DetectionStacksync polls Vertica for changes on an incremental schedule, reading only records changed since the previous pass. No exposed transaction-log CDC.

Rate-limit considerations

  • Cvent: Responses carry X-RateLimit-Limit/Remaining/Reset headers; a 429 signals either the per-second limit (retry with exponential backoff from ~2s) or the daily quota (up to 500,000 calls/day on the Premium tier, 1,000/day on Free) exhausted until midnight UTC.
  • Vertica: No API rate limits; throughput is bounded by cluster resources, and bulk COPY is preferred over row-by-row writes.
