dashboard and cohort runs on current records instead of a stale copy. Because the connection runs both ways, the cohorts, scores, and metrics computed in Splunk write back to fields in Gong, landing where the people working accounts can see them. You decide which system owns which fields; Stacksync keeps every copy consistent and resolves conflicts by rules you set.
The same account or person is keyed consistently in both systems, so a profile or row in Splunk lines up with the contact or account in Gong.
A continuously synced copy of Gong's records and activity in Splunk keeps a queryable history even as records change or age out of the CRM.
Accounts, contacts, deals, and activity from Gong sync into Splunk, so metrics and dashboards group by real customers, segments, and stage instead of anonymous IDs.
Representative objects on each side — any object or custom field can map to any target. Schemas are auto-detected; types are converted between the two systems.
| Gong objects | Splunk objects | How this pairing syncs | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Interaction Stats (Activity) Aggregated talk/listen ratios, interaction stats, and day-by-day user activity retrieved via POST /v2/stats endpoints; read out for coaching and engagement reporting. Read-only. | HTTP Event Collector The write-in path: POST events and metrics to /services/collector (port 8088, or 443 on Splunk Cloud) authenticated with a per-input HEC token, so external records are indexed alongside logs for search and correlation. | Interaction Stats (Activity) is specific to Gong and HTTP Event Collector to Splunk — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Trackers & Scorecards Keyword and topic tracker definitions plus coaching scorecards, including answered scorecards, read from Settings as coaching and deal-risk signals. Read-only. | Users and Roles Accounts at /services/authentication/users and role/capability definitions at /services/authorization/roles, with full CRUD; exported for access reviews or provisioned from an identity source of truth. | Trackers & Scorecards is specific to Gong and Users and Roles to Splunk — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| CRM Objects Accounts, opportunities, stages, and users uploaded into Gong through the CRM integration API so CRM context appears alongside conversations. Write (upload) path. | Dashboards Simple XML dashboard and view definitions at /servicesNS/{owner}/{app}/data/ui/views; exported for backup and audit, or created and updated programmatically from version control. | CRM Objects is specific to Gong and Dashboards to Splunk — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Library Call-library folders and folder content (curated calls and snippets) read via GET /v2/library/folders and /v2/library/folder-content. Read-only. | Search Results SPL searches dispatched via POST /services/search/jobs return a search ID (SID); results are pulled from /services/search/jobs/{sid}/results once the job completes, or synchronously via oneshot/export mode. The primary read path for streaming indexed events out to a warehouse. | Library is specific to Gong and Search Results to Splunk — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Data Privacy (Erasure) GDPR/CCPA deletion handled by POST /v2/data-privacy/erase-data-for-email, with data-for-email lookups on the read side; a write path used for compliance deletions. | Saved Searches Scheduled searches, reports, and the definitions behind alerts at /services/saved/searches with full create, update, and delete. Read out for governance and coverage review, or provisioned and updated from a config source. | Data Privacy (Erasure) is specific to Gong and Saved Searches to Splunk — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Calls Retrieved via POST /v2/calls/extensive with participants, topics, trackers, scorecards, and media URLs, filtered by fromDateTime/toDateTime; external recordings are also imported via POST /v2/calls with media uploaded via PUT /v2/calls/{id}/media. Read and write. | Fired Alerts Triggered alert instances listed at /services/alerts/fired_alerts; alert configuration (conditions, schedule, actions) lives on the corresponding saved search. Landed in a database for alert-trend and detection-coverage reporting. | Calls is specific to Gong and Fired Alerts to Splunk — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. |
Each direction of the sync is driven by what the source system can signal and what the destination accepts — detection, delivery, and expected latency below.
DetectionStacksync polls Gong for changes on an incremental schedule, reading only records changed since the previous pass. Polling POST /v2/calls/extensive on fromDateTime/toDateTime.
DeliveryEach detected change is written to Splunk through its API, with automatic retries and rate-limit backoff.
DetectionSplunk notifies Stacksync of record changes through webhook events. Time-range searches over indexed events (earliest/latest on _time or _indextime).

Pick the Gong and Splunk objects to sync — Stacksync auto-detects both schemas, including custom fields where the platform exposes them. Sync to existing tables, or let Stacksync create new ones with ideal data types.
Fields map automatically even when names and types differ. Stacksync handles transformation and type casting for you, zero configuration required.
Yes. Stacksync provides a managed, real-time two-way integration between Gong and Splunk: authenticate both systems, choose the objects to sync (such as Gong's Interaction Stats (Activity) and Trackers & Scorecards), map fields visually, and changes propagate both ways in milliseconds — no code required.
Stacksync is SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 certified with HIPAA BAA support. Data is encrypted in transit, and a zero-persistent-storage architecture means Gong and Splunk records are not retained after a sync operation.
Stacksync pricing is usage-based and starts at $1,000/month, including the managed Gong and Splunk connectors, real-time two-way sync, monitoring, and support. That replaces building and maintaining a custom Gong–Splunk integration in-house.
Yes — Stacksync ships production-grade connectors for both Gong and Splunk. The connectors handle authentication, schema detection, rate limits, and retries; you configure the sync, and Stacksync operates it.
Change detection on Gong: Polling POST /v2/calls/extensive on fromDateTime/toDateTime; the public API exposes no outbound webhooks or CDC, though a Gong admin can configure a product-side automation Rule that POSTs matching calls to a URL. Transcripts and analysis appear only after asynchronous processing. On Splunk: Time-range searches over indexed events (earliest/latest on _time or _indextime); events are immutable once indexed, so incremental extraction advances a time cursor rather than a modified-date CDC feed. Config objects such as saved searches and KV Store are polled; alerts can push via a saved-search webhook action. Each detected change propagates to the other side in milliseconds, with field-level conflict resolution and an inspectable event log.
On the Splunk side: Fired Alerts, KV Store Collections, Indexes, HTTP Event Collector, plus custom fields where Splunk exposes them. On the Gong side: Data Privacy (Erasure), Calls, Transcripts, Users. Stacksync auto-detects both schemas and converts types between the two systems.
