Authentication: OAuth 2.0 client-credentials flow: a client ID and secret are Basic-auth exchanged for a 60-minute bearer token at api-platform.cvent.com/ea/oauth2/token; legacy API-key and SOAP/CSN auth are deprecated. Exasol: SQL over JDBC/ODBC drivers and a WebSocket-based client protocol. Authentication: Database credentials (username and password). Stacksync manages authentication, retries, and rate limits on both sides.
Exasol: Virtual schemas let Exasol query external sources in place, which affects whether data needs to be physically synced at all. Cvent: Rate limits are tiered (Free at 1,000 calls/day up to Premium at 500,000 calls/day) and enforced both per-second and as a daily quota that resets at midnight UTC, returning 429 on exhaustion. Stacksync's field mapping accounts for these differences between Cvent and Exasol without custom code.
