Two-way sync
Changes in Bill or Cvent instantly reflect in both systems. No stale data, no manual imports.
Keep Bill and Cvent in sync without custom scripts. Cut weeks of integration work, eliminate silent data drift, and give your team a single, reliable source of truth.
Bill records the money — who pays, how much, and whether they are current; Cvent decides who hears from the business and what they hear. The two overlap wherever the same customers and contacts matter to both, and when that overlap is bridged by CSV exports or an overnight batch, campaigns target on stale billing data and finance works from lists marketing has already changed underneath it.
Stacksync syncs Chart of Accounts, Bank Accounts, Vendor Credits and Credit Memos, Bills in Bill with Attendees and Registrations, Sessions, Speakers, Exhibitors in Cvent field by field, in real time, and in both directions. You decide which system owns which fields — finance keeps the revenue and payment truth, marketing keeps consent and engagement — and Stacksync keeps every copy consistent and resolves conflicts by rules you set.
Registrants, form fills, or leads created in Cvent create or update the matching customer or contact in Bill, so billing and reporting start from accurate details without re-entry.
Trial, renewal, churn, or payment state from Bill updates the contact in Cvent, so lifecycle campaigns and audience suppression run on current billing reality.
Email, phone, address, and opt-out flags kept in either system stay consistent in the other, so every send and record honors the latest preferences.
Representative objects on each side — any object or custom field can map to any target. Schemas are auto-detected; types are converted between the two systems.
| Bill objects | Cvent objects | How this pairing syncs | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bills Accounts-payable amounts owed to vendors, with bill line items; read and created via /v3/bills and pulled incrementally by filtering on createdTime/updatedTime. | Speakers Speaker records tied to an event; synced two-way with a speaker database or CMS, with an updatedDate on each record for incremental pulls. | Bills is specific to Bill and Speakers to Cvent — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Vendors Payee master records; synced two-way with vendor/supplier tables in an ERP or accounting system so new payees don't have to be re-keyed. | Exhibitors Exhibitor and sponsor records; synced to a CRM or database to track booth, sponsorship, and lead-capture data per event. | Vendors is specific to Bill and Exhibitors to Cvent — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Invoices Accounts-receivable invoices sent to customers; created and read via /v3/invoices to keep billing status aligned with the ERP or CRM. | Surveys Survey definitions and responses; read out to a warehouse for post-event feedback analysis alongside attendance data. | Invoices is specific to Bill and Surveys to Cvent — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Customers AR customer master records; mapped to customer/account records in a CRM or ERP so finance and sales share one view. | Budgets Event budget line items; read into a finance database or ERP to reconcile planned versus actual event spend. | Customers is specific to Bill and Budgets to Cvent — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Payments Outgoing vendor payments and received customer payments; read for reconciliation and created to schedule bill pay. | Events Top-level event containers created and updated through the Events endpoints; read out for reporting and written to provision events from an external system. | Payments is specific to Bill and Events to Cvent — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Chart of Accounts GL accounts used to code bills and invoices; typically mastered in the accounting system and written into BILL for consistent coding. | Contacts Account-wide people database spanning every event; synced two-way with a CRM or warehouse as the shared audience source of truth via the Create Contacts endpoint. | Chart of Accounts is specific to Bill and Contacts to Cvent — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. |
Each direction of the sync is driven by what the source system can signal and what the destination accepts — detection, delivery, and expected latency below.
DetectionBill notifies Stacksync of record changes through webhook events. Webhook event subscriptions (POST /v3/subscriptions) for bills, vendors, payments, invoices, and bank accounts, with polling on.
DeliveryEach detected change is written to Cvent through its API, with automatic retries and rate-limit backoff.
DetectionCvent notifies Stacksync of record changes through webhook events. Per-event webhooks push attendee, registration, session, and speaker changes.

Configure and sync within minutes, no code. Whether you sync 50k or 100M+ records, Stacksync handles the queues, infra, and plumbing. Integrations are non-invasive and need zero setup on your systems.
Authenticate Bill and Cvent with each platform's native method — OAuth, API keys, or service accounts — plus secure options like SSH tunneling, IP whitelisting, and VPC peering.
Pick the Bill and Cvent objects to sync — Stacksync auto-detects both schemas, including custom fields where the platform exposes them. Sync to existing tables, or let Stacksync create new ones with ideal data types.
Fields map automatically even when names and types differ. Stacksync handles transformation and type casting for you, zero configuration required.
Yes. Stacksync provides a managed, real-time two-way integration between Bill and Cvent: authenticate both systems, choose the objects to sync (such as Bill's Bills and Vendors), map fields visually, and changes propagate both ways in milliseconds — no code required.
On the Bill side: Chart of Accounts, Bank Accounts, Vendor Credits and Credit Memos, Bills, plus custom fields where Bill exposes them. On the Cvent side: Attendees and Registrations, Sessions, Speakers, Exhibitors. Stacksync auto-detects both schemas and converts types between the two systems.
Yes. Each object mapping can be bidirectional or restricted to a single direction (both systems accept writes). Read-only mirrors, one-way pushes, and full two-way sync can be mixed in the same integration.
Common patterns for Bill and Cvent: Where Cvent captures new people: clean records flow to finance; Where Bill tracks lifecycle state: keep Cvent current; Consent and contact details stay aligned. Registrants, form fills, or leads created in Cvent create or update the matching customer or contact in Bill, so billing and reporting start from accurate details without re-entry.
Bill: REST/JSON (BILL v3 Connect API). Authentication: Session-based: POST /v3/login with username, password, organizationId, and a developer key (devKey) returns a sessionId that is passed with the devKey as headers on every subsequent call; OAuth is available for partner/embedded apps. Cvent: Cvent REST API (JSON over HTTPS at api-platform.cvent.com/ea, paginated list endpoints). Authentication: OAuth 2.0 client-credentials flow: a client ID and secret are Basic-auth exchanged for a 60-minute bearer token at api-platform.cvent.com/ea/oauth2/token; legacy API-key and SOAP/CSN auth are deprecated. Stacksync manages authentication, retries, and rate limits on both sides.
Bill: List endpoints support filtering and sorting on createdTime and updatedTime with ISO 8601 date-time ranges, which sync engines use to pull only incremental changes. Cvent: Webhooks are configured per event through the Integrations menu (over account-level defaults), so each new event needs its subscriptions enabled before attendee, session, and speaker changes start flowing. Stacksync's field mapping accounts for these differences between Bill and Cvent without custom code.
