Two-way sync
Changes in Ceridian Dayforce or Xactly instantly reflect in both systems. No stale data, no manual imports.
Keep Ceridian Dayforce and Xactly in sync without custom scripts. Cut weeks of integration work, eliminate silent data drift, and give your team a single, reliable source of truth.
Xactly runs on people as much as on accounts: every contact, deal, and account has an owner, and those owners are employees whose roles, teams, and status are held in Ceridian Dayforce. Ceridian Dayforce is the system of record for the workforce, from new hires to promotions to departures, and often for the candidates the business is still deciding on. When the two systems are connected only by re-keying or an overnight export, they drift apart, and the CRM ends up assigning accounts to people who have left, holding territories that no longer match the org chart, and waiting days to give a new rep access.
Stacksync syncs Orders, Credits, Transactions (Commission & Bonus), Participants (Payees) in Xactly with Employee (HR / Person Details), Employment Status, Work Assignments, Compensation Summary & Pay Adjustments in Ceridian Dayforce field by field, in real time, and in both directions. You decide which system owns which fields, so Ceridian Dayforce stays authoritative on roles and org structure while Xactly keeps ownership and territory current, and Stacksync resolves conflicts by the rules you set.
A person's name, title, email, phone, or manager corrected in either system updates the other, so both stop maintaining separate copies of the same individual.
A person recorded in Ceridian Dayforce, such as a candidate or applicant, can create or update the matching contact in Xactly, so relationship history and outreach are not rebuilt from scratch when the same individual appears in both.
When Ceridian Dayforce records a new hire, a matching user or owner is created in Xactly, so a new rep can start working accounts without waiting on a manual setup ticket.
Representative objects on each side — any object or custom field can map to any target. Schemas are auto-detected; types are converted between the two systems.
| Ceridian Dayforce objects | Xactly objects | How this pairing syncs | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Org Units, Departments, Jobs & Positions Configuration reference data; POST creates org units and departments and PATCH updates job, position, department, and org-unit data. Used to resolve and validate XRefCodes when mapping employee writes. | Participants (Payees) Sales reps and payees keyed to positions; loaded and updated from HRIS/HCM source data through Connect (write) and read for roster reporting, so read and write. | Org Units, Departments, Jobs & Positions is specific to Ceridian Dayforce and Participants (Payees) to Xactly — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Time Away From Work & Balances Time-off requests and accrual balances read per employee; pulled into scheduling, payroll, or absence-reporting databases and used to reconcile leave against downstream systems. | Positions & Titles Org-hierarchy positions and titles that credits and quotas roll up to; loaded and maintained through Connect (write) and read to resolve the hierarchy, so read and write. | Time Away From Work & Balances is specific to Ceridian Dayforce and Positions & Titles to Xactly — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Employee (HR / Person Details) Core worker record keyed by XRefCode; GET Employees returns matching XRefCodes, then a per-employee GET fetches full HR details. New hires are added with POST and edits made with PATCH, so it is read and write. | Quotas / Targets Period quota and target values per position or plan; loaded from planning tools through Connect (write) and read for attainment reporting, so read and write. | Employee (HR / Person Details) is specific to Ceridian Dayforce and Quotas / Targets to Xactly — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Employment Status Effective-dated employment status and type (active, leave, terminated) that drives active/terminated state for downstream provisioning; read, and writable as new dated status records. | Payment Summary (Payable) Approved payable amounts per participant per period; read as the output that feeds payroll and accounts payable, so effectively read-only. | Employment Status is specific to Ceridian Dayforce and Payment Summary (Payable) to Xactly — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Work Assignments Effective-dated position, department, location, and org-unit assignment; the most-synced record for org charts, provisioning, and analytics. Read and updatable via PATCH. | Products & Customers Product and customer/account master used in crediting rules and reporting; loaded and updated from CRM/ERP through Connect (write) and read for lookups, so read and write. | Work Assignments is specific to Ceridian Dayforce and Products & Customers to Xactly — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Compensation Summary & Pay Adjustments Compensation Summary returns pay rate and frequency for reporting; Employee Pay Adjustments are written as effective-dated records via PATCH to post pay changes back to Dayforce. | Orders Sales order and transaction records loaded into Incent as the raw input for crediting and calculation; created and updated through Connect load and ETL steps (write) and read back for reconciliation, so read and write. | Compensation Summary & Pay Adjustments is specific to Ceridian Dayforce and Orders to Xactly — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. |
Each direction of the sync is driven by what the source system can signal and what the destination accepts — detection, delivery, and expected latency below.
DetectionCeridian Dayforce notifies Stacksync of record changes through webhook events. No CDC stream.
DeliveryEach detected change is applied to Xactly as a row-level write, with types converted between the two schemas.
DetectionStacksync polls Xactly for changes on an incremental schedule, reading only records changed since the previous pass. No CDC log for external tools to consume.
DeliveryEach detected change is written to Ceridian Dayforce through its API, with automatic retries and rate-limit backoff.
Real-time sync, workflow automation, event queues, EDI, and monitoring, for every Ceridian Dayforce–Xactly connection.

Yes. Stacksync provides a managed, real-time two-way integration between Ceridian Dayforce and Xactly: authenticate both systems, choose the objects to sync (such as Ceridian Dayforce's Org Units, Departments, Jobs & Positions and Time Away From Work & Balances), map fields visually, and changes propagate both ways in milliseconds — no code required.
Stacksync pricing is usage-based and starts at $1,000/month, including the managed Ceridian Dayforce and Xactly connectors, real-time two-way sync, monitoring, and support. That replaces building and maintaining a custom Ceridian Dayforce–Xactly integration in-house.
Yes — Stacksync ships production-grade connectors for both Ceridian Dayforce and Xactly. The connectors handle authentication, schema detection, rate limits, and retries; you configure the sync, and Stacksync operates it.
Change detection on Ceridian Dayforce: No CDC stream. Broad change detection uses delta polling on GET Employees with filterUpdatedStartDate/filterUpdatedEndDate and filterUpdatedEntities to pull only records changed in a window. Dayforce also has native Event Notifications (the Notification Publisher) for lifecycle events — hire, rehire, terminate, and workflow validation — delivered by push to a receiver service or by querying unacknowledged notifications; the publisher runs roughly hourly and each notification must be acknowledged. On Xactly: No CDC log for external tools to consume. Incremental sync uses SQL predicates on modified/last-updated timestamp columns (for example WHERE modified_date > watermark) against Connect's queryable objects, or scheduled Connect ETL Pipelines that pull deltas since the last run. Xactly Connect has no outbound HTTP webhooks, so change detection is pull/ETL-based. Each detected change propagates to the other side in milliseconds, with field-level conflict resolution and an inspectable event log.
On the Xactly side: Orders, Credits, Transactions (Commission & Bonus), Participants (Payees), plus custom fields where Xactly exposes them. On the Ceridian Dayforce side: Employee (HR / Person Details), Employment Status, Work Assignments, Compensation Summary & Pay Adjustments. Stacksync auto-detects both schemas and converts types between the two systems.
Yes. Each object mapping can be bidirectional or restricted to a single direction (both systems accept writes). Read-only mirrors, one-way pushes, and full two-way sync can be mixed in the same integration.
