Two-way sync
Changes in Bill or Pendo instantly reflect in both systems. No stale data, no manual imports.
Keep Bill and Pendo in sync without custom scripts. Cut weeks of integration work, eliminate silent data drift, and give your team a single, reliable source of truth.
Bill holds the financial truth: who the customers are, what they were invoiced, what they paid, and what revenue landed. Pendo is where that data is turned into dashboards, reports, and metrics, but it only reflects the world as of its last load. When the connection between them is a scheduled extract or a hand-built pipeline, analysis runs a step behind the books, and the numbers on a chart rarely match the numbers in the finance system.
Stacksync keeps Customers, Payments, Chart of Accounts, Bank Accounts in Bill in sync with Feature Events, Page Events, Guide Events, Poll / NPS Responses in Pendo, field by field and in real time. A customer, invoice, or amount created or corrected in Bill shows up in Pendo within seconds, mapped to the right record. Where Pendo keeps its own accounts or users, the flow runs both ways, so finance attributes can enrich what Pendo already tracks.
There is no middleware to build, no API rate limits to babysit, and no nightly job that leaves the morning's reporting running on yesterday's figures.
A customer or account in Bill is matched to the corresponding record in Pendo, so financial numbers join cleanly to whatever Pendo already reports on.
The amounts Bill records sit next to product, usage, or operational data in Pendo, so a single view combines what was billed with what actually happened.
Instead of waiting for a scheduled load, Pendo updates the moment a figure moves in Bill, so a dashboard opened at any point in the day is current.
Representative objects on each side — any object or custom field can map to any target. Schemas are auto-detected; types are converted between the two systems.
| Bill objects | Pendo objects | How this pairing syncs | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Vendors Payee master records; synced two-way with vendor/supplier tables in an ERP or accounting system so new payees don't have to be re-keyed. | Guide Events Guide seen/advanced/dismissed and step events for in-app walkthroughs; read-only through the Aggregation API to measure onboarding flow adoption. | Vendors is specific to Bill and Guide Events to Pendo — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Invoices Accounts-receivable invoices sent to customers; created and read via /v3/invoices to keep billing status aligned with the ERP or CRM. | Poll / NPS Responses Survey answers and NPS scores captured in-app (pollEvents / npsEvents); read-only via the Aggregation API as voice-of-customer data. | Invoices is specific to Bill and Poll / NPS Responses to Pendo — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Customers AR customer master records; mapped to customer/account records in a CRM or ERP so finance and sales share one view. | Features / Pages / Guides (metadata) Definitions of tagged UI elements listed through the entity endpoints; read-only reference used to label and join the event streams. | Customers is specific to Bill and Features / Pages / Guides (metadata) to Pendo — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Payments Outgoing vendor payments and received customer payments; read for reconciliation and created to schedule bill pay. | Visitors End-user records with agent-collected and custom fields; queried through the Aggregation API and enriched with custom fields written back via the Metadata API. | Payments is specific to Bill and Visitors to Pendo — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Chart of Accounts GL accounts used to code bills and invoices; typically mastered in the accounting system and written into BILL for consistent coding. | Accounts Company/workspace records that roll visitors up to an account dimension; readable via Aggregation and a write target for custom fields (plan, ARR, health) via the Metadata API. | Chart of Accounts is specific to Bill and Accounts to Pendo — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Bank Accounts Funding and deposit accounts; read to reconcile payments and posted transactions against the ledger. | Feature Events Click/interaction events on tagged features, read-only through the Aggregation API over an event-time window and joined to the Feature definitions. | Bank Accounts is specific to Bill and Feature Events to Pendo — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. |
Each direction of the sync is driven by what the source system can signal and what the destination accepts — detection, delivery, and expected latency below.
DetectionBill notifies Stacksync of record changes through webhook events. Webhook event subscriptions (POST /v3/subscriptions) for bills, vendors, payments, invoices, and bank accounts, with polling on.
DeliveryEach detected change is written to Pendo through its API, with automatic retries and rate-limit backoff.
DetectionStacksync polls Pendo for changes on an incremental schedule, reading only records changed since the previous pass. Polling - reads query the Aggregation API over event-time windows.
DeliveryEach detected change is written to Bill through its API, with automatic retries and rate-limit backoff.

Pick the Bill and Pendo objects to sync — Stacksync auto-detects both schemas, including custom fields where the platform exposes them. Sync to existing tables, or let Stacksync create new ones with ideal data types.
Fields map automatically even when names and types differ. Stacksync handles transformation and type casting for you, zero configuration required.
Yes. Stacksync provides a managed, real-time two-way integration between Bill and Pendo: authenticate both systems, choose the objects to sync (such as Bill's Vendors and Invoices), map fields visually, and changes propagate both ways in milliseconds — no code required.
Common patterns for Bill and Pendo: One customer key across both; Revenue alongside the rest of the data; Reports refresh as the books change. A customer or account in Bill is matched to the corresponding record in Pendo, so financial numbers join cleanly to whatever Pendo already reports on.
Bill: REST/JSON (BILL v3 Connect API). Authentication: Session-based: POST /v3/login with username, password, organizationId, and a developer key (devKey) returns a sessionId that is passed with the devKey as headers on every subsequent call; OAuth is available for partner/embedded apps. Pendo: Pendo Engage API (REST) on app.pendo.io (US) / app.eu.pendo.io (EU), base path /api/v1/ - Aggregation API for reads and the Metadata API for writes. Authentication: Integration key sent in the x-pendo-integration-key header, generated in Subscription Settings; keys are scoped read-only or read/write, so writes require a read/write key. Stacksync manages authentication, retries, and rate limits on both sides.
Bill: Webhook event subscriptions are limited to up to 10 per organization and cover bills, vendors, payments, invoices, and bank accounts; Spend & Expense webhooks run only in the production environment. Pendo: US data lives on app.pendo.io and EU data on app.eu.pendo.io; the API base path is /api/v1/ and an integration key is tied to a single subscription and region. Stacksync's field mapping accounts for these differences between Bill and Pendo without custom code.
Stacksync is SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 certified with HIPAA BAA support. Data is encrypted in transit, and a zero-persistent-storage architecture means Bill and Pendo records are not retained after a sync operation.
Stacksync pricing is usage-based and starts at $1,000/month, including the managed Bill and Pendo connectors, real-time two-way sync, monitoring, and support. That replaces building and maintaining a custom Bill–Pendo integration in-house.
